Demon Hunter and His Cabin
Chapter 310 - Chapter 310 Chapter 310 Privy Council

Chapter 310: Chapter 310: Privy Council Chapter 310: Chapter 310: Privy Council Blair County.

Roger and Goway returned to the city, where they once again visited the clock shop they had been to before. They were received by the same plump middle-aged woman as before.

“Everything went smoothly, that thing should not reappear for a while.”

Goway concealed part of the truth, aware that the weapon in Roger’s hands must be related to the Cursed Sword, but since Roger had played a major role in the fight,

even losing his weapon in the process, Goway turned a blind eye.

“With this mission complete, your rank can be raised by one level again,”

the middle-aged woman said with a smile.

“Do you plan to rest for a bit, or would you like to take on another mission?”

Thinking it over, Goway answered, “Help me contact Grace, I have something I need to discuss with him.”

A look of surprise flashed in the middle-aged woman’s eyes.

“It’s unlike you to seek him out. Not long ago, he was inquiring about you with me.”

Listening to their conversation, Roger wandered around the room, listlessly.

The space in the clock shop was not very large, and it was filled with clocks of various sizes, forcing Roger to watch his step as he moved.

“Ding-dong!”

A small bird popped out from one of the clocks, and to Roger’s surprise, the bird tilted its head human-like and blinked when it saw him.

“Is this thing actually alive?”

“Don’t make eye contact with its eyes,”

Goway cautioned from behind him, “That little thing loves to play tricks on people.”

She glanced at Roger, her face reflecting a moment’s discomfort.

“My brother will be here soon. The weapon we saw indeed belongs to the Headless Knight, and the Headless Knight hasn’t appeared for many years.”

“This is cause for our vigilance.”

“Your brother?”

Roger ventured the question.

“He’s part of the Privy Council, one of the members of the Round Table Knight Order. In terms of status, he’s just below the captain of the Round Table Knights.”

“He can be a bit peculiar, so if he offends you later, I hope you won’t take it to heart.”

Roger grinned.

“Why would I?”

Relieved at this response, Goway breathed a sigh of relief.

“Those who offend me usually get the favor returned, right to their face,”

Roger said cheerfully, “Of course, only within the limits of my own strength.”

Goway’s smile froze on her face, but upon seeing the expression in Roger’s eyes, she immediately realized she was being teased by him.

“Tell me about this Privy Council and the so-called Round Table Knight Order.”

To avoid Goway losing her temper, Roger changed the subject.

Sure enough, Goway’s attention shifted immediately.

“The Privy Council is Eld’s official Transcendent organization, in fact, it’s a vast influence not limited to Eld itself, but with strong influence throughout Europe.”

“Under the Privy Council is the Round Table Knight Order, a special agency responsible for dealing with transcendent issues, and apart from the leader of the Knight Order, there are 12 Knights of the Round Table.”

“The ‘Round Table’ here doesn’t solely represent the historical Knights of the Round Table, it carries a deeper meaning.”

“The Round Table represents the Full Moon.”

“These 12 Knights of the Round Table are equivalent to fighters at the Full Moon level of combat power. Of course, among them, there are Witches, Magicians, Blood Hunters, and Exorcists.”

Goway’s eyes sparkled.

“The 12 deputy leaders manage 12 regions, coordinating with each other when necessary, and in a short time, they can gather more than three Full Moon-level fighters if needed!”

Roger nodded frequently as he listened.

The Transcendent Forces of Eld seemed to be much more formal and unified than those on the side of Bordeaux.

Their division of responsibilities was clearer, and they had a strict hierarchy; it appeared that within the Transcendent World, there were distinctions between regions and nations as well.

Europe was dotted with countries of varying sizes, and Eld was just one of them. Although these countries had different territories in the real world, within the Transcendent World,

they were all part of a much more powerful Transcendent organization.

Privy Council.

Moreover, within the Privy Council, the conflicts between various Transcendent Occupations weren’t as intense as in Armenia.

This might be because Armenia was a newer nation, which, from the perspective of the real world, had developed for nearly 300 years.

But from the perspective of the Transcendent World, compared to the various European countries, Armenia was clearly much younger, and its conflicts might also be more intense.

“This sounds like King Arthur’s Twelve Knights of the Round Table.”

A hint of curiosity sparkled on Roger’s face.

Goway nodded.

“The Twelve Knights of the Round Table did indeed exist, and in fact, on the day of their investiture ceremony, all Transcendents who became Round Table Knights would forget their original names.”

“From that day forward, their selves would disappear, and they would inherit the name and power of one of the Twelve Knights of the Round Table, and continue to pass down their virtues and influence!”

“Inherited their names… and their power?”

A flicker of astonishment crossed Roger’s eyes.

“Can powers between different Transcendents also be inherited?”

“I’m not entirely clear on the specifics.”

Goway furrowed her brow, “There must be a ritual of inheritance, but in any case, every Round Table Knight grows into a powerful being not long after their investiture ceremony.”

“However, there must also be drawbacks to such inheritance.”

“As far as I know, of the twelve Knights who received the inheritance, none has been able to break through the Full Moon level of combat power.”

“But even so, that’s still a remarkable existence.”

A complex emotion flickered in Goway’s eyes.

But Roger remained calm.

Full Moon level combat power used to be unattainable, but now, Roger’s own combat strength had reached the peak of the New Moon level.

He wasn’t far from the next stage either.

Of course, Roger didn’t become arrogant because of this, after all, Full Moon was different from Full Moon, and the gap between two stages was immense.

“Ding ding dong!”

As they were speaking, the wind chimes at the door jingled, followed by a tall young man wearing a sharp suit appearing in the clock shop.

He had radiant blonde hair like the sun, steadfast eyes, a high nose, and lips pressed together, showing stubbornness and a reluctance to communicate.

But it must be said that he was a remarkably handsome man.

Upon seeing Goway, a flicker of joy appeared in the man’s eyes, but his facial expression remained as cold as before, and the words that came out of his mouth were not particularly pleasant.

“Do not forget your origins; you’re actually associating with those Treasure Hunters.”

He said this while giving Roger, who stood beside him, a glance.

In his heart, Roger had already become a despicable and greedy Treasure Hunter.

“I called you here because there’s something I need to tell you.”

Goway’s face turned cold in an instant.

With a helpless shake of his head, Roger thought, if they weren’t a family, they wouldn’t have stepped into this household. The communicative skills of these siblings were equally… terrible.

He certainly didn’t want to be subjected to others’ scorn and ridicule. He shrugged his shoulders and stepped aside.
