Destroy My Life In You
Chapter 48: Bursted

Chapter 48: Bursted

Ravenna was still in her world of joy when she felt someone tap on her shoulder for now the third tim. She was too engrossed in playing and had ignored it the first and second time.

"What the hell do you... Seth! My pretty ace! You are her too," her voice was loud, almost louder than the music playing in the club.

"Of course, my pretty Raven. I missed you," Seth replied, grinning before he pulled a seat and sat on the side, beside Ravenna. "How are you doing?"

Ravenna pouted and blinked her eyes, feigning tears. "You abandoned me, and you expect me to be doing fine? Am not okay at all," her voice drastically changed to a saddened one, surprising Zeke, who almost choked on his saliva. The woman was a super hypocrite.

"Come here, don’t cry." Seth pulled her into a brief side hug before he withdrew and patted her hair.

Ravenna smiled before turning to Zeke, who was still in shock. "You should learn from your brothers how to treat a lady. I even wonder how you are related to them? Are you sure you aren’t adopted? Just look at Luke, so humble and cute. And you, always angry and grumpy... Huh! Why am I even surprised? After all, you are an old man who doesn’t..."

"I’ll kill her if she doesn’t shut up!" Zeke interrupted, pointing his index finger at Ravenna.

Seth burst into laughter as he watched his brother Clare at his favourite girl. "Bro, don’t take her seriously. She’s just doing it on purpose to piss you. That’s her strategy when she likes someone."

"Like who? I don’t like him at all," Ravenna retorted, pushing Seth away. "He once tried to kill me, I haven’t forgotten."

"You shot at my friend, " Zeke argued back, slamming his hand on the table.

Ravenna scoffed and dropped her cards at the table before turning to Zeke. "I was kidnapped. What was I supposed to do? Make friends with you? Or maybe clap and congratulate you for being my holder?"

"I wasn’t the one who brought you there."

"It doesn’t matter. You were also involved and even tried to..."

Seth pinched his nose bridge, regretting deeply ever coming to aid his brother. They seemed to be doing fine from his observation, and he wasn’t needed.

"You people can continue, I’ll take my leave." Before he could even stand up from his chair, two pairs of hands held him by the shoulders on both sides. "What now?"

He glanced at the two simultaneously. Ravenna was still sitting while Zeke had already moved to the side, holding Seth down.

"You can’t go. I need you to help me bring her back to the mansion," Zeke uttered, gritting his teeth in annoyance.

"I didn’t bring her here," Seth chuckled, glancing at Ravenna, whose attention was fully on his brother. She was glaring at him as if she could just tear him apart that moment.

"Leave him alone, my pretty ace," Ravenna pulled Seth towards her, her face all smiles then added, "Let’s have some fun, pretty ace. I know you miss the old days just like I do, so why don’t we make the most out of this rare day? Hmm?"

Seth was almost tempted to agree, but he knew better than to break Alaric’s rules. He had warned him to stay away from Ravenna for some time without explaining the reason, but now, the situation was such that only he could handle her.

"Some other day, pretty Raven. Alaric won’t..."

"No, I don’t want to hear anything about him... pretty ace, just one hour, and we will leave."

Seth sighed and looked at Zeke, who nodded at him. "Just one hour," Seth said, rubbing Ravenna’s hair playfully.

"Just one hour." The lady raised her one finger, indicating one, invisible stars twinkling in her eyes.

Zeke sighed, then also added, "Just one hour."

And there was a hint of anticipation from all the three after all the restraints the past few weeks. Now that they had a chance, why not utilise it to the fullest.

Hours had passed, and the three still couldn’t have enough. Cards, dancing, and drinks. This was the fun they had missed so badly, especially Ravenna and Seth, who were used to this kind of lifestyle. They used to sneak out of the camp and visit a club for an entire night and only return before dawn. Fortunately for them, they were never caught.

"Seth! Zeke! Look at me!" Ravenna’s voice rang in between the music, attracting the attention of the two men who were competing on who would finish a twelve glasses of everclear, the strongest drink ever, before the other.

Seth spat a mouthful of the alcohol while Zeke choked on it when they saw what the crazy girl was telling them to look.

"What are you doing there?"

"Ravenna!"

The two men spoke simultaneously as they watched in shock Ravenna swaying her body on a pole of the strippers in the middle of the dance floor. Her movements were incredibly bad, accompanied by her deafening loud screams.

"Aren’t I great? Seeettthhh! See this!"

She climbed on the pole, then dropped down slowly, then squatted before before standing up with a seductive gaze like she had seen those dancers do.

"Is she drunk?" Zeke was dumbfounded and felt like spouting blooding. He wondered what would happen if Alaric got a notch of what was going on there.

"I doubt it. She never gets drunk." Seth was in no better position. Not that he had never seen her go crazy like this before, but now, the situation was different. She Alaric’s woman, and he knew better than to let her mess around. They would all face the wrath of that man.

"Zeeeee! Come here, old man. Let me teach you how to dance!"

Zeke felt his blood, heat up, and only glared at her. He never thought the noisy girl would become this crazy once she was let off. Luckily, he had called up Seth, or else he didn’t know how he would handle her alone.

On the dance floor, Ravenna could not have enough and started shaking her butt aggressively and fast. Her movements were not even rhyming with the song and only danced for fun. Still lost in the hot air, she grabbed a glass of tequila on a nearby table, and gulped in down in one go, before she grabbed another one and another one, eight glasses.

Zeke watched in awe as she drink them like a sweet juice wondering how she could handle so much alcohol.

As if not having enough, Ravenna grabbed a whole bottle and went back to the dance floor. With one loud shout, she started dancing again while consuming her drink.

It was until she was just about to finish did she spot someone staring at her dangerously, as if he would kill her at that moment. His dark eyes bore holes on her skin making her shudder in fear that she ended up dropping the bottle on her foot, but the shock of seeing Alaric there overpowered her, and she couldn’t even feel the pain.

"Aaa... laric!" The name escaped her lips alerting the two men who were keenly watching her. They turned around and saw him, the walking doom dressed in all black ready to turn the place into a pool of blood.
