Chapter 1225: Journey to Planet Omicron
Of course, the station master didn’t dare to underestimate the other battleship.
They knew how to pick their targets.
And this massive Battleship was clearly not one to be trifled with.
Five hours later, the Pleiades Star System’s giant battleship finally completed its refueling.
In order to reach their destination as quickly as possible, they immediately performed a space jump, traveling across most of the Erebos Star System.
Just as they were preparing for a second space jump, Officer Khan and his team refused.
"At the current speed of both battleships, we can reach the Pleiades Star System within 20 days. We don’t think there’s any need to rush," Officer Khan said.
Miralles couldn’t believe it. "Didn’t we agree to reach the Pleiades Star System within a month?"
On the giant screen, Officer Khan smiled. "Mr. Envoy, please think carefully. Did we ever agree to arrive within a month?"
Miralles fell silent.
He suddenly realized that there had never been such an agreement.
It was his own side that had estimated they could return in a month.
The ones who were anxious to go back had always been them.
"Space jumps should only be used under specific conditions. We don’t want to waste unnecessary energy. We ask for your understanding, Mr. Envoy," Officer Khan said before cutting the communication.
"Fuck!" Jaime, who had been listening, cursed. "Are they messing with us? First, they refused to refuel on Planet Thanacron. Now they’re telling us they don’t want to waste energy. A backwater star system is still a backwater star system."
"It’s already come to this. We have no choice but to go along with their decision," Miralles sighed, rubbing his face.
Ever since dealing with the Draconis Empire, nothing had gone smoothly for them.
One more inconvenience didn’t make a difference.
"Their desire to conserve energy is quite reasonable. There’s nothing surprising about it. If I were in someone else’s territory, I’d rather take more time than waste too much energy," Xiano said, finding their reasoning understandable.
They thought they had figured out Officer Khan’s reasoning.
In reality, conserving energy was just an excuse—the real reason was to prolong their journey.
More time meant more time for cultivation.
No matter how small the progress, every bit of improvement was valuable.
Since Amalia and Kenny Lin had reached the limits imposed by the cosmic laws, they were unable to break through further.
Instead, they became the two most idle people aboard the Battleship.
Without the need for meditation or cultivation, they suddenly found themselves with plenty of free time.
Amalia decided to fully devote herself to gathering the power of faith from everyone aboard.
The power of faith continuously surged, not only from the million-strong army on the battleship but also from the distant Erythar Star System, which they had long since left behind.
The increase in faith directly reflected in the expansion of Amalia’s small world.
The edges stretched into the void and continuously evolving over the past month.
Now, the small world had grown to the size of Earth.
Within this small world, where cultivation laws were perfectly aligned, Javier and Nazir progressed much faster in their training compared to Khalil and the others.
Amalia became even more dedicated to guiding them, even entertaining the idea of forming a powerful army of cultivators.
Of course, not everyone’s cultivation speed was the same.
Some people, due to their age, had long passed the optimal period for cultivation.
For them, training could only strengthen their bodies and prolong their lifespan.
Amalia temporarily excluded these people from her cultivation efforts.
After another thirteen or fourteen days, they finally saw the Pleiades Star System ahead.
However, simply entering the Pleiades Star System wasn’t the end of their journey.
It would take another six to seven days before they reached their true destination.
Cultivation aboard the Battleship was in full swing.
Everyone wished time would slow down, but eventually, the moment they had been waiting for arrived.
On the morning of the seventh day, a vast, deep-blue planet appeared before them.
From a distance, its immense size wasn’t apparent.
But as they drew closer, they realized it was more than ten times the size of Planet Veloxia, the current capital planet of the Draconis Empire.
"Minister Sharif, General Rafiq, we have arrived at Planet Omicron. Please have your battleship follow us closely. Do not fall behind, or the OPDS (Omicron Planetary Defense System) may mistake you for enemies and attacking you immediately," Miralles transmitted the message to the Battleship.
"Why bother warning them? If they really got attacked by the OPDS, that would be a sight to see," Jaime said maliciously.
"Yeah, and when they go complain to the Council, and the Council comes after us, which one of us do you think will take the blame?" Xiano replied lazily.
Jaime’s expression stiffened.
He snorted coldly and said nothing more.
The other Battleship responded quickly.
Even without Miralles’s reminder, they had no intention of falling behind.
After all, they were piloting an alien Battleship—something no one else would recognize.
Even though Miralles had likely reported their situation to the Crimson Moon Dynasty Empire, they couldn’t afford to be careless in a situation like this.
Miralles had indeed reported it.
When the Council of the Crimson Moon Dynasty Empire learned that the Draconis Empire had seized not one but two alien battleships in the Erythar Star System, they were shocked.
According to the intelligence they had received, the aliens had only sent two cosmic battleships to the Erythar Star System.
To the aliens, taking over that star system should have been an easy victory.
Yet, both of their Cosmic Battleships had fallen into the hands of the Draconis Empire, which meant the aliens had suffered a crushing defeat there.
The Crimson Moon Dynasty Empire’s Council did not dare take this matter lightly.
If the Draconis Empire truly possessed such capabilities, the upcoming Nine Star Systems Conference would have to reevaluate their status.
The captured alien battleships were now officially named Draconis Battleships.
Amalia had no objections.
