Chapter 1035: Treasure from the Immortal Realm
They proceeded to open the remaining seven boxes one by one. Inside three of the smaller boxes were three scrolls.
Two scrolls contained cultivation methods and mental techniques, both of which had been practiced by immortals in the Immortal Realm. The techniques were of a high level but were ultimately of no use to them.
The mental technique they cultivated had been obtained by their two masters during their own time in the Path of All Immortals, so seeking new techniques wasn’t a priority for them.
The same applied to other sects and factions. Despite not openly discussing it, many had acquired immortal mental techniques during their repeated ventures into the Path of All Immortals.
As for the other scrolls, techniques like Master Lian’s Celestial Blade of Annihilation or Tian Wuya’s Heaven’s Cataclysmic Blade had already been developed by their masters, based on immortal methods. These techniques were not inferior to those of the Immortal Realm.
"This seems to be a blade technique..." Amalia began to unfold one of the scrolls, but Kenny Lin suddenly interrupted her.
"Take a look at this one first. It seems to be related to artifact refining."
Amalia immediately set down the technique scroll and taking the book Kenny Lin handed her. She flipped through a few pages and quickly realized, "It’s indeed an artifact refining manual, but it appears incomplete."
When she reached the end of the book, she noticed that several pages had been torn out, and not just one or two.
"At least half of it is missing."
"So, it’s just a partial artifact refining manual? Is it even usable?"
"I’m not entirely sure. Even if it’s incomplete, it’s still a decent find." Refining divine artifacts had been one of their primary goals in entering the Path of All Immortals.
Amalia stored the artifact manual alongside the other two cultivation scrolls. "We’ll look into it later."
The remaining four large boxes, as they had guessed, were filled with immortal treasures. Although they didn’t find the Phoenix Feathers they were searching for, they discovered several materials for repair Soltice Ring that were even better than the Snow Pine Wood and Jade Fang Stones.
Previously, the reason they sought out those two materials was that they could only be found on the Mystic Void Continent.
The Immortal treasures in the boxes, however, originated from the Immortal Realm. Their quality far exceeded that of Mystic Void Continent resources and were naturally better suited for repairing her Soltice Ring.
"Who would’ve thought? This time, we’ve managed to turn misfortune into a blessing," Amalia remarked with a sigh of relief. The disappointment she had felt from the Soltice Ring being inaccessible now eased a little.
After taking stock of all the boxes, they realized this venture had yielded quite a substantial haul. The only thing missing was even a single medicinal pill, though that was unsurprising. Given how much time had passed, any pills that might have been left would have long lost their potency.
"These divine artifacts are for you. Do whatever you want with them." Kenny Lin emptied all the divine artifacts onto the ground with a clatter.
The number of artifacts was greater than what he had previously taken out on Master Lian’s flying boat—over twenty in total.
"We can’t possibly use this many divine artifacts," Amalia mused aloud. "Are you sure you want me to decide what to do with them?"
"Why else would I gather so many artifacts if I wasn’t going to let you decide?" Kenny Lin replied, frowning.
Amalia chuckled. "No wonder I thought these artifacts seemed oddly paired—it’s not your style."
Half of the divine artifacts were weapons, while the other half were defensive items, not all of which were shields.
"All right, here’s what we’ll do. Of the thirteen weapons, we’ll keep six for ourselves. For the defensive divine artifacts, we’ll keep two-thirds. We’ll prioritize what we might need in the future, and the rest will go to the sect. How does that sound?" she proposed.
"I already said it’s up to you. Don’t bother me with such trivial matters," Kenny Lin replied impatiently.
"Fine, then it’s decided." Amalia carefully selected the items they would keep, then packed the rest into a storage pouch.
That same afternoon, they entrusted the storage pouch filled with divine artifacts to a disciple from the main peak, instructing them to deliver it to the Sixth Elder and the others on their behalf.
The disciple tasked by Amalia swiftly delivered the storage pouch to the Main Peak’s elders and was soon summoned to meet them.
Following Amalia’s instructions, the disciple announced her name upon arrival at the Main Peak. As expected, he was granted an audience almost immediately.
Led by a rarely-seen elder, he crossed a vast area and entered a courtyard that most ordinary disciples could only dream of setting foot in during their lifetime.
"Disciple greets the Great Elder and the esteemed elders," he said nervously, bowing deeply upon seeing a white-haired elder with a youthful countenance smiling kindly at him.
"No need to be so tense. Amalia sent you here for what purpose?" The Great Elder raised a hand gently.
The disciple suddenly felt an invisible force lift him from his knees.
Snapping out of his daze, he quickly retrieved the storage pouch given to him by Amalia. "This was entrusted to me by Martial Aunt for the Great Elder. Since the Sect Leader is in seclusion, she instructed me to deliver it to you for safekeeping."
The Great Elder accepted the storage pouch and noticed a seal placed upon it.
To him, the seal was practically insignificant. With a mere flick of his finger, the seal dissolved.
Sweeping his divine sense through the pouch’s contents, he paused momentarily before turning a knowing gaze toward the disciple.
"Did Amalia say anything else besides this? Why did she ask you, specifically, to deliver it?"
The disciple answered honestly, "Perhaps it’s because I happened to be passing by the Nameless Peak. Martial Aunt called me over and handed this to me without saying much else."
