Chapter 170: Spiritual Meat (Part 2)
"Amalia, i didn’t know that you were this skilled. How did you make this barbecue? It’s smells so good," Elena Sandoval salivating a bit.
She noticed that there was quite a lot of meat.
Did Amalia know they were coming and deliberately made extra?
"How come you guys are here?" Amalia packed the grilled meat into a box, which not meeting Elena Sandoval’s wish.
Elena Sandoval then displayed a disappointed expression.
...
Kenny Lin looked around the villa expressionlessly, picked up a note, and Amalia’s strong and forceful handwriting leapt into his view: "I haven’t repaid you for those things before. The box contains spiritual meat I grilled. Inside is a storage space; spiritual meat can be preserved for a relatively long time. Take it to the new disaster zone, it should last you for half a month. Amalia."
Kenny Lin put away the note and lifted the box.
Indeed, it contained a lot of spiritual meat that looked freshly grilled.
The scent was trapped inside, and unable to escape, but as soon as he took it out, the fragrance was filled the air.
In order to grill this meat, Amalia had continuously grilled them for several hours, and causing complaints throughout the entire dormitory building.
If it weren’t for them being unable to defeat Amalia, they would have already taken action against her.
The next day, the top fifty seniors student departed early with the main group, and Kenny Lin was also among them.
They are many student who didn’t follow their respective families, including several student from the yoder family who people thought they would.
The school didn’t comment on this matter.
Meanwhile, the members of various major families had already gathered and set off ahead of time.
Most other senior students also received tasks related to the disaster zone and left one after another.
The spacious campus, after a brief lively period, returned to it calm state on a smaller scale.
Just when everyone expected this quiet atmosphere to last for a while, a few days later, the school announced new regulations concerning freshmen, as predicted by Mighel Zepeda.
In order to balance things out, the school granted first- and second-year students a chance to challenge students from other classes based on their situations.
Simultaneously, the school issued several additional explanations.
For instance, a student could only challenge once per semester.
If they used up their chance, they’d have to wait until the end of the semester.
Without such limitations, chaos would likely ensue at the school in no time.
The idea of constant challenges was simply not feasible.
Nevertheless, the first and second-year students were overjoyed.
It meant they had two chances per semester, which, compared to the previous policy, was only one less opportunity.
Some were pleased while others were worried.
For instance, there was Sebastian Caceres, who had been defeated by Amalia.
According to vivid descriptions from class 9, as soon as the new regulation was announced, Sebastian Caceres’s expression turned as grim as moss-covered stone.
From his standpoint, he had no doubt that Amalia would use her sole chance to fight against him.
They had a grudge, and he had lost once.
He dared not provoke Amalia again.
Others from class 1 were also worried.
Everyone wished to be in class 1, but with eight other classes eyeing their spot, the pressure had skyrocketed.
Yet, pressure could also be beneficial, and driving them forward.
The atmosphere of pressure that had formed was something the school was happy to see.
Therefore, after the announcement of the new regulation, the school leadership departed.
Everyone was speculating whether Amalia would choose Sebastian Caceres.
Xylia Lazaro hoped Amalia wouldn’t choose him.
He wasn’t sure whom Amalia would pick, and feeling that considering her personality, she might not choose Sebastian Caceres again.
But he also feared being chosen by her, although the odds were low.
Unable to resist the urge, he tried to gather information and ended up bumping into Javier Hermandez at the door.
Both harboring secret intentions, they could easily read each other’s thoughts.
After a long silence, Xylia Lazaro took the initiative, "How about teaming up?"
"Sure, that’s great," Javier Hermandez eagerly agreed.
More people meant sharing the pressure and acting less cowardly.
The two entered the dormitory building together, only to be informed that Amalia wasn’t there.
They found out she was attending a class on artifact refining college today.
Their alliance instantly dissolved, and each of them going to their separate ways.
Amalia returned to the artefact refining class, and she remember that she actually had skipped the classes many times.
Professor Frans had a habit of calling student names, so she wanted to come back and take a look.
When her name was called, as expected, Professor Frans remembered her.
"Isn’t this the only freshman from the weaponry departements who chose artefact refining? Finally she found time to grace my humble class. It’s quite rare. Why is the big shot here today?" Professor Frans remarked with indifferent face, it’s hard to know whether he was joking or not.
In the spacious classroom, giggles erupted among the students.
"Did the sun rise in the west today? Doesn’t seem like it. When I left home this morning, the sun was rising in the east," Professor Frans continued, as if no one else was around, his tone was playful.
Amalia remained silent.
Glancing at the stifled laughter among the students, Professor Frans asked, "What’s so funny? Any reason to laugh? I’m talking to you."
But it was the last sentence directed at Amalia.
Seeing his insistence on an answer, Amalia nodded, "Yeah, I’m free today."
The classroom fell silent instantly, not a sound could be heard.
Professor Frans chuckled in exasperation, "Great! I love this response. So spirited. Too spirited! Well then, let this spirited individual come up and demonstrate the assignment from the previous class. Let’s see if you truly grasp the essence of ’having free time’."
Professor Frans had taught the artefact refining class for many years and had encountered all sorts of students.
