Chapter 98: Are You Dating Someone?

A few days ago, Alex and Team One managed to catch a GHOST member. They were chasing him in the city K. Through that person, Alex got an important clue about GHOST headquarters. But he needs Mel to ensure GHOST exact coordinates.

Last night, Alex sent the vital information via encrypted email. The email can only be opened from Mel’s laptop or her personal computer at home.

Unfortunately, all the computers in her house have been dismantled. They are ready to be moved to her new penthouse in the MT Group building. So, she could only open it through her advanced computer.

In no time, she arrived at her apartment. When she exited the lift, she saw a tall and fit man looking like a soldier standing in front of her apartment door.

She was surprised to see him... "Brother Alex? What are you doing here, so early?" She walked fast to meet him.

"You received my email, right?"

"Yes."

"Did you read? I gave you a time limit until 7 AM, but you haven’t replied till now, so I decided to come to you because I can’t reach you by phone."

Last night before going to bed, she read Alex’s email, but she only skimmed through the email and not paying attention to all the email’s contents. Because at that time, her mind was entirely occupied thinking about Andrew. But she didn’t notice that her cell phone ran out of battery again. Sigh!

She needs to create a cell phone battery that lasts forever without charging.

"Really?" She checked her cell phone... "Brother, sorry my cell phone ran out of battery. My bad." She said sorry then immediately opened the door.

"Brother, wait here. I’ll check everything out in no time." She left Alex in the living room and went into her bedroom. She turned on her laptop.

"Max, open encryption email sent by Alex last night. Check whether the information is correct or not, and try to find their exact location. I need it as fast as possible."

Mel then charged her cellphone and scolded the phone... "Quick charge three minutes will do!"

She took her laptop and went out into the living room. She saw Alex sitting casually on the sofa watching the news on TV.

"Brother, what do you want to drink?"

"Anything"

After receiving a water bottle from Mel, he observed her, who was now sitting on the single sofa opposite him. "You didn’t sleep at home last night?" he asks calmly.

Mel was bewildered but only for a moment. She turned her gaze from Alex to her laptop on her lap and casually replied, "Hmm... I’m staying at a friend’s house." In her heart, she prayed that Alex would not ask again.

Alex was silent.

Mel was relieved. Her eyes focused on the laptop screen and her fingers immediately typed quickly on her laptop. She was tracking the coordinates of the Ghost headquarters around South Africa. She hacked satellites belonging to other countries that positioned above the African continent and shared it with Max to quickly find the Ghost location.

"Friends? Anna?"

Mel’s fingers stopped typing when she hears him asks again. She raised her head and saw Alex. Their eyes met. In this world, there is only one person she can never lie to, that is Alex.

"Hahaha, brother... What do you want to drink? Tea? Coffee? Or water?" She put her laptop on the table and stood up.

Alex didn’t answer. He just silently smiled as he played with the water bottle in his hand. He knew Mel was hiding something.

Since Alex didn’t answer, Mel decided on her own... "Okay, water will do!" She said and walked quickly towards the kitchen while cursing Alex in her heart. A moment later, she came back, then put the mineral water bottle on the table. While she sits on her sofa, she prayed that Alex would forget his memory and not ask the question again.

"Are you dating someone?"

Mel almost vomited blood from the shock.

"B-brother... What are you talking about? Don’t talk nonsense, okay." She wasn’t ready to tell him yet.

At a crucial moment, Max saves her... "Boss, I found them... I will send you the exact location, and you can see a live satellite of their headquarters and their activities."

"Really?" Mel shouted spontaneously.

Alex raised his brows.

"Good job Max!!" She said, then looked at Alex. "Brothers... I found their location. Sending you the coordinates and satellite photos of their base. You can send a team there for confirmation. If you need me, let me know. I can help you guys."

"Good job, little sister..." He stood up from his chair. "I’m going back to basecamp. Do you want to come?"

"Sorry, I can’t. This afternoon my company will have a new game launch event."

Alex nods and leaves her immediately.

Mel felt relieved after Alex left.

"Max, you save me...thank you, Max."

"It’s my objective, and that is why you made me, Boss."

Mel went into the room and started packing up her essential things. This afternoon Hiro will send Amanda and mover services. She just needed to pack her valuables in a big suitcase.

After a while, she took out two big suitcases from her room, and she tagged a sign ’Personal’ on the suitcase, then placed it near the items to be moved at Hiro place.

Soon, she left her apartment and walked to the MT group.

A few minutes later, she was sitting in her office room and busy in front of her computer reading the summary of company reports that Max had compiled.

Max really helped her take care of all the emails and office documentation related to her company. Almost 99% of her emails are handled by Max. She becomes more relaxed, and she can focus on other tasks such as programming or creating gadgets and technology that she can sell to the military or other countries.

She usually came to the office only to sign important documents or discuss with the IT team related to the MTGroup project. However, this afternoon she went to the office because she had an appointment with Windy.

Mel heard a knock on the door. Without taking her eyes off the document she was signing, she shouted, "Come in."

"Boss..."

"Windy, have a seat. I need to quickly read the summary and sign some documents first."

"Take it, easy, Boss." Said Windy, then sat on the sofa waiting for Mel.
