Chapter 104: Dual Cultivation Technique (Part 2)
She didn’t remain idle either. Since she initiated her parents’ cultivation, she couldn’t let them seek resources themselves.
Amalia took out the amulets on his body, and leaving a portion of advanced, intermediate, and basic level amulets, though still a significant shortage.
Attack-type amulets were meant for self-defense. With Martin Carnales’s support, they shouldn’t encounter much danger, but precautions were still necessary.
Defensive-type and auxiliary-type amulets would probably be in higher demand, yet she didn’t have many of those.
Amalia though about it and realized this would entail significant expenses.
Next to the amulets lay a pile of scrap paper. Initially, she tried her hand at drawing amulets but soon realized she lacked innate talent on drawing amulets, especially when it came to higher-level ones, prompting her to give up.
Her parent ceased their dual cultivation by evening. in order to avoid any awkwardness, Amalia choose to return to her own room.
The next morning, her parent were already awake, and preparing a hot breakfast for her.
"You both look better," Amalia glanced at their faces. In just one night, they appeared several years younger.
Amalia’s mother had a strong mentality; after last night, she could face this scene with calm expression. It was Amalia’s father who suddenly felt a bit shy, his thick skin even showing a hint of blush.
"Dear, that dual cultivation technique you provided is really amazing. It’s been a long time since I’ve felt so good," Amalia’s father’s words were very embarrassing to utter.
Amalia’s mother whose feeling angry and embarrassed, snapped, "If you don’t speak, nobody considers you as a mute. Go away, I need to talk to your daughter."
Amalia’s father shrugged and moved aside. He was noticed a pile of amulet papers on the table. Since he hadn’t seen these before, he curiously examined them.
They were the amulets that Amalia had prepared for them. He remembered his daughter mentioning that these amulets were quite powerful.
Amalia’s father icking up one amulet, and inspected the patterns on it. It looked like a jumble of characters with no apparent order.
"Daughter, where did you get these techniques from?" Amalia’s mother wasn’t like Amalia’s father; after the events of last night, she noticed a significant changes in their bodies.
She vaguely guessing that the cultivation techniques her daughter provided for them weren’t ordinary cultivation technique.
"You don’t need to worry about where they are come from, Mom. After you memorizing the techniques, I’ll collect them again. You can cultivate according to your memory in the future," Amalia shook her head, preferring fewer people to know about the Soltice Ring’s existence.
Seeing her daughter’s reluctance to share, Amalia’s mother didn’t press further, so she changing the subject voluntarily, "I know, it’s quite miraculous. Even my memory seems to have improved significantly. I thought it would take days to memorize, but I remembered everything in just one night."
"Spirit cultivators tend to excel in various aspects compared to ordinary person. However, try not to expose yourself as a spirit cultivator in front of others unless necessary," Amalia advised.
"Don’t worry, I know my limits," Amalia’s mother nodded.
Amalia nodded back, and noticing Amalia’s father who is still tinkering with the amulets. She decided to focus on teaching Amalia’s mother first.
They had already grasped the basics of the dual cultivation technique, but the real challenge lay in practicing spiritual arts, especially for Amalia’s mother’s ice-type spiritual arts.
Ice-type spiritual veins were more advanced, and almost equally balanced between offensive and defensive capabilities, making their cultivation more challenging.
While teaching, Amalia also guided her.
She expecting it to take several explanations before her mother can understood, but Amalia was surprised by her mother’s quick comprehension.
Even if she let her to learn it by herself, it wouldn’t take long time for her to grasp it thoroughly.
When they finished their cultivation and guidance, they didn’t notice there was a pile of discarded amulet papers scattered around lying on the ground.
"Aleem Vanquez!" Amalia’s mother turned around and her expression looled very scary.
Aleem Vanquez was Amalia’s father’s name. It was chosen by her parent, hoping he would become a knowledgeable and far-reaching person in the future.
However, it turned out differently; he became a successful businessman, although now he seemingly reverting to his original shape.
While they were immersed in their cultivation, Amalia’s father scattered Amalia’s amulet papers all over the table.
There were hundreds of amulet papers, and at least a hundred of them were scattered on the floor.
Amalia’s mother voice made Amalia’s father tremble. The cinnabar pen in his hand wavered, and a red light flashed across the amulet papers on the table, then vanished.
Amalia’s mother didn’t notice, but Amalia did.
She picked up one of the amulet papers from the ground, that covered with a chaotic pattern of cinnabar. Upon closer inspection, it turned out to be a copy.
She picking up several more amulet papers to examine. The more she looked at it the more she felt that they were copied. Although they were not perfectly formed, as he progressed, the copies had almost no errors.
Looking at the amulet papers scattered near her father’s feet, some faint traces of nearly imperceptible spiritual energy were contained within it.
This was something an ordinary person who had never touched amulet drawing couldn’t achieve.
If the person drawing the amulets had prior systematic learning, it wouldn’t be surprising. However, it was Amalia’s father.
Amalia was certain—her father had never learned amulet drawing before; he wasn’t even a spiritual cultivator.
"Daughter, what’s wrong?"
After Amalia’s mother scolding Amalia’s father, she turned around and saw Amalia who is motionless while holding the amulet that she was picked up from the ground.
"Did Dad used to be good at copying?" Amalia raised her head, and staring in astonishment at her father’s innocent face.
Thinking her daughter had a different question in mind, Amalia’s mother chuckled, "Of course, despite your father not having much education, he’s quite skilled at copying. Other people used to think that those paintings at home were genuine, but none of them are. Your father copied them all. In his younger days, that’s how he avoided starvation."
Amalia’s father wore a proud expression, "Daughter, do you think your Dad’s amazing?"
