A week has gone by since killing the people of the Golden Manor.

The Clan has changed since then.

Everyone is riled up about getting the clan stronger.

Training of members has increased tremendously.

The Spirit of the clan has been at an all time high.

l walk around the clan and everyone who sees me offers a greeting.

I am supposed to be in my room cultivating but a trouble maker is causing me my peace.

I walk all the way to the canteen Dang Ki Ran is operating.

I walk in and at the far edge stood Dang Hyuk.

He stood there, his eyes closed, his arms folded around his chest and his head low.

On his face you could see he was beaten up badly not too long ago.

Hmmmm, from what I feel from him, he seemed to be cultivating.

"But I’m not interrupting her business, if anything, I’m bringing in more customers." He replies to me like I’m disturbing him.

"Look around you, though they are coming here and buying stuff, none are eating it.

Most just come here to see you.

Even if they are being paid, no good business owner would like to see their products being wasted." I say to him.

"So what do you suppose I do?" He asks me.

"And why the fuck should I help you with that." I thought to myself.

"Look, just try something else out." I say to him as I walk over to the canteen where Dang Ki Ran was.

I heave a sigh as I ask her;

"How is it going?"

"I’m pretty sure you are aware of that." she says back.

"Yhhhhhhh, where is Rin though?" I ask trying to look over the counter.

"I’m here!" Rin responds from the other side of the counter.

I go over to play with her a bit.

She looked annoyed.

She was pouting.

"What’s wrong sweetie?" I ask as I gently squat down.

She didn’t answer at first, she just continued pouting.

"C’mon, tell me what’s going on." I ask her again.

It seemed like Dang Ki Ran knew what was going on but she said nothing and just kept doing her stuff.

"Mom doesn’t want to let me go meet big brother Hyuk." She replies.

"Huh? Big brother Hyuk? Since when?" I said to myself as I turned to glance at Dang Hyuk.

Did they meet when he abducted her?

I thought he only used his men.

For her to be calling him big brother, he must have treated her right.

Also means Dang Ki Ran didn’t tell her she was kidnapped, and by him.

I heave a short sigh before saying anything else.

"Mom must have a reason why, just trust her ok?" I say trying to console her with my hand on her cheeks.

I stand up and give a glare to Dang Ki Ran.

She knew but avoided my eyes.

I left and went back to Dang Hyuk.

"Have you tried talking to her?" I ask him.

"Yes but she won’t even listen to what I have to say aside from greetings, and I feel like she’s even just greeting me because I am a son of the Patriarch." He states.

Well at least he’s not that dumb.

I don’t know any more, I’m tired, I need to go back and cultivate.

"Ladies don’t always like too much, so just stick around, maybe she’ll feel your sincerity, maybe." I say to him as I pat his left shoulder.

He looked a little confused but that wasn’t any of my business.

I left the canteen and headed towards my courtyard to train.

She locks up the place and begins to walk away.

"I believe I have shown enough of my sincerity, what more do you want me to do?" Dang Hyuk suddenly burst out loud.

"Maybe just leave us alone?" Dang Ki Ran thought to herself as she rolled her eyes.

"Look, I know what I did was not right, and I am trying to apologize,can’t you at least give me a chance?" He says, this time his voice more calm.

"There is no need for all this young master, I have heard you and it is far above me to dare grant forgiveness on the First Young Master of the Dang Clan." Dang Ki Ran responds with a head bow showing a hint of sarcasm.

Dang Hyuk heaves a long sigh as he smacks his face with his palm.

He got annoyed.

His voice got deep as he said;

"Look, I haven’t eaten a thing since I left my room, I’ve been standing for hours and I..."

"None of that is any of my business Young Master, it’s getting late and I and my daughter need to get home, or would you stop us from doing that?" Dang Ki Ran cuts him off.

Dang Hyuk was annoyed but he did nothing.

He turned and left.

Dan Ki Ran also left with Rin after watching him walk off.

"Why are you angry with big brother Hyuk?" Rin asks as they leave.

"I told you he is not your big brother." Dang Ki Ran responds, her tone was a bit harsh.

"Then what is he?" Rin asks.
