Chapter 161: I Have A Girlfriend Now..
The room was bathed in the soft glow of moonlight, casting an ethereal ambiance over the intimate scene unfolding between them. Olive’s words still echoed in Lucas’s mind. "I’m accepting it...I’m your girlfriend now."
His heart swelled with joy, and he deepened the kiss, his hands gently exploring the contours of her body, careful not to overstep. There was a sense of relief and happiness that filled the air between them.
As they broke apart for air, Lucas smiled, his eyes locking onto Olive’s. "I’ve wanted to hear those words for so long," he whispered, his voice trembling with emotion. "I can’t believe it...I have a girlfriend now!"
Olive’s cheeks flushed, but her gaze never wavered. She reached up to stroke his cheek with the back of her hand. "I’ve wanted to say them for just as long," she replied softly, her voice barely above a whisper.
With Olive still wrapped around his waist, Lucas walked over to the bed, gently laying her down. He hovered above her, his eyes drinking in the beauty of her face, every inch of her expression revealing the same happiness he felt.
"Lucas?" Olive’s voice wavered with uncertainty.
"Yeah?" he responded, brow furrowing in concern as he searched her face for any sign of hesitation.
"Are we...?" She trailed off, her eyes searching his for reassurance, her lips slightly parted as if unsure of the next words.
Lucas’s expression softened immediately, a gentle smile replacing his concern. "We’re taking things slow, Olive. We don’t have to rush into anything." His voice was calm, assuring her that there was no pressure between them.
Olive nodded, a small smile playing on her lips as relief washed over her. "Yes, Lucas. We should take things slow." She reached up to run her fingers through his hair, brushing a few stray locks from his forehead.
Lucas’s heart skipped a beat, his own emotions almost overwhelming him. "I want that too," he whispered, leaning down to kiss her again, this time softer, his lips brushing hers as if savoring the moment.
As the night wore on, their whispers turned into soft laughter, and their kisses deepened into a gentle exploration of each other’s souls. There was no rush, no need for haste, just the quiet intimacy of two people who had finally found each other.
In the midst of this tender moment, Lucas realized he had never felt more alive, more connected to someone. It wasn’t just the physical touch, it was the emotional bond, the understanding between them that made everything feel right.
As Olive’s eyes began to flutter shut, a contented smile spread across her face, Lucas knew then and there that he would do anything to keep this feeling alive.
"Forever," he whispered, his lips tracing the curve of her ear, his breath warm against her skin.
Olive’s eyes flickered open, her gaze locking onto his. "Forever," she echoed, her voice barely audible, but the conviction in her words was unmistakable.
A moment of peaceful silence passed between them before Lucas spoke again, his tone shifting. "And yes... Aiden knows you’re a girl. He found out on your birthday." His words were casual, but they sent a jolt of shock down Olive’s spine.
"Really?" Olive exclaimed, her eyes widening in surprise. "That’s... surprising. He didn’t even show any sign that he knew my secret."
Lucas chuckled, shaking his head slightly. "Yeah, that’s Aiden for you. He’s a master of disguise. You’d never know what he’s thinking unless he wants you to." His laugh grew louder, and Olive couldn’t help but join in, the tension from moments earlier evaporating into the air.

The shrill sound of the electronic alarm echoed throughout the entire school, jolting Olive and Lucas from their peaceful sleep. Wrapped in each other’s arms, they blinked awake on Lucas’s bed, their heads still foggy from the night before.
"Damn, we overslept!" Olive groaned as she opened her eyes, her gaze landing on Lucas’s sleepy face. "What are we going to do?"
Lucas chuckled softly, rubbing his eyes as he sat up. "I don’t know," he said with a lazy smile, "but I’m sure we’ll figure it out. We’ll wait for the others to finish with the bathroom, then we can go ahead and have our bath, sweetie."
Olive nodded, her face flushing pink as Lucas brushed his fingers through her curly hair, tucking a few strands behind her ear. The gesture was so tender, it made her heart swell.
