Gao Chuan appeared calm as the sea, continuing to eat as he explained, "Think of it as going on our honeymoon. Don’t worry, Ms. Shen has arranged everything."

He didn’t know why, but the idea of taking Jiang An on a trip had suddenly surged in his heart. Considering the past few months since their marriage, they had either been running back and forth to Grandma Gao’s or were busy working all day, with hardly any real time to relax.

Carrying a hefty suitcase, Jiang An came out to see Gao Chuan had changed into a suit but hadn’t packed anything else. She froze, wondering if he was really planning for a trip.

"Let’s go," the man said upon seeing Jiang An come out. He naturally took the suitcase from her hand. Though puzzled, Jiang An no longer questioned and followed his tall and straight figure out the door, picking up her pace.

It’s said that after a night’s sleep, the intimacy between husband and wife grows. Now, it seemed what Xia Zi said was not without reason.

After last night, the atmosphere between them no longer felt awkward. Even though Gao Chuan was man of few words on the way to the airport, she didn’t feel as uncomfortable anymore.

Jiang An was organizing her things in the bedroom when she saw the vanity full of makeup and a wardrobe packed with clothes; she suddenly felt what she brought was excessive. In the past, she would have been too shy, but thinking that they were here on their honeymoon made such arrangements seem reasonable.

He glanced at the call ID, and it was Song Li calling.

"Hello," the man’s finger slid to answer, his voice deep and magnetic.

Loud music came from Song Li’s end, asking him if he was free to come over and have fun, it was a welcome party hosted by several friends who had been close to him since childhood for Song Xin.

"No time; I’m not in Jing City," Gao Chuan replied truthfully, stretching his fingers and pinching the space between his eyebrows as he spoke.

Hearing this, Song Li asked curiously, "Where’d you go? Switzerland?"

The man leaned back on the sofa and told him that he brought Jiang An to L City for their honeymoon.

Song Li fell silent on the phone for a while, it seemed it took him several seconds to recover before he said teasingly, "Wow, so you’re putting love before friendship."
