Damned Healer -
Chapter 130: Not Subtle
Chapter 130: Not Subtle
Riding the white torrent, countless high-level elemental runes gathered at the center of Niara’s chest. The slug’s previous body had been destroyed — but now, Darian could rebuild it easily.
Unfortunately, with just one ring, he still didn’t have the ability to maintain another physical form.
Niara heard the voice echo in her mind. ’The Supreme Kamico Warlock!’
The miasma was swept away like mist under sunlight.
It was like a white sun had just been born in the middle of that place. The regular Risen froze, powerless — all the miasma on the planet was instantly purified.
Niara felt the pressure around her neck vanish. Then, as the light around her faded, a warm wave spread through her body, healing her completely.
Her eyes trembled. Her blue hair fluttered in the breeze as a cool wind brushed across her face. She saw green leaves dancing through the air, and the ground beneath her feet started to bloom with fresh, pure grass.
That light hadn’t just purified the miasma — it had brought life back to the land in an instant. What kind of terrifying power was that?
And then she felt it...
Something moved between her breasts, and she forgot to breathe. Afraid she was just imagining it, she hesitated to look. Lips slightly parted, she slowly moved her trembling fingers toward the tear in her dress...
And then she felt a soft touch against her finger. On instinct, her eyes slowly drifted down.
That little colorful creature, cute as ever, was staring straight into her eyes, mouth slightly open — like even he was a little surprised.
’Why’d I end up right back here again?’ his voice echoed in her mind.
Niara felt the connection snap back into place — no, it felt way stronger than before. And along with it came all of his satisfaction about being back... along with his fake surprise at it.
She swallowed hard, trying to hold back the overwhelming emotion crashing inside her.
’Oh? You’re feeling pretty fired up, huh? I can feel it. I remember telling you to trust me... what, you really thought I wouldn’t come back?’ Darian mumbled awkwardly, trying to return the mood a bit — and teasing her just a little.
She took a deep breath to calm herself, then said, ’Guess we’re both fired up, then. And speaking of that... I found better clothes for you to have some fun. Should be easier for you to slip around and "revisit" every little corner like before. Might even find some new ones, right? Just... try not to get too comfortable, hm?’
Darian froze... Niara was not subtle. Or shy.
He carved this into his memory: Never try teasing her again. She clearly had no limits and would hit back way harder.
Darian was still young and had spent his whole life in isolation, barely any contact with people — let alone women. And now he was in the middle of this, way too close to this stunning Dragoness.
For a moment, the two locked eyes — or, at least, the spiritual equivalent in that weird situation — and then a soft, beautiful smile curved Niara’s lips.
A single tear slid down her cheek. She flinched. She had sworn, many years ago, that she’d never cry again. But now... now it felt like she could finally let everything go and be herself again.
It all happened in seconds. The light around them faded completely, returning the world to shadows.
Darian let out a breath. ’I’m guessing we’re nowhere near the academy, right?’
’Yeah. I’m at the southern edge of the galaxy. Some serious stuff went down. Now, it’s the natives protecting this sector — not the Summoners anymore. That’s why I had to stay and fight to hold this place together.’ Niara’s answer came fast, laced with exhaustion.
Ahead of them, the massive Risen Chief reappeared, eyes blazing with silent rage. The dark energy surrounding his body pulsed, swelling to its full power.
Niara clenched her fists, ready for a brutal fight. This enemy was someone the two of them couldn’t beat... but now, she wasn’t alone, and that gave her full confidence again.
Darian stopped her with a calm tone: ’I healed your body, but your Bloodline’s drained, and your life force is unstable. Just watch.’
She frowned, confused. But then... something changed.
Darian’s two rings pulsed. Just like when he arrived, he activated ’The Supreme Kamico Warlock’ to its fullest.
Meru had taught him how to use it at max capacity. This technique was what let him control both types of Karma — and also the natural elements around him.
A Risen Chief showing up in this galaxy? No way someone that strong appeared without seriously messing up the galaxy’s protection system.
But the Risen didn’t even sense the danger — which surprised her.
’I’ve learned a little more about my power. I’m not the same as before.’ Darian murmured, closing his eyes — and settling in naturally, right into that soft, comfy spot he was in.
*Crack*
The sound of tiny things breaking echoed through the air.
"Rhaaagh!"
The Risen Chief roared, feeling his body being crushed by an overwhelming force.
Niara’s eyes widened. Only now did she notice thousands of small runes appearing around the enemy. Spatial runes. That’s how he’d gotten to this planet so easily — he’d been using those runes to hide his presence.
Darian had picked up on that right away, and started disrupting them — making them crack and shatter. And with that...
*BOOM!*
A cloud of purple blood exploded in every direction.
Darian didn’t have the power to kill him — not at all. What did it was the galaxy’s protective force.
That enemy had come here thinking he could fix the situation using just a sliver of his power, then vanish. All Darian did was break the spatial runes hiding him — and the galaxy brutally crushed him.
Now, thanks to his Master, Darian could fully use the curse. Even though he still had big limits because of his current level, his strength and potential had multiplied several times over.
He took a deep breath. Countless glowing lights appeared and began spreading all around them.
Niara was stunned by the feeling. It was like when Darian first created his calamity-level body... but now, it was totally different.
’The elements of this planet... is he controlling them perfectly?’ she whispered.
The world around them looked bright and magical — a sea of glowing, colorful lights.
As for the nearby Risen...
"Disappear."
The lights moved all at once. Like a massive wave, they spread across the entire small planet.
They hit the enemies from every angle.
The Risen sensed the danger and tried to defend themselves, forcing all their dark power to the surface of their skin to absorb the impact.
But there were no explosions.
It was like hundreds of razor-thin needles piercing straight into their bodies.
They screamed, mouths wide open in agony — but didn’t even have time to fight back.
The karma inside them turned on them, against their will. Their bodies collapsed from the inside out — and their lives with them.
Niara was speechless. Her heart just pounded faster and faster as she felt the aftermath.
It had been a single move.
Simple. Clean. Deadly.
Darian had wiped out every Risen on this small planet.
