Chapter 180: What Does She Mean to Him?
The car sped along, and before she knew it, Jiang An had fallen asleep leaning against the seat. The gentle breeze lifted the stray hairs by the girl’s temples, and Wei Yan, sitting in the driver’s seat, took the opportunity while waiting for a red light to put his coat back over her.
She is the little Princess he would protect in this lifetime, not just tonight, but always.
After saying goodbye to Wei Yan at the entrance of her residential area, Jiang An walked up the stairs. Even though she hadn’t done anything tonight, she felt incredibly tired.
Clearly, she was still not good at socializing.
Upon entering her home and seeing the lights on, she was surprised to find that Gao Chuan had come home earlier than she had.
Jiang An walked into the living room but didn’t see him. Following the sounds to the bedroom, she was about to step inside when she saw the bathroom door open. There, the fair-skinned man sat in a bathtub filled with water, holding a bottle of red wine while in the midst of getting dressed.
Jiang An hurried over. The man was still wearing the black striped shirt from the auction, but now all the buttons on the front were undone, revealing his well-defined muscles. He silently tilted his head back to drink.
She had never seen Dr. Gao like this. The dim light in the bathroom cast shadows over his body, his eyes sharp as a hawk, radiating an aura of ’keep out.’
His mood seemed off.
"Dr. Gao, you’re drunk," Jiang An said, noticing his weary expression. She leaned over, trying to grab the wine bottle from his hands. Half-squinting, Gao Chuan finally turned to look at her, his gaze indecipherable.
"Jiang An... you’re back." His voice was husky, inexplicably alluring.
Seeing him drowning his sorrows alone made her heart skip a beat. She had just reached out when he grasped her hand in mid-air. The next second, Gao Chuan reached with his other hand to cradle the back of her head and sealed her lips precisely in a stormy kiss.
The kiss came without warning, overwhelming Jiang An and drowning her anxious heart.
Gradually, their lips and teeth intertwined, as if he was a conqueror eager to claim new territory.
The man’s body was wrapped in a strong scent of liquor, his clearly defined muscles still speckled with beads of water.
Soon, Gao Chuan had taken all her breaths away, her wrist still held in his grip, as she instinctively forgot to resist.
When he finally paused, his eyes still blazed with intensity. He stepped out of the bathtub and swiftly swept Jiang An into his arms.
Jiang An was undoubtedly stunning to him today, yet he did not seem very happy.
It was only when Jiang An was roughly thrown on the bed that she realized something was different with him today. As the girl grimaced in pain and reopened her eyes, she saw the man straddling her, already shedding his wet shirt, then immediately bent down to pry open her lips again.
Soft light enveloped them, slowly diffusing a faint glow.
The air churned with intensity between the soft covers, leaving Jiang An nearly breathless as she hurriedly pushed against the man’s chest.
Dizzy and confused from the kisses, it took a long time before the man was willing to leave her lips.
Jiang An lay on the bed gasping, bewildered as to why the man was forcefully kissing her again today without any explanation.
"Dr. Gao, stop," she murmured, feeling her lips start to throb painfully.
However, the man in front of her seemed not to hear, biting into the girl’s snowy neck as he breathed heavily; Jiang An cried out in pain, quickly reaching out to push him away.
But the man quickly restrained her hands above her head, ignoring Jiang An’s objections as he fervently licked her snowy skin, his whole demeanor like a raging wolf with fire in its eyes.
Jiang An struggled weakly, her legs pinned under the man, unable to move.
In Jiang An’s memory, Dr. Gao had never lost control like he did tonight.
The man seemed to have completely lost his reason; the more Jiang An struggled, the more excited he became, already starting to remove the girl’s dress. Perhaps due to his impatience, the soft fabric was torn in an instant, a "ripping" sound reaching their ears, leaving both startled.
The girl’s exposed chest lay trembling on the bed, silent tears streaming down her cheeks, landing noiselessly on the pillow.
She had never been so afraid of the sinister-faced man before her, not understanding what terrible mistake she had made tonight to provoke such anger in him, determinately wanting to force himself on her.
Finally, the sound of the girl’s sobbing pulled Gao Chuan back to reality; he slowly released her arms, seeing Jiang An hurriedly cover her chest, tears welled up as she questioned loudly: "Dr. Gao, what am I to you?"
Seeing Song Xin and Gao Chuan together today had already made her uneasy, and now, being frantically claimed by him upon her return made all the emotions she had been holding back choked up in her chest.
What did he really take her for? A tool to casually relieve his desires?
In a daze from drinking, Gao Chuan, hearing Jiang An’s fierce questioning, finally realized what he had just done; his dark eyes gradually softened, heart aching as he looked at the fabric he had torn on her chest, his Adam’s apple moving but unable to say anything.
He was just overwhelmed by jealousy, thinking about Jiang An meeting Wei Yan that evening made him discontented, which led him to return alone and drown his frustrations in drink, never expecting to act out such behavior towards Jiang An.
How was he any different from those scoundrels tonight?
Regretfully, he attempted to touch Jiang An’s tear-streaked cheeks but she dodged, realizing Gao Chuan had finally come back to his senses. Her eyes already red, her face as pale as death, she commanded: "Get out!"
"Get out!" With those determined words, tears betrayed her anew.
Seeing this, Gao Chuan obediently got off the bed, thinking Jiang An was probably shocked and did not want to see him right now, then silently walked out of the bedroom.
He really had gone mad!
Alone, he ran to the balcony to smoke, lighting one cigarette after another, the irritation in his heart refusing to dissipate.
He thought he really deserved to die, for having committed such a ruffian act towards Jiang An.
Had he not stopped in time, the consequences would have been unimaginable.
Thinking of Jiang An’s tearful appearance lying on the bed, he cursed himself in his heart, just hoping that she wouldn’t hate him.
Only after a long time did he manage to calm himself down enough to think about returning to the bedroom.
He was wrong today; he wanted to go back and check on Jiang An.
Just as he was about to turn the doorknob, he realized the door had been locked from the inside. Standing in front of the door, his expression suddenly darkened.
So, in the end, he had left her with a shadow.
He was truly an absolute bastard.