"I just want to lay here with you a little bit longer," Lucas admitted, pulling her back into his embrace. "I won’t be able to cuddle or kiss you in front of everyone, you know. I could only do that when we’re alone, but I want to kiss you so badly in front of everyone. I want to hold your hand while we walk to lectures together..."
Olive’s heart fluttered at his words. She smiled softly, resting her head on his chest. "I want that too," she whispered, "but we can’t risk others finding out about us right now. It’s too dangerous."
She grazed his lips with hers, planting a soft kiss before pulling away again. The heat between them was undeniable, but they both knew they had to be careful.
"I want to ask you something," Lucas said after a moment, his gaze still locked on hers. His eyes were filled with curiosity and a hint of uncertainty. "Why didn’t you want to date me before? Was there a reason other than your gender being revealed?"
Olive’s expression softened as she let out a heavy sigh. "Yes, there was more," she admitted, her voice quiet. "I was scared... scared of what our relationship would be like. I didn’t want to fall deeply in love and then be betrayed. I always found ways to push you away, hoping it would stop anything from happening between us." She paused, her eyes lowering as if embarrassed by her confession. "But now I’m not scared anymore."
Lucas could only chuckle softly as he reached out to cup her face, his thumb brushing her cheek. "I would never betray you," he said firmly. "I’ll protect you from anything and anyone. I’ll fight for us, Olive. I’ll make sure nothing comes between us."
Moved by his words, Olive leaned in and kissed him deeply, their lips meeting with newfound passion. They were lost in the moment, their hands roaming over each other’s bodies, consumed by the desire they had been holding back for so long.
An hour later, Lucas and Olive made their way to the guys’ bathroom. They quickly separated into different stalls, washing away the remnants of the night before. When they were finished, they returned to the dorm, changed into their school uniforms, and headed to the scholarship students’ cafeteria where Mark, Aiden, and Lara were waiting for them.
"Woohoooo! What’s with this entrance?" Mark exclaimed the moment his gaze fell on Lucas and Olive, both of whom entered with expressions beaming with happiness.
The couple quickly settled down beside each other, their cheeks flushed pink, clearly embarrassed by the attention.
"What’s going on this morning?" Aiden raised an eyebrow, his gaze catching the silver necklace around Olive’s neck, which she quickly hid inside her shirt.
"What do you mean, what’s going on?" Olive asked, clearing her throat. "Is there something we should know?"
"You two are smiling like you’ve just won the lottery," Lara chimed in, her gaze curious. She bent down slightly, peeking under the table. "You’re even holding hands!" she exclaimed, causing Olive and Lucas to quickly release each other.
"Are you two...?" Lara started to ask, her voice lowering as she leaned closer to them. "Are you dating now? Officially a couple?"
Lucas and Olive exchanged glances before nodding, their faces beaming with excitement.
"Oh my goodness! Congratulations, you two!" Lara squealed. "Did you start dating last night?"
"Yeah," Lucas chuckled, unable to hold back his joy. "I have a girlfriend now."
Mark grinned, slapping Lucas on the back. "You’re a bad boy! You actually stayed in the dorm just to confess to her again? Man, you’re something else!"
"And here I am, the only single one in the group." Aiden let out a dramatic sigh, crossing his arms over his chest. "You guys should break up. We should all be single together."
Lara laughed, not at all surprised by Aiden’s words. "Dream on!" she teased, nudging him. "You’ll just have to live with it. We’re not breaking up anytime soon."
Mark planted a kiss on Lara’s lips, prompting Aiden to roll his eyes. "You’re being mean. But anyway, congrats, guys." He smiled before his expression turned serious. "But now, back to business. We need to start keeping an eye on Henry."
His gaze shifted to Olive. "You were friends with him before, right? It’ll be easier for you to talk to him. Study his reactions when you bring up Louise’s death. Ask him questions that might trigger something."
"Already starting a plan?" Olive asked with a small smile, adjusting herself in her seat. "And here I just got a boyfriend."
"Stop oppressing me!" Aiden laughed. "I know you have a boyfriend now, but we’ve got important tasks ahead. We don’t have much time with exams coming up. We need to act fast."
He turned his attention to Mark. "While Olive is talking to Henry, you and I will explore his dorm
