Chapter 43: Misunderstood Intensions
Chapter 43: Misunderstood Intensions
"It’s like you still want to be punishment if you keep asking unnessary questions, right?" Lucas asked, prompting Thomas to shut up. "And no, we’re not dating. I just kind of like Arthur. I just felt like I want to protect him," he added with a warm smile as he gazed into space.
"I recognize that feeling. It’s when someone begins to develop feelings for someone else. Samson joked.
"Stop with the nonsense, man. I’m not interested in men, and even if I were, I wouldn’t pursue Arthur. I just grew closer to him because we spent more time together practicing for the debate and rugby practice and also dealing with Samuel’s death. She, Mark, Aiden, and her friend Lara helped Austin uncover the truth behind Samuel’s murder." Lucas revealed.
" It’s shocking that the former principal was involved in the boy’s death. I was stunned to hear that a principal was having a relationship with a student." Thomas said with a heavy heart. "But I guess when she saw guys with attractive features, she couldn’t resist trying it out."He added with a burst of laughter.
"It’s a shame that the girls were separated. If only the boys and girls were still together and the girls weren’t sent to the school in Switzerland. I would have been with more than ten girls by now." Samson sighed. I miss being around girls.
"I’m relieved that they were separated, away from someone like you." Lucas said, causing Samson and Thomas to laugh. "Anyway, stay away from Arthur. I don’t want you to cause him any harm again."
"Now that sounds like a protective lover. Oh sorry... You aren’t dating. And yes, I’ll stay away from him." Samson replied. "But if he comes over, I can’t help but talk to him though."
" Do you think he’ll still talk to you after finding out that you drugged him and also planned for four men to assault him?" Lucas asked with an incredulous expression.
"Oh come on, don’t mention that. You know I did what I did because of you. I promise to try and befriend Arthur then." Samson pleaded sincerely.
"Don’t befriend him, it’s fine. And I won’t tell anyone about you drugging Arthur or the assault." Lucas said with a smile on his face as the three hugged each other.

After Lucas, Samson, and Thomas left, a short black-haired guy whom Olive encountered on her first day in school, from the bullying scene emerged from behind the wall.
"Drug and assault? He muttered to himself. He didn’t hear their other conversation as he arrived later, but he caught the words "not gonna tell Arthur about drugging or assaulting him."
"They’re planning to drug him? Those despicable humans!" The guy muttered to himself and walked away with Olive’s dorm in mind.
Olive was in her dorm recovering from the drug she had consumed at the party and was now reading her textbooks until she got distracted.
Knock. Knock. Knock.
"Come in Lucas, the door is opened," Olive replied from inside the room, prompting the black-haired guy to enter. Still, Olive had her face glued to her book until she decided to look up only to realize that he’s not Lucas.
"Who are you?" Olive asked, as she suddenly stood up from her chair.
"I’m Henry. Sorry for the disturbance, but I had something to tell you," he said, with seriousness laced in his tone.
"You look familiar though. Have we perhaps... met before?" Olive asked, her eyebrows furrowed.
"Yes, the bullying scene. Although you made a video, and I thought that would be able to bring down Lucas, but unfortunately, you only released it on the WhatsApp group, covering Lucas and his gang’s faces," Henry said with a deep sigh. "I believe you had a purpose for that," he added with a heavy sigh.
"I apologize for my actions, and you are correct, I had my reasons, Olive responded.
"It’s okay. Since you arrived, life has improved for scholarship students. There is no more bullying so therefore I came here today to warn you that you are in danger," Henry said, his expression shifting from gratitude to seriousness.
"Danger? What kind of danger?" Olive asked, raising an eyebrow with curiosity in her eyes.
"The principal’s twins are planning to drug you and assault you. Lucas knows about it but promised not to inform you." Henry disclosed with a serious tone.
" That’s impossible. Yes, I was drugged at the party last night, and I know Samson did it but Lucas is not involved with them." Olive replied confidently. " Are you trying to tell me that they’re panning another attack, and Lucas is now part of it? That seems unlikely."
" You seem to have placed a lot of trust in them. However, trusting people too much can lead to harm. How can you trust the wealthy students so easily? Have you forgotten how they treat scholarship students?" Henry’s words struck Olive like an arrow, piercing her heart.
"Are you suggesting that the 3RM has been deceiving me all this time, getting close to me just to make me believe they’re changed, only to hurt me when I least expected it?" Olive asked, her eyes filled with shock and disbelief.
"So, being drugged at the party yesterday was part of their plan, and they have an even bigger plan to drug me again and have me raped." Olive murmured to herself, coming to a grim realization. "Mark and Aiden getting drunk too was just an act not to make me suspect anything."
"It’s not surprising that Lucas tried to shift the blame to Samson and remove suspicion from himself. He wanted you to trust him more so he could betray you more effectively." Henry said, his tone grave as he looked at Olive.
"I can’t believe this. You can’t just come here and expect me to believe everything you’re saying." Olive said, her anger evident in her voice. "Lucas has shown me a different side of himself, and I refuse to believe he’s capable of such betrayal."
"I anticipated your reaction, which is why I recorded their conversation while I was working on my music." Henry said,
playing the recording on his phone.
The shocking content made Olive take a step back, her world crumbling around her.
"These wealthy individuals cannot be trusted. They are skilled at scheming and if you make yourself vulnerable, they will deal with you severely. It is important to note that the person who killed Lucas’s sister is a student on a scholarship." Henry explained with a serious tone.
"There are rumors that Lucas’s sister terminated her pregnancy against the guy’s wishes, but these rumors are not believed by many. The general belief is that the guy is responsible for her death. The animosity between Lucas and all scholarship students will persist." He added.
"If you associate with them, you are essentially a target for their planned retaliation for any perceived slights against them." Henry finally concluded with a heavy sigh.
