Chapter 63: Hong Kong: Drop Dead

Sitting in his office, Alaric was deeply lost in thought to even hear Finn, who had just gotten in.

"Hey! Alaric," Finn called out for the third time, slamming some files on the desk. "It’s been two months, and there’s no way you’ll find those two."

Alaric leaned back on his seat, his eyes falling on Finn. "If you have nothing to do, get out."

Finn sighed, shaking his head in disbelief, as he watched his brother grow over obsessed each day, with finding the woman who had disappeared for two months now.

Ravenna and Nyx went missing that night after Nyx tricked the wolves-trio into going back and helping out in the war. Since then, no one had ever set an eye on them or had a clue of where they went off to.

"Both of them are equally cunning and good at fleeing. They won’t stay in one place and wait for you to track them down."

Alaric rubbed his temple in annoyance before slamming his desk. He was about to rash out on him when a knock came by and Luke got in.

"I found them," he informed with a subtle smile.

"What? Where? I mean, where are they?" Finn questioned, his mood drastically changed. He was excited but equally suspicious how the two ladies could be found thay fast. "I thought..."

"Shut up!" Alaric stood up, staring at Luke expectedly. It was very for him to show his emotions to others, but at that moment, something seemed to have clicked in him. Desperation? Desire? Whatever it was, he just wanted to find her. The woman he could not stop thinking about.

"They are in... Hong-Kong," Luke added his smile, spreading wider when he saw the look in Alaric’s eyes. "They got there a week ago and have been staying in... Lún Huí Club."

Finn chuckled before bursting out into laughter. Now he understood. Lún Huí was one of their club in Hong Kong, and probably the ladies did not know that. Some of Alaric’s men would have definitely seen them since all his workers had been assigned to look for them and immediately reported.

Alaric grabbed the file that Luke was holding, which had the entire information, and the more he read, the more his face turned dark as if he was about to burn someone alive.

When he was done, he threw the documents away and then matched towards the door.

Finn followed behind silently. He could guess what Alaric was up to. Going to Hong Kong to find his woman. Finn could not help but feel proud inwardly. His favourite person surely did not disappoint him. He would make sure to kowtow to her for making his ice cube brother travel over the countries just for her. Who else was this capable except for her?

As for his intention for following Alaric, it was to save a certain witch from his brother’s wrath. It was not like he liked her or anything. He was just protecting a precious weapon of theirs. Finn thought to himself and nodded in agreement.

"Wuuuu! I fucking love this Nyx!" Ravenna unceremoniously screamed on Nyx’s ear and continued sipping a bottle of balkan vodka, then continued dancing to the beat.

"Calm down, girl. Don’t get wasted again," Nyx chuckled, joining her on the floor.

Ravenna chuckled, remembering how, for the first time in her life, she got so drank after drinking for almost an entire night. That was a month ago in Los Angeles.

"I have a beautiful witch with me. Why do I have to worry about my safety?"

Nyx shook her head, smiling widely. "Wuuuuu! Then let’s get wasted till we drop dead."

And the partying continued till both of them could not drink anymore. It was almost dawn when they dragged each other to their room, which they had booked at Lún Huí.

"Nyyyyx! Nyyyyx! I looo..vee youuu the most," Ravenna dragged voice went on as she laid on the bed on her back, kicking her legs on the air.

"Boooo... I love you, Ven," Nyx murmured, also lying on the bed, but her body was across. Thus, her legs were on Ravenna’s stomach.

Out of nowhere, Ravenna burst into tears, her annoying wails filling the room. "I hate him... sooo much but... waaaa!"

Nyx froze before she changed her position and dragged herself to near Ravenna’s face that was already flushed red. Not that Nyx’s was any better.

"But... you miss him," She completed Ravenna’s statement, pouting her lips, as sadness replaced on her face.

Ravenna nodded her head continously her cries dying down a little. "I’m I crazy to still... love him," the last two words were a whisper but Nyx clearly heard her.

Nyx laid down on her back too beside Ravenna beofr saying, "You are not crazy at all. I admire you for putting up with that old King."

"He’s not old," Ravenna retorted instantly. "He’s..."

Nxy shut Ravenna’s mouth with her hand to stop her from saying anymore. "I really envy that vampire. Two women who love him immensely even though he does not deserve them."

Ravenna eyes went wide open in response before she pushed the hand from her mouth. "Two women? Who... is the second?... Is it... you? But you said you don’t... Ouch! Why did you kick me?"

Ravenna rubbed her butt as she stood up from the floor, glaring at Nyx grudgingly.

"Because you are uttering nonsense. I don’t like that ice cube even one bit. As for the other lady, she’s long dead so you don’t have to worry about someone co.peteing with you," Nyx explained her mind becoming clearer as if she was reminded of something, then whispered silently. "Jealous of even your old self."

"Old self? What old self?" Ravenna dropped herself in the bed, her eyes getting drowsy.

"It’s nothing. Let’s just sleep. I’m super... tired."

"Me... too," Ravenna added and they both slept off.
