Chapter 114: Exposed.
Just shut up Anabella! ," Peace said, her voice gaining strength. "You have no right to blame anyone here. You’ve also been having sex with another person apart from Lucas afterall so stop the pretense of being a saint because you’re not."
The room fell into a heavy silence as the group sat with the truth laid bare, the weight of the night pressing down on them like a storm cloud waiting to break.
Anabella’s face flushed bright red as she glared at Peace, her eyes blazing with a mixture of anger and humiliation. "How dare you!" she spat, her voice venomous. "You have no right to say that about me!"
Peace stood her ground, her eyes flashing with defiance. "I have every right, Anabella. You’re always so quick to judge others, but you’re just as guilty. Are you really going to deny that you’re not sleeping around?"
Anabella ignored Peace and turned to Lucas, who remained silent. "Don’t believe anything she says, babe. She’s crazy!"
"Oh, really? You still have the nerve to call me crazy? Didn’t I catch you and Aiden together, screwing in the car?" Peace’s revelation sent a shockwave through the room. "You couldn’t handle Lucas not giving you attention, so you turned to his friend."
"What?!" Mark exclaimed, directing his gaze toward Aiden, who had been quiet. "Don’t you think you should say something? Peace is lying, right? You to defend yourself."
"He’s not going to say anything because he knows it’s true. I have the video on my phone, the proof," Peace replied with a smirk. "They’ve been screwing each other for a long time now."
"Peace!" Anabella screamed, her face livid with rage. She turned desperately to Lucas. "Babe, I... I, Peace is a liar!"
"Really? You’re screwing with Aiden? How interesting!" Lucas said, clapping slowly, his voice laced with sarcasm. "I always suspected, but I chose to ignore it. I knew you two were messing around, even back before the school became all-boys. Now that it’s mixed again, you’re back to your old ways."
"Baby, please I’m sorry!" Anabella pleaded, inching toward Lucas but hesitating to touch him. "He forced himself on me, Lucas! I swear! I never wanted to have anything to do with him"
Aiden’s calm expression shifted to fury. "Forced myself on you? Or were you the one who couldn’t wait to have a taste of me? You can’t go a day without sex, can you?"
"Shut up, Aiden! Just shut the hell up!" Mark shot back, his voice boiling with anger. "You betrayed Lucas, betrayed our friendship, and now you have the nerve to speak? Stay quiet if you don’t want to be dealt with tonight."
Aiden hung his head, shame weighing him down. He knew he had destroyed their friendship. "I’m sorry."
"I’m not mad, Mark," Lucas interjected with a forced smile. "I’ve been waiting for this day for Anabella and Aiden’s little relationship to be exposed. I’m glad everyone’s here to witness it. So, it’s over between Anabella and me, and it’s over between Aiden and me. I never really wanted to get back with her anyway, but I had my reasons. Now that I’ve proven my point, Anabella is useless to me." He added his gaze locked with Olive’s.
Olive’s gaze remained locked with Lucas as he spoke, her mind racing. Was the reason he was talking about her?
"I’m so disappointed in you, Aiden," Mark said, shaking his head in disbelief. "I better keep my girlfriend close, or you might force yourself on her when I’m not around." He pulled Lara closer to him, his grip tightening protectively.
"You’re always behaving like a saint but you aren’t. I thought you loved Lucas so much that you can’t allow another guy to have anything to do with you. But it was just a facade." Racheal spat, her voice dripping with distain as she glared at Annabella in anger.
"This is what we call from frying pan to fire. Who would have thought the school goddess Anabella isn’t pure." Lara mocked as she struggles to keep her laughter.
The room was thick with tension, everyone still reeling from the bombshells that had been dropped.
"Good choice, Lucas!" Jessica chimed in with a mocking laugh. "Rachael killed her boyfriend because of Henry and claimed it was an accident—blaming it on the fact that Michael used to assault her. But what if Anabella kills you next, huh? Would her excuse be that you don’t screw her anymore?"
She paused, the room silent, before continuing with an icy seriousness. "I don’t care about your messy relationships, but what I do care about is that I’ve gotten myself and my mom tangled in this disaster. So, you’d better stick to your stories and pray the police believe them, or I’ll ruin all of you. I’m not just some spoiled rich girl. I make my own money, sell drugs, and have thugs for friends. Don’t mess with me." With that, Jessica got up from the sofa and stormed out, slamming the door behind her.
