Chapter 140: Challenge

Amalia shook her head, and no longer entertaining these unrealistic thoughts.

Entering the training room, she found there were already people in the place where she usually trained.

Everytime she changing the room, it always shown the room was occupied.

She didn’t mind it and turned around to head to the pharmacy.

After a few days, the injuries on her body, thanks to the meat Kenny Lin gave her, had almost no internal damage, only some surface bruises remained.

However, training was not just physical torment; it also required herbal baths.

The meat that imbued with spiritual energy was more effective than herbs, but the supply Kenny Lin provided was already consumed.

Therefore, she could only resort to herbal baths for now.

Amalia quickly purchased a heap of herbs from the pharmacy and ordered an urgent delivery for a medicine tub, which arrived in less than two hours.

Following the prescribed proportions, she concocted herbal ointments and solutions, pouring the solution into the medicine tub and applying the ointment to her body.

As soon as she applied the ointment, every cell in her body seemed to scream.

Her body felt like it was in a furnace, amplifying the pain even in areas that weren’t initially hurting.

Merely applying the ointment was the start; the real discomfort began when her entire body immersed into the medicine tub.

Ancient texts mentioned that this was when the medicine was taking effect.

If she scraping off the ointment immediately it would nullify the previous efforts.

Amalia soaked in the medical tub for three hours.

The liquid in the tub transformed from a dark brew to a clear concoction, with some black residue floating on the surface, which is remnants of the brewing process.

All the essence of the herbs had been absorbed by her.

As she emerged from the tub, the bruises on her skin had considerably faded, and barely noticeable upon a casual glance.

After drying her naked body, she then clenching her fists and she instantly could felt a surge of vigorous strength emanating from her muscles.

After several days of training, her muscles’ density was noticeably improved.

Indeed, only by investing heavily could the effects become more pronounced.

The next day, Amalia returned to the training room.

Similar to the previous day, each room was overcrowded.

This time, however, she finally realized something was amiss.

Once could be considered a coincidence, but experiencing the same situation twice wasn’t mere chance.

Today, she intentionally arrived early.

The training rooms were usually never this crowded; suddenly becoming full was unlikely unless someone was deliberately targeting her.

Stepping back, Amalia pondered who could be behind such a move.

Rasler Yoder? He was quite deep-minded; such childish tactics were unlikely to be his doing.

As she turned around, someone walked in. Seeing Amalia’s surprised expression, the person asked, "Why are you still here?"

It was Xylia Lazaro.

"Why wouldn’t I be here?" Amalia asked calmly in return.

"Haven’t you checked the forum?" Xylia Lazaro chuckled.

"Someone posted a challenge directed at you. You should be a hot topic by now. I thought you’d have seen it already. If Sebastian Caceres knew he orchestrated a drama, but the main character didn’t even know about it, I wonder what expression he’d have."

Amalia had only checked the school forum before the start of classes and hadn’t visited it since.

Shee didn’t know many people there, so how would she know what was happening on the forum?

Opening the forum, Amalia found it hard to pinpoint the key information among the numerous replies.

"Let me tell you," Xylia Lazaro said.

He want to wait to gauge Amalia reaction, but seeing her slow response, she couldn’t hold back, he continue: "In short, on your first day of school, you offended Sebastian Caceres. He’s malicious and won’t let anyone who humiliates him go unscathed. So, he’s targeted you. He openly issued a challenge on the forum, wanting to give you a profound lesson in front of the whole school. That’s the gist of it."

"He issued a challenge, and I should accept?" Amalia asked casually as she scrolled through the posts, her expression unchanged.

Xylia Lazaro was astonished, "Don’t you plan to accept it?"

Amalia lifted her head, and meeting Xylia Lazaro’s astonished eyes calmly, "What’s the issue?"

"The issue is significant! When someone challenges you, if you not taking up the challenge it will only make your days at Heavenly Path University tougher," Xylia Lazaro retorted.

"As a spirit cultivator, you must dare to fight and not retreat. Refusing and leaving an impression on everyone is a secondary things. What matters is the impression you leave on your mentor. A person who dares not accept a challenge, what future prospects can they have? You must understand, some resources depend on whether your mentor and the school approve it," she explained.

Xylia Lazaro is really admired Amalia, but not in a romantic way.

He genuinely hoped Amalia could defeat Sebastian Caceres and always felt she had that capability.

"I understand, thank you for the reminder," Amalia nodded.

