Chapter 1122: Infiltration and Disguise
Kenny Lin immediately withdrew his divine sense from the spaceship.
Using the same method, he reached the battleship’s exterior, then entered through the torn opening with Amalia.
Together, they sealed the entry point.
On the aliens’ radar, the red dot that had disappeared suddenly reappeared.
Its proximity left the aliens monitoring it utterly stunned.
In the command room, nearly every alien stood in shock.
"How has the red dot reappeared? And why is it so close to us?!" The alien commander’s face was filled with disbelief.
The distance was astonishingly close—barely 200 meters away.
To have a spaceship approach within 200 meters without the battleship’s radar detecting it was an utterly inconceivable scenario.
If this was an enemy, the battleship might already have been infiltrated.
"Send Noryn and his team to the location of the spaceship immediately!" the middle-aged commander barked with a grave expression.
"Yes, sir." One of the aliens immediately left the command room to relay the commander’s orders.
Noryn’s wrist communicator lit up with the transmitted command.
He stepped out of his quarters, his sharply defined features exuding a lethal aura.
"Follow me," he said curtly.
The other aliens, radiating the same bloodlust, followed without hesitation.
It was only on their way to the destination that they learned Lorrik’s spaceship had appeared nearby.
"Captain, could it be that Captain Lorrik has returned?" one subordinate speculated.
The tone wasn’t one of hope for Lorrik’s survival.
Even among alien mecha squadrons, competition was fierce.
Still, the idea that humans would dare to take the initiative to attack seemed even more implausible than Lorrik’s survival.
"I don’t know," Noryn replied, not turning his head as he pressed forward.
Along the way, they encountered another squad, led by Captain Xevra, who seemed to have received the same orders.
"So, you got the same message? But let me be clear—the prey is mine," Xevra said, narrowing his long, sly eyes with a malicious smirk.
"I could say the same to you," Noryn retorted coldly, giving Xevra an indifferent glance.
The situation this time seemed more severe than usual.
Although the exact details were unclear, one thing was certain.
Whoever resolved today’s crisis wouldn’t just prove their strength—they would also earn far greater merit than usual.
While the two alien captains were facing off, Amalia and Kenny Lin had already determined their location.
It appeared to be an energy storage room.
If they wanted to take over the alien battleship, destroying its energy sources would be a critical step.
However, neither of them took action immediately.
Killing every alien aboard the battleship would be an enormous undertaking.
As the saying goes, "Cutting off the head of the snake to kill it."
If they could locate and eliminate the commanding officer, the task would become significantly easier.
"There shouldn’t be anyone here," came a voice from outside—clearly an alien.
"It doesn’t matter. If the higher-ups ordered us to check, we’ll check," replied another alien.
"I don’t believe humans have the guts to infiltrate our battleship. And even if they did, it’d be a death sentence for them."
The voices of the two aliens grew closer, and soon a faint light penetrated the darkness of the storage room.
Amalia and Kenny Lin hadn’t expected the aliens to respond so quickly.
Moments after their spaceship appeared, the aliens had already dispatched personnel.
The efficiency almost made them feel grateful.
They had been planning to interrogate an alien about the battleship’s layout, and now the opportunity had delivered itself to them.
As the two aliens stepped inside, their lights banished the darkness into the corners of the room.
"This is the energy room. There’s no way anyone could get in. Take a look and see—"
One alien, speaking as he walked, suddenly locked eyes with Kenny Lin in the room.
Kenny Lin smiled at him and put a finger to his lips, as if signaling to keep quiet.
The alien’s eyes widened as he instinctively opened his mouth to shout, but found himself unable to move or speak.
Desperately, he hoped his companion would sound the alarm, but his eyes soon darted to see that his companion was also frozen in place.
A moment later, his companion’s head exploded abruptly, splattering blood across his face.
One alive, one dead, both were dragged into the shadows.
Half an hour later, two aliens emerged from the energy storage room.
Their physiques, height, and features were identical to those of the two aliens who had entered earlier.
The pair was none other than Amalia and Kenny Lin in disguise.
From an alien’s perspective, the two looked indistinguishable from their original forms.
Even close observation revealed no abnormalities.
However, in their own eyes, Amalia and Kenny Lin could see through the illusions, perceiving each other’s true appearances.
Without betraying their ruse, they walked ahead calmly, soon encountering other aliens.
"How’s the energy room? Everything clear?" one alien asked in a casual tone.
"All clear. Nothing to report," Kenny Lin replied nonchalantly.
The alien didn’t suspect a thing.
In their minds, the idea that humans could impersonate them was inconceivable.
After all, the physical differences between humans and aliens were very different—something no makeup or surgery could overcome, especially not in such a short amount of time.
"I told you there couldn’t be any problems, but the higher-ups insisted we check it. Whatever, let’s take a look. Humans are trash—what can they possibly do?" sneered the alien.
As a low-ranking alien, even he harbored an intense sense of superiority over humans, instinctively considering himself far above them.
"They truly are useless, incapable of even protecting their own home. Worse than garbage," Kenny Lin said with a cheerful laugh.
Amalia gave him a sidelong glance.
His tone was so sincere that even she couldn’t tell whether he was acting or genuinely believed what he was saying.
"Alright, there’s nothing left for us to do here. The higher-ups have already dispatched two Mecha Captains. We’d better clear out. If we bump into them, we’ll only end up in trouble," the alien muttered.
