Chapter 99: Chapter 99: Nymph Union Grows!

Now, having your own humans does come with certain complications. For starters, well, those humans had been yelling about rights just a couple of weeks ago.

And after they had gotten the women backing, they had calmed down, yes, but...

The golems had been infected with free will!

I repeat, for all those who had missed the urgency of the situation the first time:

The golems are now demanding rights, with signs made by the humans because as much as said humans liked the idea of getting a fertility clinic, they also wanted for the golems to have free will!

Well...

I was willing to give them their rights. But not on their terms! They wanted me to...

"And we want four battles per day!" A golem yelled, as he flung a stone at my tree.

He did not!

I burst out of my dungeon, my hair a mess of curls, my neck littered with hickeys!

You might imagine how I had been coping with the stress. Titan didn’t want me to worry.

But the thing was, that he wanted to kill all of the golems off. And that was not something I could just let happen!

They were my babies!

"Honey," Titan was behind me, looking freshly showered and unbothered. "Go back inside."

I heard as he took out a dagger, whirling it in the air so, as if it were a toy!

"NO!" I yelled because some things had to be yelled in capital letters! "They are getting their rights! In fact, I am making them citizens of Solaria!"

And may God have mercy on their souls.

"And since they are new citizens," an Archdemon was coming. A woman named Mary, who had taken great inspiration from a Queen named Mary, who liked to kill for religious reasons, apparently. "They are going to the army!"

"Long live Sylvan!"

That yell, which the golems were chanting, was not what I had expected. It was bad enough that I had given off Mordred and Morty to the army.

Or that Pan was now Solas’ personal guard, for all that the man didn’t need him to be.

But what I couldn’t understand was why did my lovely children, the golems, who had been making compost all that time, wanted to go into the bloody business of murdering things.

"For the glory and the fall!" A golem yelled, rising his fist to the sky. "For the Nymph Union! For the Misfits!"

I snorted. Now, I wouldn’t say that my union was full of misfits, per se.

But it was a close thing.

"Sure, sure," I said, as I summoned a random general from the army.

The man in question looked old enough to be giving sage advice to young transmigrators.

But still, he smiled a vicious smile when he saw my golems.

"Make more," the general demanded, as he handed a sword to Titan. A wicket thing I was certain had passed through more than one battle.

The general looked up at the sky. At the green something which I was certain was an army just waiting to come to us, and tear us a new one.

"For the glory and the fall," the general said, as he listened in on what the golems were chanting. He hit himself on the chest.

The golems stopped chanting. He smiled down on them.

I knew, as the crowd became as still as a grave, that nothing was going to be the same.

"For the glory! Yes! For the Blood and Mud! For the Guts on the Grass!" Those were old words. Words which I was certain Solas had forbidden from being said.

"But never the fall, you fools! We are not going to fall!" He made a pause, as the golems stared at him with big eyes.

There he was, this old titan.

One who was not preparing to die. Someone who was going to give all he had and then his last drop of soul mana to add to that.

"For the Fire in the Blood!"

He was binding them to himself. That was no random general, I knew then.

That was a Summoner! A transmigrator who had managed to get to keep his life under Solas’ rule!

But, how?

"Join me, and you will taste glory! You will know the joy of protecting!" The general was whipping them into a frenzy!

I made a step to hide behind Titan, who was already using the new sword he had gotten as a shield.

He was terrified. I could feel it through our bond.

I heard footsteps running. Aron was coming this way. His mana whipped behind him like a storm cloud.

The very picture of the perfect boss mob. The final one.

Where were Nate, Desmond and Nick? Where was Amdis?

My heart clenched. If something had happened to them. If...

"Peace, Nymph," the General was looking at me. Using the mana of the golems to appear younger. "They will come home."

Before me, a gorgeous redhead appeared. A man who might look like Desmond but had a sharp edge to him.

A man who had linked his mana pool to my mana skill!

How?

Darn... was I getting married again?

"Are you ready for war?"

Was the thief trying to whip me into a frenzy? The nerve!

I took off my boot and threw it at him!

He dodged, letting my boot sail to the golems. One of them caught it and took a step towards us.

There was an emptiness there, where once was something that was intelligent enough to ask for rights.

"Peace, Sweetling," the general said, making his way towards me. "Peace, and nothing will happen to you."

"Solas will know what you are!" Because that thief was not strong enough to go up against Solas, I was certain.

"Solas? The king?" The general chuckled. The chuckle was soft as the inside of a marshmallow. I was still a bit muddled from what I had been doing back when the golems had interrupted.

I couldn’t help but notice those thick arms. Or those long legs.

He smirked at me.

"Peace, Love," he made another step towards me. "You are my final quest."

And the general left, leaving me only a bouquet of flowers.

"From Maximilian to Sylvan. I will be back to claim your heart."

"No!" Titan yelled.

"No!" I yelled as well, throwing the bouquet out of the Forest of Forget-Me-Nots!
