Chapter 114: Artifact Refining College
Amalia’s forehead revealed a throbbing vein. This bastard, every time he spoke, it was so infuriating.
’’I’ll try to avoid it as much as possible.’’
Asking for half-dependence on others was already her limit. It only make her felt lile a useless person if he need to fully rely on this man for everything.
She didn’t even want to consider it.
Amalia went in, and closing the door behind her, leaving Kenny Lin outside.
"My dear girlfriend, you’re still too naive," Kenny Lin smirked, highly interested.
With Kenny Lin’s assistance, the dipersing bone fragrance in Amalia’s body was once again suppressed. She tried using spiritual energy and found it to be effective, albeit slower.
However, the dipersing bone fragrance no longer rapidly depleted her cultivation, as it had done previously.
Before this, in a brief period, her cultivation had plummeted from the peak of Intermediate Level Level 5 to the beginner stage of Intermediate Level Level 5.
This was the result of Kenny Lin’s quick intervention.
The horrors of the dipersing bone fragrance were now clearer.
On the day before Heavenly Path University commenced its academic year, Amalia received a response to her transfer application.
What she thought would be an easy task turned out to be a rejection without even following the regular process.
Even someone foolish could sense something was fishy.
Excitedly, Grace bounced over to her brother’s residence. Before even sitting down for a drink, Alex urgently pulled her aside to inquire.
"How’s it going? Did Amalia submit a transfer application?"
"Don’t be so impatient, big brother," Grace spoke, her eyes wandering, and she was unable to hold it in.
"Big brother, you’re truly insightful. Amalia indeed submitted a transfer application. Can you guess which college he wants to transfer to?"
"Besides the Artifact Refining College, where else could it be?" Alex’s expression turned cold, his eyes glinting icily.
"Exactly, she wants to transfer to the Artifact Refining College," Grace said with a gleeful smile.
Alex furrowed his brow, "Didn’t you say you had a way to stop her from transferring?"
"Of course. I not only found out about her wish to transfer but also managed to have her transfer application rejected. Students who want to transfer only have two chances to apply. Once I reject it again, she won’t be able to transfer anymore," Grace said, quite pleased with herself.
"How did you manage to do it?" Alex’s eyes lit up.
"Her biggest mistake was not realizing that Director Gimenez’s nephew is someone who likes me. I just asked him, and he agreed to help me find out," Grace said, reveling in her triumph.
Alex clapped excitedly, ’’Good, my sister is so clever.’’
Director Gimenez belonged to the Literature College. Although his power wasn’t as immense as the dean or vice-dean, he was in charge of processing inter-college transfer applications.
Although Director Gimenez’s nephew knew this was against the rules and he could face punishment if discovered, in pursuit of his affection for Grace, he still agreed to help her.
Amalia received the rejection of her transfer application, which is his handwork. Every year, there was many people who asked for transfer requests, and it was just an email.
Although Director Gimenez’s nephew was anxious, he knew that his uncle was rarely check the emails that he had been processed.
’’Oh, rejected again. One more rejection, and you won’t be able to apply anymore,’’ Kenny Lin lounged lazily on the sofa while crossing his legs.
The notifications on his communicator kept buzzing one after another, yet he didn’t give a glance at them at all.
Unaware, Amalia furrowed her brow, and staring at the email: ’’The email was sent to Director Gimenez. Only he has the password. If it’s not him, it could only be someone close to him.’’
’’What do you plan to do, reapply?’’ Kenny Lin glanced at his own communicator, seemingly disinterested.
’’If i reapplying again, it would still yield the same result," Amalia shook her head.
’’After the rejection of a transfer application, the second attempt is only valid within the five days before the start of classes. Once that window passes, no further applications can be made,’’ Kenny Lin explained authoritatively.
Amalia looked at him, ’’How do you know so much about this? Are you also a student at Heavenly Path University?’’
Kenny Lin sneered, perceiving her comment looked like talking about his age, ’’Don’t I look like one?’’
’’You do seem a bit older,’’ Amalia replied honestly.
Kenny Lin sneered again, ’’My girlfriemd, let me tell you, don’t laugh at someone else when you’re in the same boat.’’
This was getting childish.
Amalia remained unfazed; habit was indeed a scary thing.
Watching Kenny Lin’s expression that seemingly asking her for confrontation, Amalia feeling exasperated, and she decided to let it go.
"Although Kenny Lin didn’t mention it, Amalia could guess he was a senior, and probably around her age.
At Heavenly Path University, the maximum academic term was eight years, with an average duration of about four years on campus.
The remaining years were spent outside doing missions, and Kenny Lin was likely one such student.
’’You haven’t said when you plan to reapply?’’ Kenny Lin nudged her with his foot.
"’I don’t know, maybe I won’t apply again,’’ Amalia replied.
Kenny Lin raised an eyebrow, ’’So, are you planning to stay in the Weaponry Departement?’’
’’No,’? Amalia shook her head.
’’I haven’t made up my mind yet. I still want to learn artifact refining, it’s just not as my major.’’
’’Can you take elective courses at the Weaponry Departement?’’ Kenny Lin tilted his head.
’’Aren’t you a student at Heavenly Path University? How come you don’t know?’’ Amalia glanced at him, seriously doubting. ’’Every freshman can major in one field and take elective courses in another. You decide within the first year; after that, in the second year, you can’t change.’’
There were quite a few students who took elective courses across colleges, like Amulet Masters.
Some would choose to major in the Amulet Drawing College and take a subject in the Martial Arts College. It was also similar for students at the Artifact Refining College.
On the other hamd, those who majored in the Martial Arts College and took courses in the Literature College were far fewer.
When Amalia checked the information the night before, she didn’t overlook this point; it was another option to consider.
