Chapter 44: Misunderstood Intensions II
Chapter 44: Misunderstood Intensions II
Olive was still in disbelief that Lucas, whom she thought was changing, was actually plotting against her. He never considered her or Mark as friends. All members of the 3RM despised the scholarship students.
Samson pretending to want to be friends with me meant that Mark friendship with me is fake. They were all just trying to harm me and never saw me as a friend.
"Why would you think you’ll be considered a friend by those bullies, those rich kids?" Henry asked, shaking his head in pity. "I’m glad you understand now though. Be cautious from now on. We don’t know when they’ll put their evil plan into action, so it’s best to be careful." With that, Henry left the dorm, leaving Olive alone with her thoughts.
The sky darkened to a deep, ominous grey, like a mourner’s shroud. Clouds swirled and roiled, their dense masses illuminated by flashes of lightning that seemed to rend the air with crackling intensity.
The wind howled and moaned, a mournful sigh that shook the trees and rattled the windows. Rain lashed down, a relentless drumbeat that threatened to drown out all other sound. The darkness was almost palpable, a living entity that pressed in on all sides, making it hard to breathe. The storm raged on, a furious tempest that seemed to have a life of its own, unleashing its fury upon the world with a primal scream.
Olive sat still on the bed, her head buried between her laps, unable to shake off the conversation with Henry.
"Why did I think we could be friends? We’re only got this close because of the upcoming competitions. But why would they target me like this? I didn’t harm his sister, so why should every scholarship student suffer for one person’s mistake?" Olive pondered, each thought accompanied by a sharp exhale.
Bang~
The door of the room swung open with a loud bang, causing Olive to raise her head to see who had entered. It was Lucas, drenched from the rain as he walked in. His bruises from the fight with Samson and Thomas had been treated.
Olive’s heart skipped a beat as she locked eyes with Lucas. The memories of her conversation with Henry replayed in her mind, causing her to gulp nervously.
"Why are you staring at me like that? You look like you’ve seen a ghost, a handsome ghost?" Lucas joked as he moved closer to his bed and removed his wet shirt. He then took off his trousers and shorts, revealing his seven-inch dragon which was erect. After changing into a fresh outfit, he tossed the wet clothes into the washing machine and settled down on his bed.
Olive quickly averted her eyes, hiding her face in her lap once more.
"Are you feeling better now? The principal won’t be punishing any students anymore, so you can relax," Lucas said with a light chuckle, turning to look at Olive, who was still not paying attention to him.
Lucas’s expression turned to concern as he approached Olive, lifting her head and gently holding her cheeks as they locked eyes.
"Are you still feeling weak? Since you don’t use hard drugs, I understand if you’re still feeling weak. Should we consider going to the hospital instead? You initially refused to go to the school clinic and asked to be taken back to the dorm. If you’re feeling weak, just let me know, and we can go to the hospital instead of the school clinic."
Olive remained silent, her thoughts consumed by her conversation with Henry.
Who are you trying to fool? Are you pretending to gain my trust only to betray me later, you monster? Olive thought to herself, a sly smile playing on her lips.
"Get your hands off me!" Olive snapped, her voice tinged with anger as she pushed Lucas’s hand away from her cheek.
"What’s with the sudden attitude?" Lucas asked, his eyebrows furrowed in confusion.
"I’m feeling better. I’m just relieved that the punishment has been called off." Olive finally spoke, forcing a smile.
"That’s a relief then. Also, Samson is not the one who spiked your drink. Remember Mark and Aiden were also drugged which means Samson isn’t the one that drugged you guys at the party. Mark and Aiden are his friends, so why would he harm his own friends?" Lucas said with seriousness laced in his tone
"Someone else must have been responsible for drugging the drinks, but it was probably just to make us feel high, not to harm anyone." Lucas added, a wide grin on his face.
Impressive! Olive thought to herself. You accused them before, but now you’re willing to give them the benefit of the doubt.
