Demon Hunter and His Cabin -
Chapter 300 - Chapter 300 Chapter 300 Changes
Chapter 300: Chapter 300 Changes Chapter 300: Chapter 300 Changes Night had fallen.
The town was peaceful and quiet in the evening, with residents visible on the street returning from their merry drinks at the bar.
Roger stood by the window, his amber eyes sweeping across everything.
“No abnormalities.”
“It seems that in ordinary cities, the proportion of non-human races is not as high as imagined.”
He focused his attention, heard steady breathing coming from the next room, and with a silent thought, Roger’s figure disappeared and reappeared at the Mist Hut.
He took a lantern out of the Storage Box, the pale flame burning quietly.
Roger took a deep breath, and a copious amount of energy spilled from it before he absorbed it into his body.
A few minutes later, he slowly opened his eyes.
The internal injuries left from the previous battle had completely vanished, and his overall condition had reached its peak.
Beyond that, Roger also noticed the changes brought about by the hidden white network within his body.
He had a premonition before, and after experimenting, the change became even more apparent.
“The strength of the Igni Dharma Seal has increased a lot.”
“If I were to absorb all of the remaining Pale Blood, would the Dharma Seal rise another level?”
By that time, Roger felt he could even go undercover as a Magician.
He didn’t rashly absorb the remaining Pale Blood, knowing that too much of a good thing can be bad, and Roger suppressed the impulse in his heart until he understood the correct way to use it.
After all, the effects derived from direct use of Transcendent Materials and those that had undergone processing through rituals and Potions were completely different.
The white network had already spread throughout his entire body, wholly replacing the previous red muscles. At this point in time, Roger’s physical quality, judging solely by bodily strength, was several times stronger than before he had undergone the Green Grass Trial!
The Igni Dharma Seal in his mind lit up slightly, the symbols on his palms flickered, and the power of the Dharma Seal was ready to be unleashed.
A ball of fire ascended.
“Pfft!”
Roger clenched his fist, and the flame in his hand was extinguished.
“The power of a Magician is evident.”
Powerful, swift.
After preparing the necessary Potions, Roger took out the Witch’s Sword of the Waning Moon. Although he couldn’t explain it to Goway, when compared, security was still more important.
Having done all this, he returned once again to the real world.
He picked up his phone and dialed Henrik’s number with a newly registered SIM card.
“This is my new number.”
To Roger’s surprise, this time there were no eerie sounds coming through the phone.
“So obedient, that’s not quite your usual style,” Roger joked with a laugh.
“Tired.”
Henrik’s voice was tinged with weariness, and then he became serious.
“Something strange has happened to me, no, it should be said to my spirit.”
“I suspect it has something to do with the Green Grass Trial you mentioned.”
Roger’s heart tightened.
“Last night, when I was with Ingmar, I proposed a special position.”
“Cough cough.”
Roger coughed dryly.
“I thought we were discussing serious matters.”
“That’s exactly what I’m doing; let me finish,” Henrik continued.
“I’ve suggested it many times before, but only this time did she actually agree.”
“Because when I made the invitation, the spiritual power in my mind formed a strange pattern, a special shape like a triangle.”
Roger’s heart stirred.
“Axis?!”
“So you do know.”
Henrik exhaled deeply.
But there was something curious about Roger, who had acquired his Dharma Seal entirely from his own cultivation, yet here, Henrik had spontaneously awakened.
This was truly bizarre.
“Tell me in detail.”
Through Henrik’s description, Roger understood the cause and effect, just as he had speculated, the Axis Dharma Seal had formed spontaneously in Henrik’s mind.
“There’s another thing, at the moment when my spiritual power mutated, I broke through my current stage.”
“I’m now a Blood Hunter.”
“Essence Blood is generated within my body, and I need to use breathing and specific physical exercises to incite the surging of my bloodline and purify it.”
Henrik was somewhat worried, unclear whether the spiritual mutation would have any impact on his own bloodline.
“That should be a normal change brought on by the Green Grass Trial, I can teach you a simple meditation technique.”
“You can try to practice it.”
“Notify me immediately if you discover anything.”
Roger instructed.
The two discussed the changes in Bordeaux, with Roger particularly concerned about Abraham’s whereabouts, being able to hide in a place with deep concentration for 30 years.
Such an enemy was too dangerous.
Could he have transferred to another body?
Roger was somewhat concerned.
Nevertheless, the body he had specifically prepared, although not mature, essentially met Abraham’s requirements and he should not easily switch again.
Maybe there was an opportunity to try that ritual, the thought crossed Roger’s mind, normal people couldn’t find Abraham’s whereabouts, but what about those at the Foreign Spirit Assembly?
If his location were confirmed, the Hunters Guild would probably be eager to “communicate” with Abraham.
A night passed without words.
The next day hadn’t even dawned when Goway knocked on Roger’s door.
The two didn’t take a car but found a horse dealer in the town instead.
The village Goway spoke of was deep in the forest, where few people trod, and riding horses would actually be faster.
“Does it have a name?”
Roger chose a chestnut horse.
“Paige.”
The horse owner replied.
“Now that’s an unfortunate name.”
“If it were up to me, I’d call it Radish.”
After paying, the two rode into the forest, where it was still dim as the sun had not yet risen.
Goway didn’t take the roads flattened by cars, but rode directly up the mountain, with Roger closely behind. By the time the sun rose, they were a significant distance away from the town.
“Huff…”
Goway exhaled and took off the necklace around her neck.
Roger noticed that upon entering the forest, the green in Goway’s eyes became purer, and she looked more vibrant.
“The outskirts of this forest are still open to ordinary people, but deeper within there is an invisible barrier that separates two worlds.”
“Transcendent, reality.”
“Is this a Cursed Land?”
“You could say that,” replied Goway.
Goway, reciting a Spell, led Roger into another world.
Looking around, there was an endless expanse of green with many unseen animals and plants scattered among it, making Roger feel like he had entered a world out of a fairy tale.
Soothing his mount, they continued onward and when the sun was nearly at its peak, smoke curled lazily into the air revealing a village ahead.
“We’ve arrived.”
They tied the horses at the village entrance’s hitching post, and Goway led Roger into the Dryad village.
“Ping!”
As soon as they entered the village, the wooden door of a nearby house was flung open and a green figure shot out, crashing toward the passing Goway!
