Chapter 252: Heracio Silva And Walter Santiago (Part 2)
Because Kenny Lin had mentioned before that they’are going to find the military, Amalia also had some goodwill towards the military.
The situation of the military personnel was not just not very good, but rather very bad.
The mutated creatures they ultimately dealt with were a kind of communal demonic celestial wolf, each one of then come with formidable strength.
In order to deal with these mutated creatures, the military suffered significant losses.
But before they could clean up the battlefield, assess the losses, and treat the wounded one, the Astral Demoniaco Sect, which had been hiding in the shadows, emerged to take advantage of the chaos.
The leader of their group is the black-robed man who was searching for the female Demonic Cultivator.
His exposed head bore a half-face tattoo of an enraged lion with claws bared.
"Heracio Silva, we meet again. Your situation doesn’t look too good. Do you need our help?" Walter Santiago’s words carried a deeper meaning.
Heracio Silva stood tall and straight, exuding an air of pride and determination.
Upon hearing Walter Santiago’s veiled threat and observing their own situation, he knew that he wouldn’t let this opportunity slip away.
However, he remained composed: "Walter Santiago, I’ll let you go today. Take your people and leave."
"Haha, Heracio Silva, times have changed. Who lets whom go, can’t you tell?"
Walter Santiago laughed heartily.
"Even if you can handle it by yourself, can you protect all of your soldiers one by one?"
The threat in his words caused General Silva’s face to darken.
"General, we are not afraid to die!"
The vice general wielded a large blade artifact with many nicks on its blade.
And his face was smeared with blood.
His fearless expression and spirit also infected the other soldiers.
Each one claiming that they were not afraid to die!
Their mission was to protect their homeland, defend the country’s security, and not allow outsiders to trample upon it, even if it cost them their lives.
"General, whatever decision you make, we’ll follow you without hesitation," one soldier declared firmly.
"The Astral Demoniaco Sect massacres innocent humans with ruthless and bloody methods. They must be eradicated, and we must not let them off the hook," General Silva laughed heartily, while looking up at the sky.
"Do you hear that, Walter Santiago? My soldiers fear nothing. If you want to fight, bring it on. If not, then leave!"
Walter Santiago’s smug expression had been replaced by a gloomy one: "Showing off bravery of a mere mortal. My Astral Demoniaco Sect also has people who unafraid of death. For the greater cause, sacrifices can be made at any time. Do you think your concealment can fooling anyone? Your soldiers are already at their weakest. If a real fight breaks out, I wonder if you’ll be as composed as you are now."
"Listen to my command, Heracio Silva is mine and the rest are yours, don’t let a single one escape."
Walter Santiago raised his hand, and the black-robed man behind him immediately echoed his order.
The tension filled the air and on the verge of eruption.
Suddenly, a clang sound resounded from nowhere, and the shouts from both sides pierced through the sky as the forces clashed.
The black and white force was merging into a fierce battle.
"We should go help them," Amalia observed the situation.
She could sense that the military side wouldn’t hold out much any longer and many of their artifacts seemingly had already broken.
"Agreed, Walter Santiago is handed over to General Silva, he can handle it himself."
With the decision was made, the two of then entered the battle.
Kenny Lin’s strength was already very strong, allowing him to assist General Silva without any trouble.
His strikes were precise, and often catching the enemy off guard before they could even react, leaving only the heads that was rolling on the ground.
On the other side, Amalia proved herself worthy as well.
She hold her pseudo-spiritual artifact on her hand, while turning each black-robed man into a fireball in an instant with her precise attack.
The cries of agony were incessant, but compared to those who fell by Kenny Lin’s hand, their deaths were perhaps more merciful.
The duo’s widespread carnage quickly drew the attention of both factions.
The sudden eruption of fireballs made it impossible for them to go unnoticed.
The soldiers of the military noticed the duo only targeting the members of the Astral Deminiaco Sect and they are very powerful.
Their morale suddenly surged and they are fighting as if their lives were depended on it.
Amalia saved several soldiers who were taking heavy hits.
"Don’t charge recklessly."
She grabbed one of the soldier.
When he turner around to look at her, she realize that his eyes were already turned red.
Amalia noticed one of his hands was already missing and she suddenly understood why he disregarded his own safety and charged ahead.
"You’re injured. Don’t charge anymore. Find a place to rest, leave the rest to us," Amalia advised.
"Our destiny is to die on the battlefield, and with one of my hand had already gone, I can’t return to being a soldier," the soldier immediately told her the truth when he looking at Amalia’s earnest expression.
"It doesn’t have to be that way. If you give up now, you’ll lose your life and hope. You don’t need to go to your death right now. Just rest peacefully," Amalia pushed him out of the fighting zone.
After hesitating for a moment, the soldier finally appreciated Amalia’s efforts and didn’t charge back into battlefield.
This time, Amalia purposefully sought out the people.
She directed the injured soldiers and those whose unable to continue to fight to the sidelines.
Those who could still fight were tasked with luring the members of the Astral Demoniaco Sect into a trap, and then launching a coordinated attack to eliminate them.
Unconsciously, the surrounding soldiers regarded Amalia as their leader.
Without her needing to say anything, they cooperated with her willingly.
