Chapter 176: Watch Your Mouth, Anabella!

Chapter 176: Watch Your Mouth, Anabella!

Annabella ignored him, her sharp gaze locking onto Olive. "Hey," she said, her tone dripping with mock sweetness. "Get me a strawberry drink from the cafeteria. And be quick, five minutes, or you’ll regret it."

"What the heck is this? Are you drunk or something?" Lucas asked, stepping protectively in front of Olive. His tone carried a mix of incredulity and disdain as he narrowed his eyes at Annabella.

Olive’s mind raced, her chest tightening with an unsettling suspicion. Wait... Is Annabella the one behind the text message and video? Her stomach churned, fear and anger twisting together. No... this can’t be happening. Fuck!

Annabella’s mocking smile widened, completely ignoring Lucas’s question. "I wasn’t talking to you, Lucas. I’m talking to your little friend there, standing behind you," she said, dismissively gesturing toward Olive. Then, with an impatient roll of her eyes, she added, "Better hurry, sweetheart. I’m not known for my patience."

Without another word, Annabella spun on her heel and sauntered out of the classroom, leaving Lucas, Mark, and Lara exchanging puzzled expressions.

"What’s wrong with her?" Lara muttered, folding her arms tightly. "She wasn’t acting drunk, but something is definitely off with her brain."

Lucas scoffed and shook his head. "She seriously needs to get her head checked. What’s with her power trip? It’s ridiculous."

Meanwhile, Olive stood frozen, her thoughts spiraling as beads of sweat dotted her forehead. The walls of the classroom seemed to close in around her. It felt like the entire world was conspiring against her at the worst possible time. She had only one final paper left, one chance to secure her scholarship, and now this. This cannot be happening. My parents... they’d be so disappointed if I let this ruin everything.

Noticing the strain etched on Olive’s face, Lucas turned to her, his expression softening with concern. "Olive? What’s wrong? You look... I don’t know... lost. Don’t let Annabella get to you. She’s just an empty drum, loud and annoying, but ultimately hollow."

Instead of replying, Olive clenched her fists, her nails digging into her palms as if to ground herself. Her jaw tightened, and without a word, she abruptly headed for the door.

"Hey!"

The voices of her friends, Lucas, Lara, Aiden and Mark called after her, tinged with worry. She heard them but didn’t respond, her feet carrying her out of the classroom and down the hall.

Reaching the cafeteria, Olive purchased the strawberry drink, her hands trembling as she clutched the cold bottle. Every step she took felt heavier than the last, the tension in her chest growing unbearable. Finally, she climbed the stairs to the school rooftop, her heart pounding with each echoing step.

When she pushed open the rooftop door, Annabella was already there, leaning against the railing with a smug grin that made Olive’s stomach twist.

"Ouuu, look who’s here, my favorite servant girl," Annabella sneered, stepping forward to snatch the drink from Olive’s hands. Her eyes glinted with cruel amusement.

Olive clenched her fists, biting back her retort as Annabella continued. "Well, you’ve done your part. Now you can run along. Don’t worry, I’ll call you when I need you again." Her mocking smirk deepened as she turned her back to Olive, dismissing her without another glance.

Olive stood there for a moment, her chest heaving as a wave of humiliation and helpless anger washed over her. Every fiber of her being screamed for her to fight back, but she felt trapped, unable to do anything that might make things worse. Her scholarship, her future, her parents’ expectations, all hung in the balance.

"What exactly do you want from me?" Olive finally demanded, her voice trembling with suppressed anger as she stared at Annabella. "You don’t expect me to run errands for you at school forever, do you? Fine! You have my secret. What are you planning to do now?" Her face contorted with frustration, her hands clenched into tight fists at her sides.

Annabella smirked, casually sipping from the strawberry drink. "Oh, trust me, I can do a lot, and you know it," she said, her voice dripping with mock amusement. "And as for running errands? Of course, you’ll keep doing them for as long as I say. Did you really think this little secret of yours would stay hidden forever, you sly bitch?"

"What secrets?" Olive asked, trying to sound puzzled. " Oh..you caught I and Lucas kissing. We’re gays."

