After finishing her work, Mel immediately sat in front of Windy.

"You look more beautiful today, Windy," Mel smiled while observing her best friend, who looks different than usual. After a while, she realized..."Wow, Windy, are you wearing more makeup than usual?" Mel is surprised because Windy is the most conservative among the three of them, Anna and herself. Windy also doesn’t like parties, doesn’t like to look glamorous, and uses any makeup. She was famous for being nicknamed Saint Mary at college.

But now this girl is wearing makeup? Does she now have a crush on a man?

Mel chuckled in her heart, thinking about Windy having a crush? One thing that is unlikely to happen shortly, she once said she would not be in a relationship until she was 30 years old.

"N-No... stop talking about me." Windy cleared her throat then she continued... "Boss... how are you? You look more glowing. Something good happened to you?" Windy was amazed to see the aura on Mel’s face that was getting brighter, making her look like an angel who had a light on her face.

Mel laughed... "Windy, just the two of us, call me Mel."

Windy Nods.

Mel stopped teasing Windy because now her face was turning ashen she looked like she was afraid her secret would be exposed.

’Fine Windy... I will spill this news to Harry and Anna. Let’s see if you still can keep your secrets from them, the gossip predator’ Mel smiles quietly, proud of her idea.

"Windy, how are you? Are you used to working with Amy?" Mel is a little worried about Windy’s progress in the finance department. So far, she has worked without a boss. Only Hiro and Mel are above her, but now there is Amy Tan, the CFO of MT Group, who becomes Windy Boss.

"Ms. Amy Tan really helped me a lot, and she was very professional. I learned a lot from her."

"Very nice. Windy, you must learn from her. She is a genius in finance. She has been working professionally for 5 years, managing my assets overseas. And, when all the problems here are over, she will return to country M. You will replace her, become the CFO of the MT Group."

Windy was shocked. "Mel...? You’re serious?"

She laughed, seeing Windy’s face now pale with shock. "Why are you in shock? Don’t you want the position?"

"Who said I don’t want it? Of course, I want it. There’s no way I can refuse this offer. I’m just surprised that you’ve been thinking about me in the first place." Windy taps her cat eyeglasses, then continue... "But, Mel, right now, I can’t accept the position. I need to study first. I don’t think I’m confident enough to hold the responsibilities right now. "That’s why I asked Amy to come here. The goal is to guide you until you are able and ready to hold the position of CFO. Don’t worry, Hiro and I will help you later. After all, this is my company. No one will judge you, Windy... so take it easy."

"Thank you, Mel." Now Windy feels relieved. But suddenly she remembered something... "Mel, I read in the group chat, tonight you want to announce something?"

"I’ll tell you tonight with others."

"Okay then."

"Windy, how is Grandpa Salim? He’s fine right?"

Windy, eyes brighten... "Grandpa is in good condition, even more workaholic since your Grandma moved here. Now my grandfather is in charge of the S city branch. If I heard correctly, next month, he would be here. Do you want to meet Grandpa? Let me arrange a schedule so we can have dinner together?"

Mel nods.

"Windy, I forgot to tell you. My apartment in the Empire is empty. You can move there."

Windy is confused. "What do you mean, Mel?"

"I lent you my apartment."

"Are you serious?" Windy is surprised because Mel’s apartment is the most expensive in the city of J.

"Of course, I’m serious. Since I will be moving to the MT Group building soon, my apartment will be empty. So, you better stay there. Besides, the apartment belongs to the company, not me. As a potential CFO, you deserved it." Mel said while giggling.

Windy, feeling warm inside her chest, could only say thanks to her best friend for her kindness.

Mel adds, "So far, you’ve worked hard to help me and Hiro take care of the company’s finances. I can’t entrust this financial department to others, I need someone very close, and the person must be someone I know well. And the choice is only you because you are indeed studying finance and quite a genius in that field."

"You are right. I’m indeed a genius in this field." Windy said proudly.

"Hahaha... Windy, you really are a genius. The problem is, you’re too stiff. Once in a while, you have to learn to relax more. Learn jokes once in a while, will do."

Windy just smiled, looking at Mel.

"What time is the launching event?" Mel looked at her watch. It was 3 PM.

"At 5 PM, who are you going with?"

"With Hiro, do you want to go with us?"

"No. I still have a lot of work to do. Maybe I will come late."

After they talked about other things, Windy finally said goodbye. She still had many tasks assigned by Amy, and she had to finish today as well.
