The next morning, as the leader of the Bug Swarm, Lu Xiang started making final preparations for the business trip. When she had been assigned to Zone Seventeen, she had never thought that one day, as a head of Law Enforcers, she would worry about the source of infection in the Third Nation.

However, considering that the potential target was the Devourer, this trip included the meaning of an exchange between different Bug Swarms.

In order to better understand the language of the wild Bug Swarm, they had found a domesticated Devourer early in the morning, allowing it to split off a part to serve as a translator, which attached itself to the armored floating car she had dispatched and merged with the integrated AI of the floating car.

With the floating car, their travel became much more convenient.

At least they didn’t have to travel through desert regions slowly by bus like last time.

"We need to keep as low a profile as possible," Lu Xiang said as the floating car set off, flipping through the intelligence she had gathered early in the morning. "The Third Nation is home to the Barrosa Group, and even though it is some distance away from the area where Doctor Oleg disappeared, it’s still better to be cautious."

Considering that during the last business trip, Song Lan had destroyed a division of the Barrosa Group, their relations with the Barrosa Group were likely hostile.

"No wonder," Song Lan said upon hearing about the Barrosa Group. He realized it was an organization that ostensibly dealt in arms trade but was secretly conducting genetic weapon research. Judging from the infection level of the division, they had probably been working on the Devourer for some time.

"The structure of the Third Nation’s outskirts is rather loose, consisting of villages and small towns. There are only three places that can be considered large cities. Only when the floating car approached the designated area did Song Lan realize that the harsh climate Lu Xiang had mentioned was different from what he had imagined.

Sand baths were a specialty of the desert region stations, and Song Lan wondered if the Third Nation might also have created recreational activities like radiation baths.

"There’s radiation outside, put on your exoskeleton armor before getting off,"

Lu Xiang reminded him, considering the harsh environment of the Twelfth Nation, she had requested two additional exoskeleton armors. According to the specifications, Teslar technology had produced this model of exoskeleton armor, which included a combat system for harsh climates and radiation protection, "Radiation is harmful to the body. During the following actions, you’ll need to move in the exoskeleton armor, and after entering, don’t forget to activate the vocal communication system."

"Received."

Song Lan gestured an OK sign.

A few minutes later, the two wearing the exoskeletons approached the figure.
