After Little Bai swam away for a bit, it cautiously climbed a tree and, making sure Chen Ying's entire attention was on the flock of birds, it came down from the tree and rapidly slithered through the grass towards the Green Peacock.

The male was still looking around, not expecting danger to be hurdling towards it.

Little Bai moved swiftly like a streak of white lightning, charging at the male peacock.

It didn't intend to kill the Green Peacock but quickly wrapped itself around its neck, biting down on the crown feathers on its head.

The Green Peacock, found to its shock that there was a snake on its body, instinctively spread its wings and hopped, jumping down the mountainside.

Peacocks can't fly, but they're good at gliding.

There's an ethereal beauty when they flutter and glide through the air.

It's said that a park in Dian Province has a fixed program of peacock flying every day, where tourists have to arrive very early to secure a spot to capture satisfactory photos.
