Chapter 62: 044 Truly Sinful (First Update)_3
In the past few days, every time he thought about the events of that day, He Qian would be consumed with rage.
He had asked a friend in Spring City to help investigate, starting with Qi Baotan, who seemed to have some connection to that young woman.
"Other Shore Entertainment? You’re saying Qi Baotan signed with Other Shore Entertainment? What kind of company is that? Why have I never heard of it?"
The person replied, "It’s a newly registered entertainment company. The owner is Zhao Heng, a recent graduate from a media university. As for any background, nothing has been uncovered so far."
"Do you think Qi Baotan dared to report Cai Xiang because this company is backing her?"
He Qian thought about it and decided it wasn’t possible.
This company had no connections or credentials in the industry. Its owner was merely a recent graduate—how could they dare go up against someone like Cai Xiang, who’d been in the business for decades?
It was impossible, even with zero effort in speculating.
"This company definitely doesn’t have that kind of capability. The key lies with the lawyer Helian Yi. He’s Zhao Heng’s senior, and the two seem to have a good relationship. Helian Yi’s law firm is handling the legal affairs for Other Shore Entertainment. If you ask me, it’s probably just a coincidence—Cai Xiang happened to run into Helian Yi’s expertise at the wrong time."
"What’s the deal with this Helian Yi?"
"Tsk, now that’s someone with a substantial reputation. Let’s just say he’s way beyond someone you or I could provoke. If you can’t befriend him, you better make sure you don’t end up as his enemy."
He Qian guessed the young woman might work for Other Shore Entertainment.
Since his work in Spring City was already finished, it wasn’t convenient to linger any longer. He’d decided to remember this grudge for now.
He Qian took a flight back to Jingzhou overnight, and as soon as he landed, he headed straight to the company.
"Mr. He, Shuangshuang injured her hand and wants to pause filming to return to Jingzhou for hospitalization."
"She injured her hand, not her entire body. Why would she need hospitalization? She keeps causing trouble for me every other day. I’ve said God knows how many good things to the director just to convince him to keep her, and now what does she do? Create drama every day! You tell her this for me: if she really doesn’t want to film, then she can quit for good and never act again! She’d better drag herself back here fast."
The assistant wasn’t sure why Mr. He was so furious. Normally he doted on Ye Shuangshuang the most but dared not stir up any trouble and immediately hung up the phone.
He Qian’s head throbbed with pain. None of the artists under his management ever seemed to be hassle-free.
During his absence, the company had piled up a stack of papers waiting to be signed. He Qian signed each document while simultaneously holding a phone meeting.
As the meeting was about to finish, the assistant reminded He Qian of his schedule for the day.
"Lunch with President Ding of Eternal Century, venue at Wangyue Garden."
As the entertainment industry flourished, idol culture had emerged as a rapidly rising trend. He Qian realized that this was an industry with tremendous potential, and Eternal Century had been pioneering the idol industry, staying ahead of the curve.
Because of this, He Qian planned to collaborate with Eternal Century to jointly expand the idol industry.
As dawn broke, He Qian rested on the sofa for a brief nap.
Until a knock on the door woke him up.
"Mr. He, the bodyguard candidate is waiting for you in the guest room," the assistant’s voice came from outside the door.
He Qian almost forgot about this matter.
He Qian got up, switched on the guest room surveillance camera. A tall man was sitting on the sofa in the guest room. The assistant placed a cup of coffee in front of him before leaving.
From the start until now, the man hadn’t touched the coffee. He sat upright, exuding steadiness.
As time dragged on, the man maintained the same posture, the image almost motionless.
Suddenly, the man turned his head, his cold, piercing gaze directly meeting the camera. That look seemed to penetrate the electronic equipment, reaching deep into the soul in an instant.
He Qian collapsed into his chair, his back drenched in sweat.
What an astonishing sense of perception.
Soon, a satisfied smile curled up at the corner of He Qian’s lips.
This was exactly the personal security he was looking for.

"Aning, I really envy you for being able to accompany Sister Ding to meet clients."
Inside the practice room, a teenager silently pressed his long legs downward.
He was surrounded by four other boys; one of them, a baby-faced boy, spoke with visible jealousy.
Rong Xianning replied indifferently, "You can take my place."
The boy was delighted for a moment before lowering his head in disappointment. "Sister Ding wouldn’t agree. You’re her favorite, after all."
The tone carried a sour undertone.
Rong Xianning’s eyes lacked any warmth, and if one looked carefully, they could notice a faint trace of deeply concealed mockery.
"Aning, what are you still doing here? President Ding is looking all over for you," someone called out from the door.
Rong Xianning uncurled his legs, bent down to pick up the jacket on the floor, and walked out.
"Aning looks good, has a great aura, and dances the best. He’s bound to debut successfully, right?"
"It’s just that face seducing Sister Ding everywhere, like she treats him as her little prized possession." The tone dripped with disdain.