"Are you okay?" Lucas asked, bringing Olive back from her thoughts."You seem lost"
"I’m fine. When do you plan on leaving the dorm? We’ve already practiced for the debate and rugby during the vacation, so shouldn’t you head back to the 3RM dorm?" Olive asked with a forced smile.
Lucas looked puzzled, not understanding Olive’s behavior. Is it because of the drug still affecting her? he wondered.
"I’m staying in the dorm. Besides, I prefer it here, and you’re mistaken about something - we’re not finished practicing until the day of the competition." Lucas replied confidently before moving to his own bed.
"You’re always the one pushing for practice, but now you want me to leave. Your plan won’t work. Even if you feel confident about the debate, I still need more practice for rugby and to win the competition, so I’m staying in the dorm. Plus, you’re still not feeling well." Lucas said with a smile.
Olive’s eyes narrowed, filled with thoughts of distrust and betrayal. She couldn’t believe Lucas was pretending to care about her well-being while secretly plotting against her.
"Stop pretending to care about me or my success in the competition. You’re just a liar. I can’t believe I trusted you, only to find out you’re planning to hurt me." Olive’s eyes flashed with anger.
"Pretend? Hurt me? Do I need to pretend before hurting someone?" Lucas asked as he approached Olive. "What’s gotten into you tonight? Why are you so upset just because I said I’m staying in the dorm with you?"
The storm outside intensified, with booming thunder and flashing lightning, highlighting the tension between them.
Olive responded by rolling her eyes and saying, "Oh yeah! You can just ask someone else to do the dirty work while you sit back and watch."
Lucas, his voice filled with anger, retorted, "
Now you’re crazy for thinking like that. If you don’t want me in your dorm, just say it. Why are you trying to bring me down with your words?"
Olive straightforwardly replied, "Yes, I don’t want you in the dorm. Can you leave now?" This prompted Lucas to approach her in anger.
Lucas declared, "You really think you can order me around? I’m the heir of this school, so I can stay wherever I want."
Olive smirked and said, "Yeah, you’ll always be the bully, motherfucker indiot. The George Lucas I know will always be the same." She then laid down on the bed, covering herself with a blanket and turning away from Lucas.
Lucas muttered to himself, "What the hell is wrong with him?" He shook his head in frustration before moving back to his own bed.

The next morning began with a gentle, peaceful grace, like a lover’s touch. The sky was a vibrant blue, with wispy clouds floating by. The sun rose slowly, casting a warm, golden light over the world.
Despite the beautiful morning, Olive and Lucas refused to talk to each other. They both made their way to the classroom separately and even retorted to sitting apart the English in class.
The class was soon over but the tension between Olive and Lucas was still high.
"You should all go to the laboratory now," Mr James said before heading out of the class
Upon hearing the announcement, Olive sighed heavily, packed her books, and left for the laboratory, leaving Lucas, Mark, Aiden, Samson, and Thomas puzzled as they watched her go.
"What’s wrong with him?" Mark asked, still staring at the door. " I greeted him this morning but he refused to reply "
"I don’t know. He’s been like this since yesterday," Lucas replied with a sigh. "Do you think it’s because of the drug you gave her?" he whispered to Samson.
"No, I take the drug too when I’m feeling down. You should feel good after waking up, not angry," Samson whispered back. "Are you sure you do didn’t tell him about my plan?"
"No, he doesn’t know about that," Lucas whispered back.
"Why are you whispering? Can’t we hear what you’re talking about?" Aiden asked, looking annoyed.
"It’s nothing," Samson replied shortly.
Mark then approached Lucas. "Aiden and I have only met the twins once and you know them well, but we don’t. He then shifted his gaze to Samson"And I should tell you, I know you drugged me, Aiden, and Arthur last night."
Samson and Thomas looked shocked.
Mark soon turned his gaze back to Lucas. "I don’t know why we were drugged and you weren’t, but if you’re planning something, think twice. Don’t let them influence you into doing something you’ll regret," he warned before leaving with Aiden who rolled his eyes in distain at Samson and Thomas before heading out of the classroom.
