Disguised As A Boy To Attend Belmont High School -
Chapter 155: Who Died?
Chapter 155: Who Died?
"Move aside, kid," one of the officers said sternly, but Lucas was relentless, his hands trembling as he stood rooted to the spot. Ignoring the officer’s words, he reached out and pulled back the cloth that covered the body. His heart dropped.
"Louise!!!" The students in the hallway gasped in unison, their voices a mixture of shock, fear, and confusion. They stared at Louise’s lifeless body, eyes wide, as the horrifying sight of a knife plunged into his stomach sent waves of unease through the crowd.
One officer quickly grabbed Lucas by the arm, pulling him out of the way as the police moved forward. Lucas didn’t resist; he was too shocked to react, his eyes fixed on the terrible scene before him.
The officers continued their investigation, while the gazes of the students followed them, lingering on Louise’s body as it was eventually taken away from the school grounds. The once-busy hallway now felt like a graveyard, the weight of death hanging in the air.
"How did this even happen?" Olive whispered to herself, her mind racing with questions. When exactly did Louise come back to school? She had no answers, only a growing sense of dread.
A group of students soon gathered at the scene: Anabella, Jessica, Peace, and Henry arrived, their faces paling as their eyes fell on Louise’s corpse.
"He’s... dead?" Anabella murmured under her breath, exchanging shocked glances with the others. They had never imagined something like this could happen.
Just then, a loud electronic sound blared through the speakers overhead.
{Students should head towards the assembly now.}
"We should go," Mark said quietly, breaking the tense silence. "I’m sure they’ll explain what happened in the assembly." His voice was steady, though his eyes betrayed a hint of unease. The group nodded in agreement, joining the wave of students heading toward the assembly hall.
Once inside, the students took their seats. The atmosphere was thick with sorrow and confusion, their gazes directed at Principal Clara, who stood at the podium. She looked weary, her face grim and her eyes scanning the somber crowd.
"We’ve recently learned of a surge in drug distribution on school grounds," Principal Clara began, her voice hard and serious. "And then came the leaked video of three of our students.
Now, we are faced with something far more tragic, the death of one of our own." Her voice faltered slightly, but she quickly regained her composure. "Louise’s death is a terrible loss, and our thoughts are with his family and friends during this difficult time."
The assembly hall was filled with heavy silence, with only the sound of quiet murmurs passing between the students.
"We have reason to believe that Louise was involved in the distribution of the compromising video," Clara continued, her expression unwavering. "The police arrived this morning to arrest him for questioning, only to discover that he had been killed."
Gasps echoed throughout the hall. Murmurs of shock and disbelief spread like wildfire.
"Really? He’s the one who leaked the video?" a voice whispered from the back of the room.
"Was he killed because of that?"
"Do you think it’s the girls involved in the video?"
The assembly hall buzzed with nervous energy, as more students began to gossip, their faces painted with shock and speculation. For those who had been at Louise’s welcome party, however, the revelation was less surprising. Many already suspected his involvement.
"The police are investigating the matter," Clara said, raising her voice to calm the murmuring crowd, "and we will cooperate fully with them. Rest assured, the safety of our students is our top priority. Additional security measures will be put in place, and we will ensure that incidents like this never happen again."
Olive sat quietly, her mind racing with questions. Who could have killed Louise? Was it really because of the video? Or was there something else going on? She glanced over at Anabella and her group. They sat stone-faced, but Olive could see the tension in their eyes. They were as scared and confused as everyone else.
"For those who need it, counselors will be available to provide support," Principal Clara announced. "And I must remind you all, any further unruly behavior from anyone will result in immediate expulsion. We will not tolerate any actions that endanger the safety or well-being of others."
As Clara stepped down from the podium, the students began to stir, whispering among themselves, their faces filled with worry. Olive, Lucas, Mark, and Lara remained seated, deep in thought.
"Who do you think did it?" Lara asked in a hushed voice, her eyes flicking between the others.
"I have no idea," Mark replied, shaking his head. "But I hope they catch whoever’s responsible soon."
Lucas leaned back, crossing his arms with a smirk. "Do you think Anabella and her group killed him? It’s pretty suspicious, don’t you think?"
His words sent a shiver down Mark’s spine. He couldn’t help but move closer to Lucas. Could it really be true? Did they kill Louise?
"We can’t jump to conclusions, Lucas," Olive said firmly, frowning. "We have to let the police investigate before we start pointing fingers."
"This isn’t just some wild theory, Olive," Lucas replied, his tone serious. "Anabella and her group had plenty of reasons to want Louise gone. He had their sex video. He posted it online for everyone to see. You really think they wouldn’t want revenge?"
Lara nodded, her voice filled with conviction. "Lucas is right. I don’t think it’s that far-fetched. They’ve been in a cat-and-mouse game with him ever since that video was recorded. I wouldn’t be surprised if they decided to silence him before he could do more damage."
Mark scratched his head, looking skeptical. "But Louise wasn’t stupid. He knew other people were aware of his involvement. Why would he post the video publicly? He had to know that would get him caught."
"Exactly," Olive agreed, her frown deepening. "And Anabella and Peace might be tough, but I don’t think they’re murderers. They had too much to lose. The police would suspect them first."
Lara rolled her eyes. "Yeah, you say that, but I’ve seen people do crazy things when they’re pushed to the edge. You never know what someone’s capable of."
"Let’s just wait for the investigation," Olive said, though she couldn’t shake the feeling that something was horribly wrong. There had to be more to this.

Meanwhile, in a secluded room on the other side of the school, Anabella, Peace, Jessica, and Henry huddled together, their expressions filled with fear.
"I think it’s time to come clean," Jessica said, breaking the tense silence. Her voice trembled, but she spoke with determination. "Whoever’s responsible for Louise’s death needs to turn themselves in. This is getting out of hand."
"Responsible?" Peace’s eyes widened in shock. "You think we killed him? Like seriously?"
Henry crossed his arms, his gaze sharp. "Don’t act so innocent, Peace. Louise had dirt on you. He knew all your secrets. It wouldn’t surprise me if you wanted to get rid of him. There’s no point in hiding the truth."
Anabella clenched her fists, her voice shaking. "We didn’t kill him, Henry. We were going to talk to him this morning... beg him to delete the video only to find out that he was dead."
Henry smirked. "Right. You were going to beg. And when that didn’t work, you stabbed him to keep him quiet. Sounds like a solid plan."
"That’s insane!" Peace shot back, her face reddening in anger. "We hadn’t even seen him yet. We were on our way to his house when we heard the news. Someone else is responsible for Louise death. This person is a master planner. He knew once Louise is dead, everyone would suspect us."
Jessica folded her arms, her voice cold. "Maybe Anabella didn’t do it, but you, Peace? You’ve been acting suspiciously ever since the video was recorded. You’ve wanted to get rid of Louise so bad and now your plan finally works."
"What the heck?! I didn’t do it. I’m not one who carry out plans by myself. If i really wanted to kill him, I, Anabella and Racheal wouldn’t even help you in selling drugs. We could have just hired someone to kill him but we don’t want to and beside we want a clean task which we know you’re quite good at. I mean you come from the street he ce you know the way of the street."
"I’m not interested in any of your damn excuses but let me tell you something, if you still refuse to come clean, report yourself to tye poluce officers and face the consequences of your actions but instead you choose to keeo playing dumb, whereby dragging me into your dirt. I’m fucking going to go after you and kill you. You said I’m from the street right? And I know the way of the street. You better don’t let me show you the real meaning of street or you’ll curse the day you’re born." Jessica declared with a stern expression.
Her words hung in the air like a threat, and the room fell into a heavy silence.
