Chapter 1002: Heavenly Hall and Earthly Hall (Part 5)

As the powerful wandering spirits in the Earthly Hall began discussing how to break through the barrier of the Heavenly Hall, the cultivators within the Heavenly Hall waited for the opening of the Immortal Spring.

However, none of them knew where exactly the Immortal Spring was. When they asked Kenny Lin, he claimed he didn’t know either.

"Should we send someone to search for it? We have plenty of people, and it doesn’t hurt to try even if we don’t find anything," Seongwoo Jin suggested.

"That’s a good idea. Who should go?" Jirandal Tang glanced at Taeseon Lei, but before he could speak, Seongwoo Jin volunteered enthusiastically.

"I’ll go! And let Junior Sister Ling come with me—she’s meticulous and pays attention to details."

Jirandal Tang eyed him suspiciously. When he heard that the Divine Maiden Sect had also decided to send someone to investigate, he immediately turned to Taeseon Lei. "Taeseon Lei, I’ll leave the task of finding the Immortal Spring to you and Junior Sister Ling."

"Understood," Taeseon Lei nodded.

Eunbyeol Ling had no objections either.

Both of them were at the peak of Soul Formation stage, and nothing within the Heavenly Hall could pose a threat to them. Otherwise, they wouldn’t have waited this long.

Amalia handed the spirit orbs of the Deity Transformation stage spirits she had previously slain to Kenny Lin. "Absorb them all and see if you can completely restore the Yin-Yang Pearl."

"What if it doesn’t work? Wouldn’t that be a waste?" Kenny Lin asked with a smirk as he held the spirit orbs.

"Even if the Yin-Yang Pearl can’t be fully restored, saturating it also benefits you. If you can achieve perfection in your cultivation, our odds against a Body Integration stage spirit should be much higher."

Amalia didn’t see it as a waste. She had a gut feeling that a fully restored Yin-Yang Pearl would possess extraordinary power. She wasn’t entirely clear about its origins or its full purpose—neither had the elders at the base been forthcoming with answers.

"You always have a way of convincing me," Kenny Lin replied with a sly grin.

If the situation had been different, Amalia might have smacked the back of his head right then and there.

"Martial uncle, what does ’convincing’ mean?" Renshu Chang, who had overheard the conversation, asked curiously.

"Nothing important," Kenny Lin quickly adjusted his expression, his grin vanishing.

"Ignore him," Amalia muttered, casting a warning glare at Kenny Lin as if reminding him of the gravity of the situation.

Kenny Lin sat cross-legged with a handful of Deity Transformation stage spirit orbs in his palms, beginning the absorption process.

The others also sat down to meditate, guarding the door between the Heavenly Hall and the Earthly Hall. It wasn’t an urgent situation, and they could afford to take their time.

Two days passed quickly as they cultivated in silence.

During this time, those sent to search for the Immortal Spring returned, reporting that they hadn’t found anything.

"Two days have passed, so why hasn’t the Immortal Spring appeared yet?" someone asked impatiently.

"And the wandering spirits haven’t attacked the Heavenly Hall. Could it be that we were wrong all along?"

"It’s not impossible," another person chimed in, casting a glance at Kenny Lin. "After all, everything we’ve discussed has been based on speculation. We don’t have any concrete evidence."

"If you think we got it wrong, you’re welcome to walk through that door right now. We certainly won’t stop you," Dayeon Xinyue said coldly.

At the sight of her, the anger in the crowd subsided slightly.

"Dayeon Xinyue, aren’t you anxious at all?"

"If anxiety could bring the Immortal Spring out faster, then sure, I’d be anxious," she replied with a faint glance at them, then closed her eyes again to rest.

Seeing this, the group fell silent. No one dared to actually step through the door.

Two days had passed, and not a single wandering spirit had entered. Clearly, something was amiss. Only a fool would venture through.

Suddenly, the entire Heavenly Hall trembled.

Those meditating in the corners immediately stood, their eyes wide with surprise.

The initial tremor seemed to be just the beginning. As time passed, the shaking became increasingly violent.

"Have you noticed? The spiritual energy in the Heavenly Hall seems to be growing denser," Yunse Qiao suddenly remarked.

"I thought it was just me imagining things," Chohwan Jin responded.

"I feel it too," Jin woo Zhang added.

Exchanging glances, everyone exclaimed in unison, "It’s the Immortal Spring!"

Without hesitation, members of all the sects and factions rushed out of the hall, sprinting toward the direction of the dense spiritual energy.

At this point, no one cared about the two doors anymore; their sole focus was on the Immortal Spring.

"Taeseon Lei, Junior Sister Ling, Sechang Dai... You all come with me to check it out. Jinhwa Hou, stay here with a few junior brothers," Jirandal Tang ordered decisively, glancing at Kenny Lin and Amalia, who were still meditating and had not been awakened by the commotion.

"I’m coming too!" Seongwoo Jin quickly interjected.

"You and Jinhwa Hou stay here and remain alert for unexpected situations. If any wandering spirits break through, you’ll be our backup," Jirandal Tang replied, leading the chosen group out.

"Fine, leaving me behind again," Seongwoo Jin muttered, shrugging. "So unfair."

"The Immortal Spring isn’t going anywhere. Besides, staying back doesn’t mean you can’t have fun," Jinhwa Hou said with a knowing smile.

Seongwoo Jin instinctively glanced at Kenny Lin and Amalia before transmitting his thoughts to Jinhwa Hou. You’re not talking about those two martial uncle and martial aunt, are you?

"Seongwoo Jin, aren’t you supposed to be sharp? What happened?" Jinhwa Hou teased.

"It’s been a few days, and now you think you’re invincible?" Seongwoo Jin rolled his eyes.

"If the Immortal Spring truly holds the method for ascension, that’s only a matter of time," Jinhwa Hou replied with supreme confidence, brushing back a strand of hair behind his ear.

Amalia opened her eyes. After absorbing a few deity transformation stage orbs, her cultivation, though not having broken through, had become even more solidified than before.

Kenny Lin almost woke up the moment she opened her eyes.
