Disguised As A Boy To Attend Belmont High School
Chapter 52: Rescue and Refuge.

Chapter 52: Rescue and Refuge.

Mark stood at the entrance of the cave, his eyes burning with anger, his nostrils flaring, and his fists clenched tightly. He then approached Samson, who remarked, "Look who it is, Mark!" and placed a hand on Mark’s shoulder, only to have it shrugged off.

"Let him go!" Mark demanded, his expression serious as he stared at Samson.

"Why should I? He already got a red card, so I can do whatever I want to him," Samson retorted, a fierce look in his eyes.

"I called the police on my way here. They’ll be here soon. You can either continue bullying Arthur and get arrested, or you can release him now and leave before the police arrive," Mark threatened, a smirk playing on his lips.

Samson hesitated at Mark’s words. He hadn’t anticipated Mark’s arrival, let alone the involvement of the police.

"You’ll be arrested for kidnapping and alleged rape," Mark continued, a smirk growing on his face. "Mr. Philip’s heart will be broken when he finds out his son has been arrested. The Philip family’s reputation will be tarnished because of your foolish actions. Even if you manage to bribe your way out, your future is already in ruins."

"Okay!" Samson replied, before turning his attention to the burly men who were still holding onto Olive. They released her as soon as Samson gave them a signal, which they understood.

Mark then approached Olive, his expression softening as he looked at her, tears still streaming down her cheeks.

"You’re safe now," Mark reassured her. He then lifted her in a bridal style from the bed and carried her out of the underground, leaving Samson, the school bullies, and the burly men behind.

Outside, a Toyota Camry was parked, and Mark placed Olive inside before getting into the driver’s seat and driving away.

The car soon pulled up in front of an ash-colored mansion, a grand structure with intricately designed walls and a beautifully manicured lawn. Mark drove the car in and stopped in front of the mansion. He then got off the car as well as Olive as he guarded her into the mansion.

The interior of the mansion was equally impressive, with high ceilings, marble floors, and crystal chandeliers casting rainbows of light. Mark carried Olive through the foyer and into a spacious living room, where luxurious couches and armchairs surrounded a crackling fireplace.

He then proceeded and carried Olive up the stairs, the sound of his footsteps reverberated through the hallway. He soon halted in front of a large silver door and opened it to reveal his room, a spacious haven with a king-sized bed, a desk, and a balcony overlooking the gardens.

Gently laying Olive on the bed, her eyes still teary, Mark spoke softly, "Let me fetch you some water and a first-aid kit. We need to tend to those wounds."

Olive nodded in acknowledgment, and Mark swiftly returned with the first aid supplies, warm water, and a towel. He carefully positioned Olive’s injured knees on his lap.

"No, I’ll take care of the wounds myself," Olive insisted through her tears, moving her leg away from his lap only to have it placed back gently.

"It’s only fair that I take care of it for you," Mark interjected, but Olive withdrew her leg from his lap.

"I said I’ll handle it on my own. You’ve already done so much by rescuing me from those monsters. Thank you, Mark," Olive said, tears still streaming down her face.

"It’s no problem, Olive! I did what any friend would do in that situation. I’m sorry you’re going through all of this," Mark replied, his expression somber as he kept his eyes on Olive whose pain was evident on her face.

Mark’s expression turned determined. "Arthur, please let me help you. You’re injured, and I can’t just stand by and do nothing."

Olive’s determination remained unwavering. "I’m serious, Mark. I’ll take care of the wounds myself."

Mark hesitated, his gaze meeting hers. Eventually, he agreed and sat beside her on the bed. "Alright, take a shower now and then treat the wounds. I’ll go get you some food and make sure you take some medication."

Olive nodded, still looking down. Mark embraced her, offering comfort as she finally let her tears fall.

"It’s okay now. Don’t worry," Mark reassured her, his heart heavy with sorrow. "Samson needs to be taught a lesson," he added with a serious tone.

"He’ll get away with it if we report him. His father’s wealth will likely influence the situation and prevent any consequences. And Lucas is involved too, so they’ll both escape punishment by using their money to silence the authorities," Olive explained, her head resting on Mark’s chest as she continued to cry.

"Yes! And your life would even be in danger for challenging the rich families but I can tell you that Lucas isn’t involved in this. I believe it was Samson’s plan alone." Mark interjected with a heavy sigh."

"But Lucas was the one who targeted me, right? He’s the one who started the bullying. The bullying all began because of him." Olive spat, her voice filled with anger.

"I despise wealthy people. You always get away with all sorts of atrocities because of your money." She cried, her heart heavy with pain.

"I’m sorry!" Mark replied as he continued to comfort her. "I’m just glad you’re safe now."

"How did you find out that I was kidnapped?" Olive raised an eyebrow.

"Henry told me." Mark revealed with a heavy sigh. " I’m glad I was at school when it happened."

"Now that I think about it, I don’t want to pursue a career in medicine anymore. I want to become a lawyer to ensure that people like you don’t escape justice." Olive declared.

"Become a judge."Mark suggested, causing Olive to look up from his chest.

"Huh?" Olive raised an eyebrow.

"Yes! Become a judge so that your decisions carry weight. Once you sentence a criminal to be punished, no one will dare disobey." Mark explained as he locked eyes with her, his hand patting on Olive’s head as he continued to comfort her.

"Alright, let’s tend to your wounds before they get infected. I’ll get you something to eat while you do that." He added, getting up from the bed and leaving Olive alone with her thoughts and emotions.
