Chapter 70: Wild Little Wolf

Ravenna deeply glanced at the place she had regarded her home for the few months she lived there. And now, after a short-term disappearance, she was back there again.

’I never thought I’d ever step foot here again," She murmured to Nyx, who was standing beside her.

"Neither did I," Nyx also whispered absentmindedly, a bitter smile on her face. The place seemed to hold some memories that she was suddenly reminded of.

Ravenna misunderstood her words and could not help but think of the first time she saw Nyx. "You..."

"For the last time, I’m not interested in your man. I can already smell you burning with jealousy. And... as for why he kissed me that night, he just wanted to rile you up so you could leave. He knew those people would capture you, and that’s exactly what he wanted."

Finn’s mouth dropped in shock. Not because his brother apologised but for something else. It wasn’t a surprise anymore hearing him say he apologised to her. He had already seen how Alaric was lost the time she had disappeared.

"And she forgave you just like that?" Why wasn’t he forgiven also after spending a whole two hours on the plane apologize but she never even gave him a look, let alone saying a word. "That’s unfair. Don’t you think she’s being biased?"

"Not my problem," Alaric replied, unsympathetic. "Tell Zander I need to see you both first thing in the morning."

Finn wiped off his childish look and gazed at Alaric curiously. "Is something up?"

"Hmm. I need an explanation from both of you, and this time, I won’t be too forgiving if you dare lie." His eyes flashed red in a blink, then back to normal. It was a clear warning how serious he was.

Finn sighed with a nod. He knew it would not be long before Alaric found out their long-time secret, but he didn’t think it would be this soon.

He was about to explain when they heard something break inside the house.

"Shit!" Finn cursed and rushed inside, while Alaric just followed in a moderate pace, as if he was not interested in whatever was happening. Anyone sane could already guess a little angry wolf was wreaking havoc upon his people.

"Are you mad?" Zeke roared angrily as he he pulled out a shard of glass from his cheek and dropped it to the ground where others lied.

"You just realized that now. Wait till I get my hands on you, and then you’ll know how mad I can be." Ravenna crazily jumped over the coach, approaching Zeke, but Nyx held her in check with her magic. She froze her and was unable to move. "Nyx! Let me go."

"Let’s talk it out, dear. I don’t want you getting hurt," Nyx walked beside her.

"No! You also heard what he just said. Not to add to it he accused me of being involved with another man two months ago. I haven’t forgotten that yet."

"What are you bitter about? Isn’t natural for me to find another woman for Alaric. You were the one who left him which caused my brothers and I trouble." Zeke growled at her, remembering those cold nights him, Luke and Seth spend in the dungeon just because of those two. If it were not for their sensible brother, Luke, who convinced Alaric, they probably would have still be there until she was found.

"Stop it, Zeke," a soft low voice echoed behind Zeke. It was Luke who stepped forward, now facing Ravenna. "We are sorry, Miss Ravenna for everything. It was selfish for us to have used you as a bait." Luke sincerely apologised, his eyes holding something back. He felt guilty, but on the other hand relieved.

Ravenna unconsciously went calm. "You don’t have to apologize. It wasn’t your fault in the first place." Luke looked up to her face, smiling. "Aiya! Don’t stare at me like that. I’m getting goosebumps all over, cutie pie. Whoo!"

Nyx was bewildered by the sudden turn of events. Wasn’t she supposed to be angry? But here she was blushing as if her crush had just confessed to her.

It was not just Nyx, but also Zeke and Finn.

"Girl, have you forgotten who is your man?" Nyx whispered, her heart drumming g as if it would pop out. She was scared of what Alaric would do if he saw that. Unknown to her, the man was silently watching while sipping his wine slowly on the bar cellar.

"I just can’t resist his cuteness," Ravenna giggled.

"You never fail to surprise me," Nyx sighed and undid her spell.

"No need to say it. I know I’m amazing."

"Eew!" Nyx sat on the sofa. "Let’s take a moment of rest you can continue your drama later."

Ravenna thought about as she glared and Zeke and Finn, smiled at Luke then took a seat beside Nyx. "It’s not drama. That’s called venting."

"Your venting is quite extraordinary. "

"Just like me."

There was a light harmonious feeling in the air. Finn, Luke and Zeke, all looked at the wild little wolf, in admiration. Though he acted rude and all that, Zeke was quite relieved. Ever since the noisy girl left the place, it had become a quiet like a graveyard. The warmth and liveliness she brought had vanished leaving a hollow. He would never admit to her but she was special to all of them. It was not just him who felt so. But everyone else she had left behind.
