Disguised As A Boy To Attend Belmont High School
Chapter 82: The Search Begins II

Chapter 82: The Search Begins II

"I have something important to discuss with Mr. Philip. You guys go and prepare," Lucas said firmly. The others nodded, grasping his purpose.

He exited the assembly hall, leaving Olive, Mark, and Aiden behind.

Lucas soon reached the principal’s office, heaved a heavy sigh before knocking on the door.

"Come in," Mr. Philip’s voice called from inside. Lucas opened the door and entered.

"Hey Lucas, please take a seat," Mr. Philip greeted warmly as Lucas settled into the chair across from him.

"Do you have any information about Henry? I’m willing to listen as it would help in locating him promptly," Mr. Philip asked, his voice tinged with feigned concern.

Lucas let out a scoff, unnoticed by Mr. Philip who was preoccupied with organizing files on his desk. "What if I told you that I’ve already taken care of Henry?"

Mr. Philip looked up abruptly, his eyes widening in shock as he gazed at Lucas. "What did you say? What do you mean you mean you’ve taken care of Henry?"

"I’ve already dealt with Henry," Lucas replied coldly, a smirk playing on his lips. "He was associated with the person who killed my sister and it’s only right I kill him too.

Mr. Philip’s eyes widened in horror as Lucas’s words hung in the air. He felt like he’d been punched in the gut, his breath knocked out of him. He tried to speak, but his voice caught in his throat. He cleared it, attempting to composed himself, but his face still betrayed his shock.

"You...you can’t be serious," Mr. Philip stammered, his eyes darting around the room as if searching for an escape from the truth. "You’re just a student, Lucas. What could you possibly...?"

His mind trailed off and his face turned pale, his lips trembling with a mix of fear and anger. He gripped the edge of his desk, his knuckles white with tension.

Mr. Philip soon calmed himself down and let out a heavy sigh, his expression still one of disbelief as he looked at the young man before him. "That still doesn’t justify taking his life. So, all your actions, like dismantling the 3RM system and forgiving scholarship students, were just a facade."

"Of course it does Mr. Philip." Lucas responded almost immediately, saying that everything was just an act. "How could those lowlifes believe that he would spare them and cancel the red card system? That’s impossible!"

Mr. Philip placed his hand on his forehead, massaging it to relieve his frustration. "You’re so cunning. How did you kill him though?"

"I burnt him down in a house," Lucas replied. "Once the police officers get to the location, they’ll only find his burnt body. Besides, that idiot said he has a secret about you and gave me his phone to listen to a voice note. The fact that he badmouthed you and Samson actually made me kill him. I couldn’t control my anger."

"Burnt him down? And my secret? What secret?" Mr. Philip questioned, his eyes widening in shock mixed with fear. "W..wh..where is the phone?" he stammered.

"You don’t have to worry, Mr. Philip. I came to you for help. I don’t want the police to find out that I killed Henry. Your son was helped by my mother, and now it’s your turn to help me." Lucas said, his expression determined.

"Just tell me where Henry’s phone is first. We can discuss other matters later, and I promise to keep your secret." Mr. Philip assured, his fear and worry evident on his face.

"Can we forget about the phone for now? Your actions are making it seem like Henry was right about you. He claimed you kidnapped him and recorded your conversation. He said I would be devastated when I found out." Lucas raised a suspicious eyebrow.

"He’s just trying to cause trouble, Lucas. You know those types of people will do anything. He’s trying to create conflict because Samson escaped from prison." Mr. Philip replied nervously.

"Anyways, I still want to listen to the voice note, so I won’t give you his phone. And as I said, you need to help me keep this secret. Stand by me so the police won’t have anything on me. I find it annoying that I didn’t kill Desmond with my bare hands hence I killed Henry." Lucas voiced, his gaze fixed on Mr Philip whose fear was visible on his face.

"You better help, or the world will know that your son isn’t in prison but has been taken out of the country." Lucas continued as he stood up from the chair. "Good day!" He added before storming out of the office and slamming the door behind him with a loud bang.

Mr. Philip slumped back in his chair, his face pale and sweaty. He couldn’t believe the shocking revelation Lucas had just made. The boy had committed the murder of Henry and now he wants him to keep it a secret and help him. Mr. Philip’s mind raced to his son, Samson, who had narrowly escaped prison. He had thought they were in the clear, but now...

