Chapter 148: Showdown (Part 2)
The peak level 5 rank pressure released by Sebastian Caceres abruptly faltered.
In the audience section, there erupted a burst of mocking laughter.
It was Elena Sandoval and Douglas Valentina’s group.
"I’m dying laughing. Does this man truly believe this bit of aura can scare anyone? Does he misunderstand something about being at the peak level 5 rank?" one student chuckled.
"He’s about to lose face this time," Mighel Zepeda grinned.
The referee cleared his throat, "Since both sides have made their decision, then let’s begin!"
Sebastian Caceres turned all the humiliation into motivation, and began to launch an attack that looked like a serpentine black shadow accompanied by fierce astral winds towards Amalia, "Go to hell."
He was indeed using the Dragon Bone Whip as mentioned by Xylia Lazaro, which is a lethal method of attack.
It was evident how much Amalia’s words had provoked him, and pushed him to almost lose his control.
The moment Amalia moved, the floor she stood on instantly shattered into pieces.
The strength of the attack, coupled with Sebastian Caceres’s whip speed, left hardly any footholds around her.
If anyone came within three meters, the Dragon Bone Whip would mercilessly lash out at them.
Amalia lost the initiative to attack and could only dodge passively, searching for an opportunity to counter.
"Sebastian Caceres really spared no expense," Rasler Yoder said while sitting in a corner of the audience.
He observed this scene and remarked with a smile.
Karina Wences didn’t catch the point, "What do you mean?"
"Don’t you notice? Sebastian Caceres’s Dragon Bone Whip seems unusually ferocious today," Rasler Yoder explained.
He didn’t blame her for not noticing; it had just started, and the changes in the Dragon Bone Whip weren’t apparent yet.
Karina Wences observed carefully for a while, "Indeed, what’s happening? Did he get an artificer to redesign the Dragon Bone Whip?"
"It’s not that simple to redesign the Dragon Bone Whip on its existing foundation. He probably also made some change with the inscriptions," Rasler Yoder explained calmly.
"You mean, the inscriptions he’s using today are extraordinary?" Karina Wences exclaimed.
"If I’m not mistaken, he has two inscriptions on his Dragon Bone Whip, one for attack and another for speed. The destructive power of the Dragon Bone Whip itself is already substantial. By enhancing it further, the destructive force becomes even more astonishing. Considering the whip’s long-range nature, if he can speed up its swings, it’ll make it even harder for opponents to approach him. This man isn’t foolish; he’s quite thorough in his planning," Rasler Yoder chuckled lightly.
Karina Wences’s eyes brightened, "Doesn’t that mean Amalia is doomed to be defeated? With Sebastian Caceres’s strength, he can unleash attacks possibly over a thousand times. Although Amalia can dodge, as the match progresses, she not only loses physical stamina but also her concentration."
Rasler Yoder nodded, "Exactly. As the showdown stage gets more damaged, finding footholds would become harder. A slight delay could mean the end of this match."
"Haha, she doesn’t match up in strength, her artifact isn’t on the same high level as him, and she can’t match with his speed either. She’s already doomed to lose!" Karina Wences was quite content to see Amalia lose.
"Now, let’s see how she plans to counter this," Rasler Yoder said with a squinting smile.
"Xylia, what do you think?" in a corner of the stands, was Xylia Lazaro and his friend.
There was no way Xylia Lazaro would miss the match between Sebastian Caceres and Amalia.
He snorted, and said, "He’s indeed smart, but I don’t believe Amalia isn’t prepared for anything."
Also attending the match were Alex Rodriguez and his sister, Grace Rodriguez.
Seeing Amalia completely suppressed by Sebastian Caceres, the siblings were flushed with excitement.
"Sebastian Caceres, come on, you must, must defeat Amalia," Grace Rodriguez’s eyes were red with intensity, and fixed on the showdown stage, almost immersing herself in Sebastian Caceres’s role.
With each whip, her face contorted further in ferocity.
Not far from them were Amalia’s former roommates, Dianna Yeste and two others.
Upon hearing that Amalia and Sebastian Caceres were having a showdown here, they rushed over.
Dianna Yeste, harboring deep hatred towards Amalia, also hoped Sebastian Caceres would defeat her, and preferably humiliate her thoroughly.
Among the audience, those rooting for Amalia’s defeat accounted for at least eighty percent.
"Elena, if you were in Amalia’s situation, how would you break this and tackle the current challenge?" Mighel Zepeda suddenly asked.
Elena Sandoval was intensely focused on watching.
It took her for a while before she responded, "Me? Of course, I’d first dismantle Sebastian Caceres’s Dragon Bone Whip."
"The issue is how?" Mighel Zepeda probed.
"I don’t know," Elena Sandoval replied.
After just a short observation, she was already feeling a headache.
She realized that if she were in the game, she’d already be covered in blood.
Suddenly, a chill ran down her spine, she then asked, "What do you think?"
"If it were me, I’d probably confront it head-on," Mighel Zepeda could only think of that method.
"How do you mean, confront it head-on?" Elena Sandoval asked, confused.
"I know," Douglas Valentina who is standing nearby, shouted, "What about using a defensive or offensive artifact, and unleashing a powerful attack to disrupt Sebastian Caceres’s assault and mess up his rhythm?"
"Exactly, It seems Amalia also has taught you well during this time. I was just thinking the same thing," Mighel Zepeda praised.
Elena Sandoval looked dejected. Why hadn’t she thought of that?
"However, Amalia probably won’t do that," a class 9 student in front turned back.
Mighel Zepeda nodded, "Right, Amalia won’t do that."
"Why not? I think that method is pretty good," Elena Sandoval still didn’t understand.
A classmate explained, "Sebastian Caceres’s Dragon Bone Whip primarily focuses on destroying the opponent’s artifact. I’ve seen his matches before, and anyone who chose to confront the Dragon Bone Whip head-on eventually lost because their artifact was destroyed."
"Then Amalia might be in trouble," Elena Sandoval worried.
"Can she find an opportunity to counterattack?"
"I don’t know. Sebastian Caceres indeed has some tricks," Mighel Zepeda said before changing the subject.
"But I believe Amalia is more skilled than him. Although she’s just dodging now, she hasn’t fully utilized her abilities yet."
As they chattered away, after nearly six minutes of steady offense and defense on the stage, a sudden change occurred.
Amalia suddenly caught Sebastian Caceres in a mistake and swiftly took advantage on it.
"He’s going to lose," Rasler Yoder suddenly remarked.
"What?" Karina Wences hadn’t grasped it yet.
