Chapter 90: Married

In his arms, Mel smiles silently while her eyes feel blurry, her tears flow to her cheeks. She cries because she is so happy, her beloved boyfriend just proposed to her.

"Thanks, Mel, for agreeing to marry me," said Andrew whisper in her ear.

Mel immediately lifted her face to look at him. With an innocent face, she asked him... "Andrew, as far as I know, when a man proposes, they usually give the girl a diamond ring and..."

She pauses hesitated to tell him what was on her mind now, but after a while, she finally said... "And, usually there are beautiful flowers around them with romantic music back sounded, right?"

She used to see the proposal scenes in romance movies or Korean dramas. The lead man used to do romantic things like that.

Andrew chuckled.

"Hmm... you’re right..." he gently stroked Mel’s sharp nose. Mel blinked several times and waited for him to finish his sentence. He continued... "Your engagement ring is not yet finished, while I can’t wait any longer to propose to you. So, I decided to propose first and then give a ring to you later."

"You’re mad at me for not proposing to you in the usual way?" His eyes flashed guilt.

"No, Andrew. I know you are different from most men out there, and you never follow the rules because you’re the ruler." She giggled... "I like you the way you are."

Mel can feel Andrew tighten his embrace, and he buries his head to her neck. She was amused, but she liked it. They hugged each other until it was dark outside then they finally decided to make dinner.

All food ingredients have been prepared by this housekeeper who lives right on the house’s ground floor.

And, as usual, Andrew did the cooking while Mel did the room tour to the second floor.

There is only a tiny living room on the second floor, one master bedroom complete with a study room, a walk-in closet, and a huge bathroom.

Mel just found out that this villa is a special place for Andrew. He lives here during the winter. He said, when winter comes, the scenery in this area is more stunning than spring, and he never invites anyone to come here. Mel is the only person who visits here.

This villa is not very spacious, but this villa’s land area is no joke because almost half of the mountain peak is owned by Andrew. And this villa is like a hiding place for him, from the hustle and bustle of city life, which sometimes makes him stressed.

Soon they were sitting at the dining table enjoying a simple dinner. This time, Andrew makes Japanese food; beef teriyaki, Ebi Furay, salad, rice, and simple miso.

While eating, they talked about Andrew’s plans to meet Grandma and take her to the Will mansion to meet his parents. Mel almost choked, realizing she had to meet the elders.

"Why are you surprised? Are you afraid to meet them?"

"No... but I didn’t expect to meet them so soon."

"Don’t worry, they’ll like you. It’s always been like that. What’s more, Grandpa, he loves you very much. You remember that since childhood, he has set us up for marriage." Andrew laughed as he recalled his childhood.

Mel nods while her cheeks are slightly red.

"They already know I’m proposing to my girlfriend," Andrew said.

Mel was stunned.

He adds..."But they don’t know my girlfriend is you. I didn’t tell them yet. We will surprise them when we visit Will’s mansion."

"Ooh!" Mel could only agree with him.

"And, I told Grandpa and my parents we decided to get married on your Bday."

Mel, who now drinks water, instantly coughs badly. She choked till her face turned red.

Andrew stands up and helps her to tap slightly on her back. "Drink slowly..." he said.

Mel glared at him.

’Who drops such a time bomb? You said WE ARE?’ Mel scolds him in her heart while still coughing.

After feeling better, they move to the living room, cuddling each other while Andrew turns on the TV and watches Netflix.

"A-Andrew... how come I don’t know we are getting married on my Birthday?" She is a little bit upset because this dangerous man decided himself their wedding day without asking her opinion. He said to the elder before he proposed to her. He is genuinely a ruler. He doesn’t follow the rules but acts according to his wishes.

Andrew, looking for horror movies on Netflix, turned to look at her. He was surprised to see his little girl pout her lips, so cute, he wants to kiss her again, but he holds his desire... "Dear, I just said to you.’’ he squeezed her hand gently then continued... "We have plenty of time, more than 3 months to prepare. I think this is enough, right?"

Mel is speechless. Her eyes still send a daggered glare to him.

Andrew can feel Mel angry. He stops searching for the horror movie and pays attention to his sulking little girl.

"Mel...." He calls her with his deep and alluring voice. Mel blink. He adds... "Don’t you want to marry me?" He asks with his firm and domineering looks.

"Huh?" Mel panicked. With her soft voice, she said, "Andrew... Who wouldn’t? I’m not resisting. I’m just a little bit upset because you don’t ask my opinion before you tell your Grandpa and Parents." She tried to explain to him, afraid he would misunderstand.

But after Mel said that, she felt confused... ’Why should I explain to him? Not the other way?’ She cursed herself because now her IQ dropped to zero again. Her mind goes blank just like that. Damn it!

Andrew smiled then hugged his little girl..."Mel, I’m really sorry. I don’t have any choice because Grandpa is threatening Me. If we don’t marry soon, he will arrange a marriage for me to his best friend’s granddaughter."

Mel speechless. This grandpa and grandson duo give her a headache. Actually, she didn’t really care about meeting the elders. She was grateful for their current progress.

Andrew has officially proposed to her, though without a ring or a romantic dinner. But, that’s okay... because he proposed to her in a lovely and meaningful place for him.

And their wedding day also has been decided on her birthday.

She could only smile to accept this reality. In less than four-month she will be Ms. William, the princess of the W Group Empire.
