Demon Hunter and His Cabin
Chapter 487 - Chapter 487 Chapter 474 Lilith Awakens_2

Chapter 487: Chapter 474 Lilith Awakens_2 Chapter 487: Chapter 474 Lilith Awakens_2 It looked like an enlarged bat’s head with tiny green eyes, flashing terrifyingly fierce light through its pupils, and as its mouth split open, layers of sharp teeth were visible.

She had no nose bridge; instead, there were two thumb-sized holes on her cheeks, emitting an offensive smell with every breath she took.

“Camilla, to be honest, you really should cut off your own head.”

“It’s just too ugly!”

Rams’ abdomen emitted a mocking laugh.

“You still retain human aesthetics?” Camilla scoffed coldly.

“For Transcendents, strength is beauty.”

“Look at yourself, don’t you understand the significance of that sword?”

“How disappointing that you actually lost it.”

“It was an accident, nobody was supposed to be able to pick up that sword, if my plan had succeeded, I could have traveled to another place through that weapon.”

“Then, to open up the entire passage…”

“So you say, if.”

Heavy footsteps approached, and Kernon, with antlers atop his head, appeared.

“We’ve not only lost that sword, but we’ve also lost something more important; if the queen finds out…”

Kernon displayed a peculiar smile and fell silent.

“Clang clang clang!”

A crash was heard in the distance, followed by a massive grey figure spiraling in from outside the window.

Stone chips flew in all directions, leaving a pile of rubble on the hall floor.

“Idiots, gargoyles are brainless idiots!”

Camilla let out a delicate scold, and if one ignored her bizarre face, her voice could be quite charming.

Now there was a monster over three meters tall in the hall, with grey, stone-like skin, a muscular body, and emanating a cold breath.

“Who knows where Mowood has gone?”

“It seems like it’s been a long while since anyone has seen him.”

Kernon muttered to himself.

“The last time he said he’d found a spot where the dimensions are weak, said he was going to surprise the queen, but it’s been so long…” Rams shook his body.

To be fair, he did not wish to see any of his companions succeed, as it would make him appear more incompetent by contrast.

“We’ve all failed, so what do we do next?”

The gargoyle’s voice was like thunder, spouting stone chips and dust from its mouth.

Just then, the entire castle trembled, and thick, liquid-like black mist streamed into the room from all sides, causing everyone to freeze at first, then expressions of euphoria spread across their faces.

Rams knelt on one knee.

“My master, you have awakened!”

A new figure had appeared in the room.

Her skin was white as snow, she wore a silk robe, her dark hair was loose behind her, and she floated barefoot in mid-air.

Her delicate face had the same features as Anna’s, but their auras were worlds apart.

The Queen of the Night, Lilith.

Lilith drifted down from the air like a dandelion seed, and underneath her, the ground writhed as a twisted creature emerged from it to catch the descending Lilith.

“My queen, the wound on your body…”

Camilla stopped herself.

Lilith lifted her left hand, “It was truly an accident; I’ve found what I lost.”

She clenched her fist.

“Master, please open the penetration passage so I can celebrate your return with blood,” Rams said, bowing.

“No, no need,” Lilith shook her head. “I’ve changed my mind.”

“A hundred years have passed, the changes in this world are astonishing, and we too must change our strategy.”

“Go prepare, this time I am going to do something special.”

She rose from her skeletal throne, and as she stepped forward, the throne beneath her changed its form, a creature with a long tail lay prostrated on the ground.

It was a creature with two horns on its head, limbs on the ground, wings on its back, and covered in fine scales.

Even more sinister was the face that appeared between its horns.

Lilith sat sideways on the creature’s back, grabbed one of its curved horns, and looked at the face appearing on its forehead, whispering, “One hundred years have passed, will he come back?”

“Roar!”

The creature let out a fierce roar, and the face on the forehead twisted menacingly.

“Leave him to me, I will tear him apart with my own hands!”

Lilith let out a carefree laugh. “Now he is the renowned Knight Commander.”

Touching her forehead with her index finger, Lilith appeared to be searching for something. “What an unexpected surprise, stop struggling, little one, you are all mine!”

“To become a part of me is your greatest honor.”

The midday sun was somewhat dazzling, but Gawain revealed a hint of enjoyment on his face as he liked basking in the sunlight.

“Mr. Mist, I’ve arrived. Where are you?”

Gawain answered the phone in his hand.

At this moment, he was standing in the square of a seaside city in Faku.

The surroundings were bustling with crowds, including couples taking photos together and elderly couples sitting on benches next to the fountain.

It was certainly the time to enjoy the good times.

“Turn around, there’s a red house at the end of the street. Go there, I’ll be waiting for you.”

Roger’s voice came through the phone.

“Alright.”

Gawain hung up the phone, clutching the leather bag in his hand as he turned and walked towards the end of the street.

He stood in front of the house with huge ‘for sale’ signs in the windows and a string of phone numbers below, the door opened, and Gawain walked straight in.

The house was empty, without furniture, without people.

He frowned, a hint of warning rising in his heart, just as the phone in his hand rang again.

“Mr. Mist, you’re not here; I don’t think this is a joke.”

Gawain gripped the leather bag in his hand tightly.

“Don’t hurry.”

A voice came from upstairs.

Gawain raised his head, watching as a figure slowly descended from the stairs.

“You…”

He was somewhat surprised. As a top Third Tier Transcendent, it would have been ridiculous not to be able to distinguish whether someone was in the room.

But now…

“What’s wrong?”

Roger hung up the phone with a smile, “Did you bring the things?”

Gawain nodded, opened his bag, and took out four items.

Roger inspected each item, then nodded in satisfaction.

All the while, Gawain stood to the side, observing Roger’s actions, the calm on his face gradually breaking.

“You’ve gained a lot of strength!”

Since the Baron Iron Tower incident, this was the first time the two had met in person. Although Gawain’s understanding of Roger’s capabilities was somewhat vague at the beginning…

With the last battle as a reference, he had a baseline in his mind. But this time, Gawain could sense Mr. Mist was much stronger than before!

There was even a trace of the oppression that usually belonged to the Fourth Tier.

Roger was pleased with Gawain’s surprise, and while releasing his own power, he was also sensing Gaewain’s depths.

If this guy was only on the same level as Lancelot, then after getting what he wanted, Roger wouldn’t mind doing something extra.

However, he quickly detected a subtle air about Gawain.

If it weren’t for the ‘Pale Blood’ Penetration he had forged within himself, he might not have even noticed it.

Gawain’s pure fighting power should still only be at the peak of the Third Tier, at most slightly stronger than Lancelot.

It was within Roger’s expectations.

If a fight were to break out…

Roger believed he had a very good chance of winning. However, it appeared Gawain was hiding something else.

Something dangerous.

Roger’s heart grew cautious, silently suppressing the malice that had been rising.

“No problem, these are indeed what I wanted.”

Roger collected the items on the table into a Storage Box next to him, then placed the four items inside it.

He closed the lid of the box and stood up.

“I’ll think about your invitation from last time.”

“Pleasure doing business.”

Gawain’s face was stiff as he nodded. He walked slowly to the door, a sudden thought shooting through his mind.

He turned back.

“Mr. Mist…”

The room was empty.

Gawain hastened forward, then searched the entire room at the fastest speed possible.

He flipped open the storage box on the floor–to find it empty as well.

Just then, a voice came from outside, “Please come in to have a look, this house is our company’s…”

“Eh?”

“Who are you?” a bald man in a suit asked Gawain.

Gawain was just as bewildered, with only one thought in his mind.

How did he do it?

Sweat trickled down unnoticed.
