Chapter 63: LEO

"I’m fine for now" Kakashi looked around, it didn’t look like he killed it. But using his lightening technique and an holy blade to cut the demon’s insides made it weak and unable to recover. "I was not able to dispatch the demon, my sword is too short to cut it’s weak spot and I couldn’t cut a way out. I’m out of karma so I won’t be able to do anything for a while"

*SLASH!*

Suddenly, a slashing sound followed by flesh being ripped apart. Kakashi looked up while Leo clinged onto him.

"Hey!. Do you need help?" A young man who should be around nineteen called out.

"Of course we need help, what do you think we’re doing here?" Kakashi yelled.

"It’s Kinda shameful to see you in this condition, Akatsuki clone" Russell said and jumped into the monster through the opening.

Kakashi quickly took off his shirt and used it to cover Leo.

"Put it on. It might not be able to cover up your back but it’ll work well on the front"

Leo held his shirt tighter. "Thanks"

The young man jumped into the monster and unsheathed one of his broad sword and raised it above his head.

The sword was surprisingly slim with toothed blade like that of a chainsaw

"Kenji sword technique, first form: single slash!" The young man swung his sword with great force, forcing his body to follow the sword as it lit up with light karma, sending a unbelievable force of karma energy and cutting through the demon with just one slash.

He landed on his feet and sheathed his sword as the demon slowly turned into ash.

_Did he just say Kenji_ Kakashi thought and decided to approach the man. "Hey, I..."

**cough, cough**

Kakashi suddenly felt dizzy and fell on his knees, coughed out blood before passing out.

"I was never a good brother to him, and I just wish I was able to see him for the last time to tell him, ’I’m sorry’, but I believe in you; I know you won’t let our deaths go to waste. I want you to find the Kenji clan. And I want you to be his elder brother."

Kakashi finally woke up.

"I thought you were never going to wake up" Leo said holding Kakashi’s hand, rubbing it gently.

"Wh... Where am I?"

"You’re in our room, dummy. You passed out earlier and Russell carried you here. The nurse said it was because you used too much energy, that you should rest for a while" Leo explained.

"What about you?" Kakashi asked, his voice was still weak. "Are you okay?"

"Just some scratches and as for my eyes, the cracks are already gone. But I might not be able to use them for a while, and thanks to you, nobody found out"

"I’m sorry"

"It’s not your fault" Leo stood up and walked to the balcony, staring at the night sky. "It’s night time already. I can’t believe we were in there for a whole day, and you missed the entrance ceremony"

Kakashi stood up and walked to the balcony and stood beside her.

"Are going to tell me or are just going to pretend that nothing ever happened?" Leo gaze fell downwards and she began staring at the water fountain. "It... It’s okay if you don’t want to talk about it!"

"No, it’s fine" Leo said and faked a smile. "It’s not like it’s a sad story.

It started a few years ago, my father was a elder in the one of the great clan and a great swordsman who was only interested in power. He was married a woman from another great can as a way to secure a place in the royal family, it was believe that when a man of his caliber give birth to a child, it was sure to be a supernatural.

My mother was already abandoned by her father, so to her, it was a great opportunity to gain his recognition. So she agreed to marry my father and gave birth to a child but he died a few months later, my father blamed my mother for the loss.

My mother was frustrated, she pleaded with my father for another chance which he agreed but end up giving birth to a girl. My father was disappointed but still had hope till he was told that my mother couldn’t give birth anymore because of some complications during childbirth.

My father got angry and pushed us away. I grew up with my mother, throughout my childhood, my mother always stares at me and ask;

"Why are you a girl?, Why weren’t you a boy?"

I always felt sad and disappointed to the extent that I accepted it was my fault, I was the reason why my mother’s life was miserable.

Few years after, when I was fourteen, an uncle of mine offered to help us. He took us in and gave us anything we want in exchange for one thing. He sneaks in my room at night and force himself on me, when I told my mother about it, she slap me and told me to stop lying. No, it was more of :

"Why are you always trying to ruin my life, your uncle offered to help us and you want to ruin everything with your lies."

Or something like that, I can’t remember exactly what she said, but she was right. It was my fault, so I stayed and let him have his way with me. Each and every night, he always come and use me like a s*x toy till one day, I couldn’t take it anymore, so I killed him.

I hid a knife under my pillow and when he sneaked into my room, I stabbed him on his neck, he tried to run but I stabbed his leg and sat on him, with all the strength I could muster at that time, I stabbed his face again and again till I was sure that he was dead.

Then I suddenly regained my consciousness and stood up, I stared at the body, my hands began trembling, but I held the knife tightly and didn’t do anything else, I was too scared to move.

My mother came few minutes later and when she saw the knife in my hand, she lunched at me and almost strangled me to death when something strange happened. I can’t clearly remember what but I said something like "Stop" and before I knew, she was frozen.

The police came few hours later and everything was blamed on my mother, since I was too scared to speak back then, no one knew what really happened.

That’s why when you first call those cursed eyes of my holy, I told you not to. How can I possess this eyes after what I did?"

Leo asked concluding her story.
