Disguised As A Boy To Attend Belmont High School
Chapter 130: The Gathering Storm.

Chapter 130: The Gathering Storm.

Meanwhile, Olive, Lucas, Louise, and Rachael were still seated at the cafeteria, heaving heavy sighs.

"What exactly is going on? Why did it seem like you were threatening Rachael earlier?" Jessica finally asked, breaking the awkward silence between them.

"Threatening her?!" Louise let out an outburst of laughter. "How can inviting someone to your welcome party be considered a threat?"

"Don’t treat me like a child. I know what you did there," Jessica interjected with a serious expression. "But anyway, it’s none of my business. I have no intention of having any issues with you rich kids."

"Good for you," Louise commented with a smirk. "Anyways, you’re all invited to the party. There’s a big surprise waiting for you all, and it would be a shame if you missed it."

Jessica could only scoff. "I’m not interested in surprises. I’m just interested in selling my drugs to more people at the party. I’ll go just to make some money."

"Well, you’re still attending. So, it’s a win-win," Louise replied with a grin.

Jessica and Louise then turned their gaze toward Lucas and Olive, who had been quiet since the conversation began.

Lucas’s eyes lingered on Olive, who was too busy eating her food to notice his stare. That was until she finally looked up.

"What’s wrong? Do I have something on my face?" Olive raised an eyebrow, feeling awkward under his gaze.

Lucas cleared his throat and shifted in his seat. "It’s nothing. And no, you’re wrong. I wasn’t staring at you," he replied, though Olive just rolled her eyes and looked away.

"We should go to the party. Just as Louise has a surprise, I also have something to announce to everyone," Lucas added with a wide smile.

"Something to announce?" Olive raised her eyebrow, her suspicion growing.

’I hope he’s not planning to confess his feelings in front of everyone? He better not,’ she thought, swallowing hard at the idea.

"Hmm, so you’ve got a surprise too, huh? I wonder how many surprises are in store for everyone tonight." Jessica chimed in, bursting into laughter.

"Lucas?" Olive called, her voice tinged with curiosity.

"Yes?"

"Can I talk to you for a moment?" she asked, her eyebrows raised, clearly wanting a private conversation.

"Nope!" Lucas replied with a wide smile, shocking Olive, who stared at him in disbelief. She hadn’t expected him to flat-out refuse her.

"What do you mean, ’Nope’?" Olive’s voice wavered, laced with unease.

"What do you think I mean? I just told you, I’m not going to see you right now. I’ve got better things to do," Lucas responded plainly.

"Huh?" Olive folded her arms across her chest. "What better things are you doing right now besides just sitting here? You’re ignoring my request on purpose."

Lucas stood up, locking eyes with Olive. "Well, I have to go then. I told you I have better things to do with my time," he said before walking away, leaving Olive speechless and frustrated.

"That crazy jerk," Olive muttered under her breath as she stood up abruptly, following Lucas without hesitation.

"What’s up with those two?" Jessica mumbled to herself, while Louise simply smirked as he watched Lucas and Olive disappear from view.

Meanwhile, Lucas made his way toward Olive’s dorm and quickly slipped inside. Just as he was about to lock the door, Olive stopped him, pushing her hand against the door to prevent it from closing.

"What’s wrong?" Lucas raised an eyebrow, the smirk still playing on his lips.

"I want to talk to you," Olive replied, breathless from running after him.

"Well, like I said, I have better things to do," Lucas responded, trying to pry her hand off the door.

"Stop it! This is my dorm, and I have every right to come in!" Olive yelled, her voice echoing down the hallway. A few students turned to look at her, their faces puzzled. Feeling embarrassed, Olive quickly pushed her way inside while Lucas, without a word, closed the door behind them.

He turned, only to be startled as Olive slammed her hand against the wall, trapping him with his back against the door.

"Now what?" Lucas asked, his tone more amused than concerned.

"What do you mean you have something to announce at Louise’s party? What exactly are you planning? Are you trying to confess your feelings in front of everyone? You’re not seriously that stupid, are you?" Olive asked, her gaze fixed on him, demanding an answer.

"I already told you," Lucas replied with a serious tone, "I have better things to do and no interest in answering your questions. So... MOVE!" He glared at Olive, his voice laced with impatience.

"You’ve already heard the questions, so just answer them! Stop being such a dickhead. If confessing your feelings to me in front of everyone is your way of winning me over, it’s not going to work. You’ll be the biggest fool I’ve ever came across if you do that," Olive shot back, her frustration rising.

But instead of answering, Lucas brushed her hands off the wall and tried to walk away. Olive, however, was quick to block his path again.

"You should really start your project with Louise soon. Stop wasting time here young lady," Lucas sighed heavily, trying to move past her, but she stood firm in his way once more. In an instant, Lucas grabbed her wrists, pinning them above her head against the wall. He leaned in, his face inches from hers, his smirk returning.

"You’re getting annoying, shortie," Lucas teased. "Or are you just missing my lips? Want another taste?"

"You’re delusional, Tallie," Olive shot back, glaring at him. "I’m only here to stop you from going through with that stupid plan of yours. Don’t you care about your reputation? If you confess in front of everyone, they’ll all be talking about the heir of Belmont High School being gay. That’s going to be the headline, and your mom will have a heart attack."

Lucas chuckled, keeping his grip firm. "I’ve dated girls before. Everyone knows that. They’re not going to think I’m gay."

"They’ll think you’re bisexual then, and even if you don’t mind being the center of attention, do you really want to drag me into that mess with you? I’m from a poor family and would be the one to suffer the consequences of your actions. It’s not going to look good for you." Olive struggled against his hold, her voice growing desperate. "Please, think before you act."

Lucas’s expression shifted slightly as he maintained eye contact. "Who said they’d think I’m bisexual? I’m in love with a girl. I’m straight." His words sent a wave of shock through Olive, her eyes widening in disbelief.

’What?! Is he planning to reveal my secret? That I’m a girl?’
