Chapter 57: Dinner With The Adams (2)

Mel was surprised and at the same time felt funny to see Briel, the cute chubby baby, threw herself in Mario’s big arms.

"Uncle Adams, sorry we are late," Alex said.

Mel is a little bit confused. Is she heard Alex call Mr.President an uncle?

Mel glared at Alex and Mario; she already knows they come from the CCTV she hacked a while ago.

"Hi, you guys come? Why did you guys not tell me earlier? If we come together, we can save gas, right?" She asked them sarcastically, pretending that she was surprised to see them.

While waiting for dinner ready, they all sit in the spacious living room. Alex now talks with Uncle Daniel on the other side. Mel and Mario sit with Bobby and Briel.

Mel nods in agreement with this cute Little boy. "You right, aunty is too old for me. Just call me sister; sounds lovely." She smiles while touches lightly on top of his head. Then she sends a sharp glare at Mario.

Mario could only shake his head then talk to little Brie, who is busy eating cookies.

"Sister Mel, you are gorgeous; I like you." Mel dumbfounded. It’s the first time she hears someone express feeling to her. But, too bad he is only a ten years old boy, this is not worth celebrating. He adds, "And thanks for helping me. Could we be friends?" His cheek was slightly blushing like embarrassment, his brown eyes flashing light. He stretched out his tiny hand towards Mel.

It makes Mel excited for a moment, but at the same time, she wants to laugh because this little boy is talking like a grown-up man.

"Sure, dear." Mel bowed her head towards him, then smiled sweetly and reached out her hand for a handshake. "Nice to meet you, Bobby; let’s be friends."

He smiles broadly. Mel could only chuckle silently. After that, she asks him, "Bobby, I want to ask you something."

Bobby nods with his eye blink several times.

"Your little sister seems scared of; why is it?" Mel is curious because she likes Briel; she wants to play with that cute little chubby baby, but she is not friendly toward her.

"Sister, don’t worry about her. She always like that whenever she saw a girl prettier than her. And, she must feel jealous because you know uncle Mario."

Mel smile.

"Uncle Mario is her second favorite uncle," Bobby adds.

"And who is her first? Uncle Alex?" Somehow she feels happy to gossiping the little cute chubby baby, Briel.

Bobby shakes his head, "No... no, her favorite uncle is the first uncle." Mel confuse. How many uncles do they have? Before she could ask, Aunty Megan comes in to call them for dinner.

In the grand dining room,

Mel saw that some dishes were her favorite foods. Mel smiles and gives two thumbs-up to Alex silently; she knows Alex must have told them that she likes meat.

She is in a good mood now. In no time, they all eat in silence.

Still, nobody answers him. He finally gives up to ask these two ignorant people. He could only lean his back to the sofa and eat nuts while watching TV in the corner.

"I’m sorry little sister; I know this is my fault. I forget to tell you before." He smiles at her and feels more relaxed after he sees Mel’s a little bit calm.

Mel could only nod.

Alex adds, "To make up with you, I will treat you to dinner at my family restaurant? How?" Alex smiles in his mind; he knows so well Mel’s weakness, eats good food.

Her eyes glimmer when she hears Alex will bring her to eat at Steak House again. Of course, she will gladly accept his offer. "REALLY?" she asks.

Alex nods.

"Okay, brother!!" she immediately agrees.