Gathering his composure, he reached for the phone on his desk, his hands trembling slightly as he dialed a number.

"Hello?" a voice answered.

"It’s me," Mr. Philip said, trying to maintain a steady tone. "We have a serious issue. Lucas has killed Henry so there’s no need to search for Henry again. But he also has incriminating evidence against me. He has Henry’s phone which has my secret with him and I must retrieve it."

There was a brief silence on the other end of the line.

"What are your orders, boss?" the voice inquired.

"What do you think?" Mr. Philip responded, his voice tinged with frustration. "I need you to take care of Lucas. Bring him to me. We can’t risk him jeopardizing everything we’ve built."

"Okay, stay calm," the voice reassured. "I’ll handle it. "

He ended the call, feeling a wave of relief wash over him. He was prepared to do whatever was necessary to protect his son and his secrets, even if it meant resorting to extreme measures like eliminating Lucas.

As soon as Lucas emerged from the principal’s office, he headed to the 3RM special room where Mark, Aiden, and Olive were waiting for him.

"How did it go?" Mark inquired eagerly as Lucas took a seat.

A sly grin spread across Lucas’s face. "It’s taken care of! Mr. Philip won’t sit idly by now that he knows Henry’s phone, which holds his secret, is in my possession. He’ll stop at nothing to protect his secret and his son."

"What a monster!" Olive exclaimed through gritted teeth.

"I’m not sure what Mr. Philip might do, but we need to stay vigilant," Lucas warned, his tone grave as the group nodded in agreement.

Ping!

Lucas glanced at his phone and saw a text message from his older sister, Clara.

Please come home. It’s urgent as it’s a matter of life and death.

"Is this some kind of joke?" Lucas muttered to himself as he tried dialing Clara’s line, only to find her phone switched off. "What the heck?"

"What’s going on?" Mark inquired, his expression reflecting concern, joined by Olive and Aiden’s curious gazes.

"It’s Clara. She said it’s urgent, a matter of life and death. But when I tried calling her, her phone was off," Lucas explained, a furrow forming on his brow.

Olive raised an eyebrow "Who’s Clara?"

"She’s Lucas elder sister. She’s back to the country." Aiden replied with a heavy sigh.

"I have no other option but to leave. I’ll join you all shortly. Just make sure to keep an eye on Mr. Philip," Lucas said with a serious tone.

"But you’re crucial to the success of this plan," Aiden added.

"I’ll return before you reach the house where we burnt down. So the plan remains intact," Lucas reassured as the group nodded in agreement. "Mark, I’ll contact you once I reach the George mansion. If I don’t, then something is wrong. Mr. Philip may have proceeded with his plan."

"How will we find you then?" Olive asked, her voice filled with concern.

"I’ll activate my location," Lucas replied, turning on his location on his phone immediately. He then took a deep breath, looking at the group before him. "We can’t solely rely on the location, though. It could be turned off or I might lose my phone. This is where your intelligence comes into play. And I’ll buy time until you bring the police to my location."

"You need to stay alert. I might be kidnapped on my way, who knows? But despite kidnapping me, he still needs to be present at school as he is the principal. Lucas explained, and the group nodded in agreement.

(Students should gather at the assembly hall as the search begins now!)

The electronic sound echoed through the school, prompting the group to stand up and leave the 3RM.

As they exited the 3RM, they joined the crowd of students streaming out of their classrooms and congregating in the hallways. The search for Henry was about to commence, and everyone was eager to begin.

"Let’s go!" Mark said excitedly, taking the lead as they headed towards the assembly hall.

As they walked, Lucas couldn’t help but feel like Mr. Philip’s eyes were on him. He looked around, but everything seemed normal.

"Alright, see you guys later," Lucas said with a smile before walking his way out of the school building . He had a strange sensation but couldn’t quite pinpoint the cause, yet he was ready for whatever was to come.

The group of three reached the assembly hall , where teachers and police officers were organizing the students into search teams based on their preferences.

"Listen up!" one of the teachers yelled. "We’re going to search the entire school grounds, including the woods and surrounding areas. Stay in your teams and report anything suspicious to the authorities right away!"

The teams split up, each heading to their designated search area. Mark, Aiden, and Olive stayed together, exploring the woods behind the school.

As they ventured further into the woods, the only sounds were the rustling of leaves and the snapping of twigs beneath their feet.
