Demon Hunter and His Cabin
Chapter 422 - Chapter 422 Chapter 422 Gains and Improvements (6)

Chapter 422: Chapter 422: Gains and Improvements (6) Chapter 422: Chapter 422: Gains and Improvements (6) The Sword of the Sun burst into intense radiance, its flames so scorching that even the golden blade turned white.

Clad in thick White Bone Armor, Rams was caught off guard by Roger’s cunningly angled strike, which sliced through a gap in the armor.

Roger’s own strength, combined with the full burst of the Sword of the Sun, while not as strong as when he wielded the Cursed Sword, made him extremely powerful among those of the Third Tier.

Caught completely unawares, by the time Rams reacted, half of his arm had already been severed.

With a roar of rage, his robust body tried to force its way out of the void, but just then, the Space Gate he had partially destroyed shrank violently inwards.

Rams could only watch as his arm was chopped off by Roger, his weapon falling to the ground with it.

“What’s going on? The Space Gate was clearly open!”

He roared in frustration.

“My arm, my weapon!”

“Haha, Rams, you fool!”

Kernon mocked, “The newly formed passage was extremely fragile and needed my spells to reinforce it. Sadly, your rashness destroyed it all.”

The dark mist churned; despite Rams having no head, Roger felt as if a pair of gloomy eyes were staring intently at him.

Roger smiled indifferently, picking up the Longsword from Rams’s severed limb.

“Nice weapon, I’ll take it.”

“Just you wait, when the Black Tide comes, I will find you first…”

“I’m looking forward to it.”

Roger wasn’t yet a match for Rams, but having obtained the Hart Spirit’s Horn, all he needed was to complete the Dream Trials.

Then, no one below the Fourth Tier would be his match!

Hiss!

The space closed, and everything returned to normal.

“Headless Knight Rams, Dark Deer Head Spirit Kernon…”

“And a few other guys…”

Gaheris let out a sigh, sitting down wearily on the ground.

“By the way, did you see Yebeni?”

Gareth suddenly asked.

Roger shook his head, “After being blown away, I figured out the direction and rushed here first thing.”

“Forget it, that guy has definitely run away by now.”

Gaheris waved his hand dismissively. Although they had resolved the crisis with the Deerhead Spirit, they had uncovered even greater secrets during this mission.

“Regarding the Queen of the Night, that’s from over a hundred years ago, even within the Knights it’s considered core classified information.”

“Take Tristan and let’s get out of here.”

Gareth nodded, shouldering Tristan; of everyone present, Roger was the one whose combat strength had been preserved the best.

Reaching down to pick up the weapon on the ground, Roger paused — black smoke swirled around the blade, which seemed somewhat similar to the Cursed Sword in his hand.

However, Roger could sense the construction within the weapon; although excellent, it was far inferior to the Cursed Sword, yet there was some connection between the two.

“Strange, what exactly caused the agitation in the Cursed Sword?”

“If it wasn’t Rams, then what could it be?”

They hadn’t gone far before encountering the Round Table Knights who had come to investigate; surrounded by many knights, the group returned to their base in Dublin.

Tristan was sent away for healing, and the two Gareth brothers didn’t rest, contacting the Knight’s Association in Mist City immediately.

Roger had no interest in these matters and rushed back to the manor, plunging headfirst into his Shadow Cottage.

The Sword of the Sun had separated, and two similarly shaped pitch-black longswords lay on the table, one wreathed in black smoke on its surface, the other appearing far more sinister.

The next moment, the two weapons collided on their own, emitting a strange sound at the point of impact, as if the swords were alive and each was struggling to consume the other!

Clearly, it was Roger’s Cursed Sword that had the upper hand.

As time ticked by, the two weapons completed their final fusion, the dark energy swirling around the blade surging to the heavens, which would have surely drawn the attention of nearby Transcendents if it weren’t for being inside the Hunter’s Cabin.

“Looks like I can’t use it openly anymore.”

The stronger the weapon, the more restrictive it seemed to become.

Roger attempted to use the Sword of the Sun to encapsulate the Cursed Sword again, but as the golden blade began to cover it, a black light burst forth from the Cursed Sword.

It was as if two supreme beings were defending their dignity.

“It can only be used in desperate situations.”

Roger was not disheartened but instead stored the Cursed Sword in the Storage Box. His strength was limited now, but after completing the Dream Trials, the situation might change.

Then he fished out three small items from his pocket.

These were the things that fell from Yebeni’s body after it disappeared.

[Snuff Bottle]: Burn the soul to release an odorless, invisible smoke. Depending on the quality of the soul burned, it can release smoke with different properties such as fear, aphrodisiac, bewitchment, and more.

“What is this supposed to be?”

“A Transcendent’s poisonous item?”

Roger continued to examine the items.

[Spring of Emerald]: Stimulates mental vitality, accelerates the recovery of spiritual power, and can enhance bodily functions. With a sufficient amount, it can even cause regrowth of lost limbs.

Roger thought of the liquid Yebeni had drunk the second time he activated the Array. Estimating the leftovers, he figured there were about five drops left in the bottle.

Even if it might not regenerate lost limbs, drinking it during severe injuries would undoubtedly speed up the body’s recovery.

This was an unexpected surprise.

The last item, however, was a bit peculiar–it was a tetrahedral die with a strange name.

[Performer]

Each face of the tetrahedron had corresponding patterns: a heart, a claw, fur, and an animal horn!

Looking at the patterns, Roger seemed to understand something.

No wonder that Yebeni was so eager to get the Hart Spirit’s Horn–the other three facets were emitting a faint glow, only missing the last animal horn.

Once he completed the last piece, he would be able to activate this Cursed Item and transform into a powerful creature.

The Hart Spirit’s Horn had already shattered into several pieces, but Roger could choose to hunt other creatures to complete the missing part.

But after thinking it over, Roger decided to abandon that idea.

Yebeni’s death had nothing to do with him, and nothing related to him could leave the Hunter’s Cabin, so Roger submitted the other two Cursed Items, excluding the Spring of Emerald.

“Hand them over!”

The Hunter’s Cabin shook slightly, the duration of the trembling exceptionally long this time. After a while, when the shaking stopped, a vast spiritual power flooded into his mind.

The funnel-shaped Array rotated, two light spots already lit up on it. With a thought, Roger controlled the spiritual power pouring into his mind.

He didn’t want an even distribution, this time he wanted to try enhancing Quinn or Alder on top of the already strengthened base!

Just bringing any Dharma Seal to level 3 should bring about a revolutionary change!