"When do you plan to accept his challenge?" Xylia Lazaro probed.

Amalia remembered something, "Can I set the match time at my discretion?"

"Of course, but don’t think about setting it in a week or a month. These challenges usually happen in the short term. Even though it’s hard to predict the outcome, you’re in different classes—he’s in class 1, you’re in class 9. The gap is substantial. But if class 1 gets defeated by class 9, it’ll be a massive loss of face for him. I’ll support you, Amalia," Xylia Lazaro playfully winked at her.

"Do you know about the situation in the training rooms here?" Amalia informed him about the overcrowded training rooms these past few days.

Xylia Lazaro frowned, "I’m not sure, but I can look into it for you. Such moves usually leave some traces."

"If you can defeated Sebastian Caceres, it’ll be the greatest gratitude to me," He added before Amalia could refuse his help.

Amalia, who had intended to decline his assistance, ended up consenting.

[ 1st Comment: "Sebastian Caceres really dares to go all out, falling to this extent. A Class 1 actually challenging a Class 9—what kind of deep-seated grudge is this?" ]

[ 2nd Comment: "If Sebastian Caceres loses this time, it’ll be embarrassing, hehe." ]

[ 3rd Comment: "The second floor is talking nonsense. How could Sebastian Caceres possibly lose? One in the top fifty of the grade, and the other at the bottom fifty. Who’s more impressive? Can’t you figure that out?" ]

[ 4th Comment: "He knows that the Class 9 students can’t beat her, yet he still goes to challenge her. Doesn’t he have any self-awareness? It’s clear bullying. I’d definitely ignore someone like that." ]

[ 5th Comment: "I’m really curious, who is Amalia from Class 9? With such a big gap, what did she do to earn the resentment of such a petty-minded man?" ]

[ 6th Comment: "Agreed with the 5th floor." ]

[ 7th Comment: "Agreed with the 5th floor." ]

[ 15th Comment: "According to insiders, Sebastian Caceres approached Amalia unsuccessfully, got ignored by Amalia from Class 9, he felt embarrassed, and then did this humiliating thing." ]

[ 16th Comment: "Stop spreading rumors. Who is Sebastian Caceres? The grade’s idol. Plenty of people pursue him. How could he possibly try to approach someone from Class 9?" ]

[ 17th Comment: "Haha, that’s because that bastard Sebastian Caceres didn’t know she was from Class 9. He just sees someone so beautiful and acts like a horny dog. He really thinks he’s everyone’s darling. Despicable behavior." ]

[ 18th Comment: "Where did the jerk from the 17th floor crawl out from? Who allowed you to speak ill of our Sebastian? You say Amalia from Class 9 is beautiful, is she really? Accusing our Sebastiwn, dare you to come out and confront us?" ]

[ 19th Comment: "Always talking about sebastian caceres, not all families have the same dog, no wonder he bites everyone." ]

[ 105th Comment: "Let me spill some info. Those who think Amalia is good-looking probably haven’t seen her in person. I have, spent some time around her. She’s just an arrogant and conceited girl, she always thinks highly of herself." ]

[ 106th Comment: "Exactly, before coming to Heavenly Path University, who wasn’t a master at home? She even orders her roommates around to tidy up her room, shameless!" ]

[ 201st Comment: "Let me share some info. Amalia from Class 9 does indeed look very beautiful. I’ve seen it myself, not much different from goddess Zanilia Zhao’s appearance. However, she usually keeps a low profile, and focuses on her studies without offending or bothering anyone, so few people know who she really is." ]

[ 202nd Comment: "Haha, could the one above be Amalia ’Dog’ herself? Boasting about yourself without feeling embarrassed?" ]

[ 203rd Comment: "I’m from the 201st. I swear, you dare insult my Sister Amalia by calling him a dog? Do you want me to send you to meet the Buddha in the Western Heaven? Do you have the guts to reveal your real name!" ]

[ 204th Comment: "I’m still from the 201st. Sister Amalia is upright; it’s just that she didn’t fancy that bastard Sebastian Caceres. Did he really thinks he’s incredibly attractive, huh? If he really have the guts then to go after Zanilia Zhao instead. Let’s see if you dare act flirtatious in front of her!" ]

[ 205th Comment: "Thinking our Sister Amalia doesn’t have anyone to defend her, and only that bastard Sebastian Caceres does? Everyone from Class 9 will curse you to death!" ]
