Chapter 1015: The Final Stand

"What kind of artifact is that? It’s so precise!" Renshu Chang asked, intrigued.

Kenny Lin snorted. "It’s just a watch. Haven’t you ever seen one before?"

Amalia tucked the watch away. "Enough about that. While there are a little over ten minutes left, we’ll likely be teleported out soon, leaving us with seven or eight minutes tops. These Body Integration Stage wandering spirit won’t need even a minute to kill us."

"Can’t this Immortal Spring hold out just a bit longer?" a few disciples murmured anxiously.

"Highly unlikely," Amalia replied. "To survive the remaining time, we need to work together and come up with a concrete plan."

"I’ll inform the other sects," Jirandai Tang volunteered, heading off to explain the situation to Dayeon Xinyue, Temujin Lei, and others.

"Do you really think they’ll cooperate?" Kenny Lin smirked skeptically.

"Unless they want to die," Amalia said coldly.

Indeed, Temujin Lei and the others had no intention of dying. They quickly agreed to Jirandai Tang’s proposal without much hesitation. Representatives from the various sects and factions soon gathered in one place.

"I have one question," Seonho Ming said with a mocking smile. "How can you be so sure the Path of All Immortals will close in exactly ten minutes? What if you’re lying to us? We’d die for nothing."

These people wouldn’t hesitate to kill them, so why would they now act so kindheartedly?

"The lives of just Amalia and me from the Green Lotus Sect are more valuable than your entire sect combined," Kenny Lin said with a smirk. "And that’s not even counting the others here. Besides, aren’t your legs functional? If danger comes, can’t you run on your own?"

"You—!" Seonho Ming bristled with anger.

"What ’you’?" Kenny Lin’s voice turned icy. "You couldn’t defeat me outside the Path of All Immortals, let alone now. Crushing you would be as effortless as squashing an ant. Do you really think I’d bother with such a convoluted scheme to trap an ant? Are you trying to amuse me? Do I look like that kind of person?"

"Pfft." Seongwoo Jin and Jinhwa Hou couldn’t help but burst out laughing.

Amalia shot a sidelong glance. His casual bluffing was impressive—he hadn’t been this confident when strategizing earlier.

"Enough jokes," she said. "Let’s focus. I have a plan."

"Time is running out, so I’ll keep this brief," Amalia said, her tone firm. "I have a formation that might hold off the wandering spirit for a short while, but it will require everyone’s full cooperation."

"Remember, it’s not enough to just contribute a bit of spiritual power. I need your full effort. If any link fails, the entire formation will collapse. Those unwilling to commit can back out now, but if you choose to withdraw, your life and death will no longer concern us. For those who agree, I need complete focus. I don’t want personal grievances jeopardizing the entire plan. I’m sure no one here wants to become an enemy to every sect. You have five breaths to decide."

Amalia delivered her instructions swiftly and with authority.

"I have no objections," Dayeon Xinyue responded without hesitation.

"Neither do I," Myung Tao and Yunse Qiao said simultaneously.

Dongjian Zhao also agreed without delay. Despite his ongoing feud with Kenny Lin, he knew survival took precedence over personal vendettas. Grudges could wait until they left the Path of Ten Thousand Immortals.

The only ones left to decide were the Eternal One Sect. All eyes turned to them with pointed stares.

"What? Do you think I, Temujin Lei, am someone who disregards the bigger picture?" Temujin Lei said, laughing bitterly under the weight of their collective gaze.

"Hard to say," Seongwoo Jin muttered, smirking. "Not long ago, someone here was full of doubts."

"You—!" Seonho Ming’s face darkened in anger, the comment clearly directed at him.

"Enough. I need a straight answer," Amalia interjected, cutting him off.

"The Eternal One Sect has no objections," Temujin Lei said at last, gritting his teeth as he forced the words out.

Amalia glanced at him, her expression unreadable. How narrow-minded, she thought. "I’ll now transmit specific instructions to each of you telepathically. Don’t resist."

Rather than explaining the formation in front of everyone, Amalia opted for discretion. The formation she planned to use was a simplified version of the Heavenfall Annihilation Formation, a secret technique of the Green Lotus Sect. Even in its basic form, it wasn’t something to share carelessly.

By assigning each person only a part of the formation, Amalia ensured that even if they tried to piece it together later, they wouldn’t be able to reconstruct the full technique.

Most of the critical tasks were entrusted to those Amalia deemed reliable. As for people like Temujin Lei, they received only peripheral roles, minimizing their impact.

"Prepare yourselves," she instructed. "This is a moment for all sects to unite."

The Immortal Spring began to tremble more violently. The surrounding mountains started to fade, and the once-visible birds had long since disappeared. Even the spring beneath them was rapidly drying up, its waters vanishing into nothingness.

"I’ll serve as the core of the formation. I know how it works, and my spiritual power is stronger than yours," Kenny Lin declared with determination.

Amalia studied him for a moment. "You’ll stay in the outer circle to observe the situation. If something changes, you’ll have the best vantage point to react. The Eternal One Sect may have agreed, but they’re still the most likely to cause trouble. We need to remain vigilant."

"Fine. Be careful," Kenny Lin relented.

Amalia nodded, not because she was entirely convinced by his reasoning, but because she knew he carried the Yin-Yang Pearl, a treasure that ensured he wouldn’t be in mortal danger.

As soon as Amalia’s voice fell, the Immortal Spring let out a deep hum, resonating with a long, echoing sound.

"Everyone, be on your guard!" Jirandai Tang shouted, but before he could finish, his vision went dark.

When the light returned, they found themselves standing on the plaza.
