Demon Hunter and His Cabin
Chapter 430 - Chapter 430 Chapter 430 Abrahams Preparation

Chapter 430: Chapter 430 Abraham’s Preparation Chapter 430: Chapter 430 Abraham’s Preparation Kelham.

A quiet seaside town.

One hundred years ago, it had been under the domain of a Great Noble. Due to its remote location and lack of information, the town’s urban development lagged behind that of the surrounding areas.

However, the lack of factories meant the town’s environment and geographical structure were preserved to the greatest extent.

Gradually, it became a sanctuary for tourists.

There were towering churches and mottled castles, even the streets at the town’s center bore traces of the scenery from a century past.

Walking down these streets, it felt as though one had traveled back in time to the last century.

As night fell, the hustle and bustle of the day faded, leaving the town with the stillness of a lake.

“I’m sorry, but we’ve closed for the day.”

At a street-side cafe, a middle-aged man with a beard was wiping a glass, saying so without lifting his head.

“I’m here to meet an old friend.”

The speaker was a young man, but his eyes betrayed a weariness beyond his years.

The middle-aged man looked up, briefly startled.

“Soul Devourer?”

“What’s been going on lately?”

“Folks we’d usually not see for years are showing up all the time now.”

“Henry!”

Just then, a car pulled up outside the door, and a woman rolled down the window, shouting towards the man inside the cafe.

She was a fairly attractive woman, about thirty years old, with wavy hair and light makeup on her face, radiating happiness from the wrinkles at the corners of her eyes.

“Melissa, go ahead with the kids. I’ve got a guest coming from far away!” Henry shouted back loudly.

Standing at the door, Abraham turned back in surprise and saw through the car window not only the woman but also two children, about seven or eight years old.

“You actually went and got married and had children like ordinary people?”

Amazement filled Abraham’s eyes.

“There’s nothing strange about it.”

“Because of our racial attributes, we can’t have great combat strength. Rather than leading a life of hiding in the Transcendent World, it’s better to try adapting to ordinary life.”

“Although this body had no base, it’s extremely compatible with my soul, and this new try-out has opened up a new path for me.”

Henry wiped his hands, walked over to lock the cafe door, drew the curtains, and took a seat at a table, looking at the young and vigorous Abraham.

“You’ve switched to a new body.”

“And it seems you’re not far from reaching the Fourth Tier — congratulations,” Henry said with genuine joy.

“You mentioned others came here before me. Who else has been here?”

“Black Soul, Paladin, Shadow, Shark, and a few others.”

“They came here to trade something with me. I have no interest in increasing my strength now, and I’ve traded several things with them.”

“Especially Black Soul, the fruit he gave me is useless for a Transcendent, but it can transform the body of an ordinary person when consumed.”

He showed a nostalgic smile.

“I’m very satisfied with this transaction.”

“Too bad, Soul Devourer, you’re too late. I have nothing good left to offer.”

Henry shrugged his shoulders.

“This way, I’ve completely detached myself from the Transcendent World. I’m truly done with being hunted.”

Henry stood up after saying this.

“Are you planning to go out for a drink with me as an ordinary man, or?”

Abraham did not move, but instead looked intently at Henry.

“Our trade hasn’t even begun yet.”

“Trade?” the guy asked incredulously. “Did you not hear me clear enough? I have nothing of value left in my possession.”

“I have some ordinary trinkets left, but you’re probably not interested in those.”

Abraham shook his head. “I don’t want your belongings,” he tapped his forehead with a finger.

“I need some information from your brain…”

“For instance, the identities of the Foreign Spirit Assembly members and their specific areas of activity!”

Henry might not have been a strong fighter, but he was an expert in the Ritual Array. To be precise, he was one of the earliest core Founders of the Foreign Spirit Assembly.

Having been around the longest, he knew each member’s temperament and abilities the best. So after hearing what Abraham had to say, he instantly understood something.

“Soul Devourer, what are you planning to do?”

“That’s not something you should be concerned about.”

“Equivalent exchange, don’t forget our principles,” Henry challenged.

“Those are your principles, not mine!”

“I have only one principle: take what you want by force!” Abraham clenched his fist.

“You’re planning to attack the members of the Foreign Spirit Assembly in secret and take their treasures?”

Abraham didn’t answer, but a sinister smile spread across his lips.

Henry, rather than getting angry, laughed.

“What do you plan to exchange?”

Abraham spread his hands.

“Your life, and the lives of your wife and children.”

“Is that enough?”

“What if I refuse?!”

Henry snorted coldly, but the next second, his vision blurred. Abraham’s body had teleported across nearly ten meters, his fingers igniting with a pale flame.

Overwhelming pressure assaulted him, and Henry felt as if his soul had sunk into a quagmire. In that moment of distraction, Abraham’s hand, ablaze with flame, had already seized his skull!

“Whether you refuse or agree, the outcome is the same to me.”

Abraham’s voice whispered by Henry’s ear, thin as a snake slithering into his ear canal and coiling in his brain, gnawing away at his memories bit by bit.

“Soul Devourer.”

“Our code names are both our names and our identities!”

“It’s a pity you chose the wrong answer.”

“Not just you, but your beautiful wife and lovely children will pay the price for your choice!”

Henry’s body went rigid. As time passed, it felt as though his soul had been frozen, his awareness lost, his consciousness stripped away.

Before he completely lost consciousness, he managed to regain a moment of lucidity.

“Spare them!”

As the light of reason left his eyes, Henry’s soul was devoured, and his slightly overweight body fell to the ground, becoming a lifeless husk.

“Poor fellow.”

Abraham burped contentedly, digesting the information he had just acquired.

“Fallen Transcendents, this world is so cruel; relax even slightly, and you’re nothing but food for others!”

Soon after, Abraham opened his eyes, having sorted out the information he wanted.

He left through the back door, the streets of the town were silent.

“Three left, since I’ve made a promise, I shouldn’t go back on my word.” His fingers flicked, and a wisp of black smoke rose. The smoke circled around Abraham, seemingly receiving some message.

Then it cheerfully broke free from Abraham’s control and disappeared into the night.
