Chapter 486: Chapter 474: Lilith Awakens Chapter 486: Chapter 474: Lilith Awakens “Where did you get this information from?”
Roger glanced at Gawain, “As an ordinary Heritage Knight, you seem to know a little too much.”
However, Gawain did not answer Roger’s question.
“Radiant Knights are not as simple as they appear. If I can get some information, naturally, I have my own channels.”
“Mr. Mist, are you really not reconsidering?”
“Even though you’ve obtained a portion of the Pale Blood, it still belongs to the Soul Devourer. Moreover, in terms of the total amount, that portion of Pale Blood is not enough to allow you to breakthrough to the Fourth Tier.”
“Am I right?”
Roger did not answer, but Gawain seemed to have already known the answer.
“You need more, purer Pale Blood, and there’s no better place than there.”
“Besides, the treasures I mentioned aren’t without basis. Just think about Green’s rise.”
Roger pondered for a moment. He was definitely going to the world of Snow White, but he did not want to go with Gawain.
This guy didn’t seem particularly strong, but his origins were unclear and deeply hidden. Even by his own admission, before coming to this world, his rank might have already reached Tier 5.
Compared to the current Roger, that was a whole two levels above. He wasn’t sure if getting too close to Gawain would reveal too many flaws.
This guy was just too mysterious.
Roger preferred to explore other channels.
Originally, he could have used the identity of Bedivere, but now the Sword of the Sun was shattered, and Bedivere’s Inheritance Core had disappeared.
And posing as Lancelot was too risky; at this critical moment, he probably couldn’t escape Green’s watchful eyes.
“Have you found a way into that world?” Roger probed tentatively.
Gawain smiled without saying a word.
“This is something I’ve been investigating for a long time. The channel is not stable yet, but I don’t think it will take too long…”
“Each channel can only withstand so much pressure. Mr. Mist, I hope you will seriously consider my advice.”
“Opportunities like this are rare.”
Gawain nodded to Roger.
“We’ll meet again in a few days.” Having said that, he disconnected the communication.
“This guy…”
If Gawain was seeking benefits for the entire Foreign Spirit Assembly, Roger would never believe such a claim.
“Wants to make others his cannon fodder, huh?”
Dense mist poured in through the window behind him as Roger blew out the white candle on the table and sunk into deep thought.
Leaving the Mist Hut, he entered directly into the Graveyard Cabin. In the Fairy Tale World, Amanda curled up, her knees to her forehead, her whole body trembling.
Red Dragon Scales emitted a fiery red luster, enveloping her, and between the tremors, energy exchanged between them.
Roger quietly observed for a while, sensing that the purity of Amanda’s bloodline was increasing at an unimaginable speed.
“Is the effect of the dragon scale really so good, or is Amanda’s talent special?”
As the purity of her bloodline increased, Amanda underwent drastic changes, both mentally and physically.
Without disturbing her, Roger quietly left the Fairy Tale World.
Next, he needed to prepare for his meeting with Gawain in a few days, while another vague plan began to emerge in his mind.
…
Dark mist roiled, a castle almost merging with the darkness.
Only when one drew nearer did it become apparent that the color of the entire castle was red, its outer walls like dried bloodstains, their vitality stripped away, leaving only a dark base color.
The surfaces of the walls were covered with twisted and fearsome faces and limbs, humans, dryads, beasts, and many peculiar creatures.
More disgusting was the sight of these bodies entwining and merging with one another, a dryad with two heads sprouting from its chest, a beast with teeth filling its eye sockets, the distortion and mutations constantly occurring.
The whole castle appeared to be a writhing chunk of flesh.
Somewhere inside the castle, a dark, tall figure kneeled before a heap of graves.
“Respected master, my queen, please bestow upon me the blade for battle!”
The figure’s pale armor blazed with green flames. He had no head, and from his abdominal cavity, a dull and servile prayer emerged.
“Have mercy on me, your knight, Rams!”
Rams bent forward, the blood scar on his neck suddenly splitting open, and a gush of blood sprayed forth, dousing the graves before him.
Instantly, it seemed as though countless creatures were struggling to burst forth from within the graves, and at the same time, wails of agony resounded throughout the castle.
The next second, a fountain of blood gushed from the slit at the top of the grave mound, mingling with the blood Rams had just splattered.
Gradually, a sword formed from the blood emerged, and Rams rose to his feet, his shoulders quivering as if he were emitting a satisfied laugh.
“Thank you for your gift, my master.”
Rams grasped the bloody longsword.
“May you have sweet dreams in your eternal slumber…”
“Pfft…”
A laugh suddenly came from behind.
“What are you talking about?”
A somewhat coquettish female voice followed, “Do you think the master enjoys being in slumber?”
“Are you not aware of why we are here?”
As Rams gripped the blood-colored longsword and turned around, a winged woman approached, her significant parts modestly adorned with scant fabric.
To say she was a woman was solely because of her physical characteristics. From her toes to her neck, barring the wings on her back, she was an unequivocal beauty.
Her figure was voluptuous and enticing, but looking further up from the neck, she bore a fierce and hairy face.