Bang!
"Where did you meet that girl?" Lara whispered, shaking her head in disbelief. "She’s insane."
"We should ignore her," Olive sighed heavily. "Her mom’s club is now a crime scene, and we’re all mixed up in it. The police will call us soon. We have to stick to our stories. There’s no backing out now."
Lara nodded, along with the others, all silently acknowledging their shared fate.
"Arthur, I’d like to sleep in your dorm tonight. I don’t feel like staying here," Lucas suddenly said, his eyes lingering on Olive. "I need to clear my head about my friend who betrayed me for a girl."
Olive was caught off guard. He hadn’t come to her dorm since they returned from vacation, and now he wanted to again but she understood his reasons anyway.
"Uh... sure," Olive replied, swallowing hard. "Only two students are supposed to stay in the same dorm, but I’ve been staying alone."
"That’s because I arranged it that way," Lucas stated flatly.
"What?"
"Yeah, I told the school management that nobody else should share the dorm with you except me. The room was mine from the start. It was how I chose to deal with scholarship students. So, no one else gets to live there unless I say so."
He then began packing his blankets and pillows, preparing to follow her.
"I’m sorry Lucas." Aiden apologized but his apologies only fell in deaf ears as Lucas doesn’t even acknowledge him.
"It’s too late! Mark said as he glare angrily at Aiden. He then turned his gaze back to Lara. "Babe, I’ll walk you to the girls’ dorm," he said, brushing a strand of Lara’s hair away from her face. "You should get some rest. There’s an assembly tomorrow." He kissed her forehead gently, murmuring, "I love you."
Anabella who continued to cry profusely and Aiden remained silent, their heads bowed in shame. They knew no one wanted to hear anything from them.
Henry then walked over to Rachael, extending a hand to help her up, but she brushed him off and stormed out while Henry hurried after her.
Mark and Lara left next, followed by Lucas and Olive, leaving Anabella and Aiden alone.
"They can screw all night for all I care," Mark muttered as he and Lara exited the school building. "The room’s theirs now."
Olive and Lucas exchanged glances before heading to Olive’s dorm.

Later that night, Olive lay in bed, already dressed in her nightgown. She watched Lucas, still seated and looking grumpy.
Sitting up, she asked, "What’s wrong? Are you still upset about Anabella and Aiden?"
Lucas smirked. "No, I’m just surprised by how cruel someone can be."
"Huh? Who?" Olive asked, her eyebrows knitting together in curiosity. "Is it about Rachael and Henry?"
"You’re so naive," Lucas said, shaking his head in disbelief. Olive’s expression shifted, her annoyance growing.
"I’m not naive. You can’t expect people to guess your thoughts. You have a mouth, so use it. I’m not a mind reader," Olive retorted, rolling her eyes.
"Really?" Lucas raised an eyebrow. "Okay, then. You’re the cruel one. Your innocent face is just a facade. Your heart is evil."
"What? What are you talking about?" Olive asked, her irritation mounting. "We haven’t even spoken since we got back from vacation, and now that we are, you’re accusing me of being cruel? Don’t take your anger out on me just because you broke up with your girlfriend. That’s not my fault."
Suddenly, Lucas stood and walked toward her, placing his hands on either side of the bed, trapping her.
Olive’s heart pounded in her chest. "Wh... What are you doing?"
"Don’t you miss me?" Lucas asked, his voice low and serious.
"Miss you? Why would I?" Olive replied, her pulse racing as she stared at him.
"Why wouldn’t you? Do you really plan to torture me forever? Don’t you care about what I do? Now that Anabella’s secrets are out and she’s gone, don’t you hate me for being with her in the first place?" Lucas’s tone was edged with intensity.
"You’re drunk. Your breath reeks of alcohol. And Jessica probably drugged you too, even though she denied it," Olive replied, swallowing hard.
Lucas leaned in closer. "Do you want me to prove I’m not drunk?"
Before Olive could respond, Lucas pressed his lips against hers, kissing her deeply.