"Oh yeah you’re going to lie about that but I’m not a fool, sorry!" Anabella said as she stepped forward and immediately she pressed her hand on Olive’s chest to feel her boobs which she was able to and just as Olive was about to step back, she loses her hair band, making her hair fall down to her shoulders. "I’m not a fool girl. You’re a girl."

"Fine!" Olive snapped, her tone fierce but edged with desperation. "I lied! I disguised myself as a boy. But it’s a mixed school now, Belmont doesn’t care about that anymore. The school administration will understand. They’ll forgive me, and I’ll just study as a girl." Her voice cracked slightly as she finished, but she held her ground.

Annabella let out a burst of laughter that echoed across the rooftop. "Forgive you?" she sneered, her eyes flashing with derision. "You’re even dumber than I thought. You seriously believe they’d let this slide? And what’s with your confidence? Oh, I get it, you think dating Lucas will save you. You’re betting on him to turn your sad little family’s life around, aren’t you? You saw him as your golden ticket and clung on for dear life. It’s pathetic, really. You low-class people never fail to surprise me."

"Watch your mouth, Annabella!" Olive yelled, her voice shaking with anger. She took a step closer, her eyes blazing, and Annabella immediately stepped forward to meet her. The two girls stood toe-to-toe, their gazes locked in a heated standoff.

"And if I don’t?" Annabella replied mockingly, a smirk playing on her lips. "What are you going to do? You should really lower your voice, dear. If I release this video, the whole school will know about your little charade. Can you imagine? Endless bullying from Lucas’s fangirls, all those obsessed little brats who’d tear you apart for even looking at him. They’ll make your life a living hell, and you’ll have no one to blame but yourself."

Olive swallowed hard, her anger mingling with dread as Annabella continued.

"Once Mrs. George gets wind of this, it’s over for you. She’ll send Lucas away probably to another country to ’fix’ him. Maybe even therapy sessions to figure out why he’d lower himself to fall for someone like you. Because no one, and I mean no one, will believe that a poor bitch like you managed to win over the heir of Belmont."

Annabella scoffed, her voice dripping with venom. "A poor girl dating Belmont’s heir? How ridiculous. You’ve already overstepped your boundaries, and I suggest you remember your place. Serve people like me, do my bidding, and maybe..maybe...I won’t share the video. Got it?"

Olive clenched her fists so tightly her nails bit into her palms. She struggled to keep her composure, her mother’s words echoing in her mind: Don’t cry in front of your enemies. Never show them your weakness.

"You’re lying, Annabella," Olive said at last, her voice shaking but determined. "You’ll share the video no matter what I do. That’s just who you are. And for your information, my family being poor doesn’t mean I don’t deserve an education. It doesn’t mean I don’t have the right to love."

"Right to love?" Annabella’s voice rose as she let out a bitter laugh. "And that’s why you chose Lucas of all people? My Lucas?" She stepped even closer, her face twisted with fury. "Let me make this clear, poor people don’t have rights. The only reason you exist is to serve people like me."

Olive’s whole body shook with rage, but she refused to let the tears pooling in her eyes fall.

Annabella leaned back, her smirk returning. "Good. I think we’re finally on the same page. I’m serious, Olive. I won’t post the video, for now. But your behavior will decide how long I can keep it to myself. And one more thing, stay away from Lucas. If I catch you with him, things will get much worse for you."

Olive didn’t reply as she just packed her hair into a bun back. She then turned on her heel and walked away, her steps firm despite the storm of emotions threatening to overwhelm her. She reached the stairs and descended slowly, breathing hard as she tried to hold herself together.

When she reached the hallway, she spotted Lucas. He was pacing outside the classrooms, his expression frantic as his eyes darted around, searching for her.

The moment his gaze landed on her, he rushed over, his face filled with concern. "Olive! What’s wrong? Where did you run off to? I’ve been looking for you everywhere," he said, panting slightly from running.

Olive opened her mouth to reply, but the tears she had been holding back suddenly spilled over. She broke down, sobbing uncontrollably.

"Hey, babe, what’s wrong?" Lucas asked, his voice gentle as he cupped her face in his hands. "Did someone hurt you? Tell me, and I swear I’ll crush their bones."

Olive shook her head, unable to form words through her tears.

Noticing the curious stares of passing students, Lucas frowned and gently took her hand. "Come on, let’s go somewhere private," he murmured, leading her away from the crowd.
