Chapter 1191: Turning the Tide

With a deafening roar, the enraged Han Li swung his weapon, forcing both sides to step back.

"Rafael, just because you fought one battle, you think you’re some kind of hero? You’ve killed just as many humans as I have."

"At least I have principles—I won’t betray the empire I was born in."

Rafael growled, his fists glowing with energy as he threw a punch directly at Han Li’s face.

Han Li’s expression changed.

He could tell that if that punch landed, he’d either die or be crippled.

A battle armor materialized around his upper body, and his blade swung up to meet the attack head-on.

Boom!

Both figures staggered back several steps amid a cloud of dust.

Blood dripped onto the ground, and Rafael’s face paled slightly.

Han Li on the other hand, looked to be in slightly better shape.

Just then, a scream echoed from nearby.

A severed arm flew through the air, accompanied by a spray of blood.

The injured party was none other than the cultivator Cao Jingyuan.

He had been ambushed by two fellow cultivators who had defected to the aliens, nearly meeting his end on the spot.

Realizing his life was in danger, Cao Jingyuan abandoned the fight without hesitation, retreating at full speed.

His pursuers immediately gave chase.

Whether by chance or desperation, Cao Jingyuan fled in the exact direction of Luhay and Laith.

At that moment, the two generals were not standing idly behind the lines but were at the front, piloting their mechas and fighting fiercely.

These two were veteran generals.

Among the soldiers, their prestige was even higher than that of the Emperor himself.

"General, be careful!"

Luis, who was nearby, noticed the two cultivators exuding murderous intent.

Without hesitation, he charged forward and shouted angrily, "Cao Jingyuan, what are you doing?!"

Cao Jingyuan’s panicked expression suddenly vanished, replaced by a faint smile. "I can’t hold on anymore. I’ll leave this to you."

"Damn it, Cao Jingyuan! You dare betray us!" Luis instantly realized that Cao Jingyuan wasn’t truly overwhelmed—he was colluding with the two cultivators attacking him.

Just as they were about to reach Luhay and Laith, two members of Blood Butterfly suddenly dashed out, blocking their path.

"Courting death! Get lost!"

Several forces clashed instantly, and the resulting explosion sent people and mechas flying.

Cao Jingyuan glanced at Luhay, who wasn’t far away, a sinister glint flashing in his eyes.

Just as he was about to make his move, the sky suddenly darkened.

Everyone looked up at the suddenly dimmed sky, their pupils reflecting shock and disbelief.

A giant battleship, identical to the Prince of Doomsday’s, loomed above them.

Before its arrival, there had been no sign of its approach, as if it had materialized out of nowhere.

A black hatch opened at the bottom of the warship, and something emerged—dense clusters of them.

Only when they drew closer did the humans realize that they were all alien Cosmorite Mechas, numbering no less than twenty thousand.

"It’s over. Another alien battleship. The Draconis Empire is finished."

Laith recognized the alien battleship and assumed it was reinforcements for the extraterrestrials.

His once-tenacious spirit instantly faltered.

"Why is there another battleship?!" someone screamed in despair.

Compared to the humans’ shock, the Prince of Doomsday—who had recently departed from Planet Teutonia—was equally stunned.

He immediately recognized the newcomer as Aelra’s battleship.

"General Aelra’s battleship has truly fallen into human hands!" Gren’s voice trembled as he turned to the Prince, whose face had darkened considerably. "Your Highness, should we continue?"

"Continue. Inform everyone—once the cultivators inside Aelra’s battleship appear, attack them with full force!" Prince Ceodore refused to believe that, despite recruiting so many cultivators, they would be outmatched.

The newly arrived Cosmorite Mechas charged into battle, their overwhelming numbers surprising the aliens.

Trained and organized, they caught the aliens off guard, instantly eliminating thousands.

"General Herrera, long time no see."

A Cosmorite Mecha approached Luhay, and a familiar voice rang out from within.

Luhay was stunned for a second before he recognized the voice. "It’s you, Major General Rafiq! You’re still alive?!"

Major General Rafiq laughed. "I was fortunate to be saved by a powerful person, and now we’ve come to assist you."

"Rafiq, is that really you?" Laith, now back on his feet, rushed over with excitement, scrutinizing the Cosmorite Mecha. "Is this a real Cosmorite Mecha? And that battleship—what’s going on?"

"It’s a long story. Once this battle is over, I’ll explain everything to you both."

"This war isn’t as simple as you think. Our enemies aren’t just aliens but also cultivators who have sided with them. These people possess terrifying abilities, and the aliens have recruited many of them. Even with your support, this will be difficult." Luhay sighed.

"That may not be the case." Major General Rafiq chuckled, unconcerned.

Behind him, Cao Jingyuan and the two cultivators suddenly lunged forward.

Even if the humans had reinforcements, so what?

They were powerful cultivators—how could a mere Cosmorite Mecha stop them?

Foolishness!

Boom!

The three of them were abruptly sent flying.

Cao Jingyuan and the two cultivators crashed hard, tumbling across the battlefield.

When they finally regained their footing, they looked up in shock at what had struck them.

"A puppet?"

Cao Jingyuan immediately recognized that it wasn’t a mecha built by humans.

The distinction between a mecha and a puppet was obvious—humans simply hadn’t encountered such constructs before and thus didn’t know how to differentiate them.

The three cultivators’ expressions darkened.

They could sense spiritual pressure emanating from the puppet.

Unlike ordinary mechanical constructs, this one possessed cultivation.

"Impossible! Since when could humans create puppets with cultivation?"

Duan Yinghou was the strongest among them, yet to his knowledge, there was no method to refine such a puppet.

If he had known how, he would have done so long ago.

"We attack together! It’s just a puppet!" One of the cultivators scoffed.

They refused to believe a mere beast puppet could pose a real threat.

The only reason they were thrown back was that they hadn’t been prepared.
