"Boss... this will take time because all these records are in the data center in Russia. I’ll go in there again and try to take everything I can get..." Said Max.

"Take it easy, Max. But try to find the clue before my wedding day. I will visit that place after the wedding ceremony is over..." Wherever that person takes her mother, she will make that place the location of her honeymoon. Her husband had asked her to pick a spot, but she had no idea. Now, she would use this as an excuse to visit whatever country or city it is.

She must find her mother and bring her back. Under any circumstances, healthy, sick, or whatever condition. She is so determined.

"Yes, Boss. And, just now, Mr. Hiro called you. He inform, your friends have come and are waiting for you..."

"Tell Him I will be upstairs in 5 minutes." She said, then took a deep sigh, trying to calm her heart and mind. She doesn’t want Irina to notice her changing mood.

After several seconds, she finally can adjust herself and comes out from her computer room. She heads to her penthouse through the stairs that connect to her study room in the penthouse. Irina follows her behind as usual.

When she appeared at her penthouse through her study room, Hiro was at the door. He was so surprised to see her.

"BOSS! You startled me... So you’ve been in the office for some time?" He asks.

"Yeah... I happened to have some work to do, so I stopped by for a while. Where are the others?" Mel calmly asked.

"Outside on the terrace. We will have dinner at the terrace." Hiro then asked her to go outside. But Mel refused. She wanted to greet Mother Nakayama first. So she headed to the kitchen. While Hiro goes to the terrace to accompany the others.

When Mel arrived at the kitchen, she saw a tall woman with short black hair cooking. She was accompanied by the chef from Mel’s sushi restaurant in Double Six Club. Mother Nakayama was so busy with what she was doing that she didn’t even notice Mel was already sitting on the island.

"Mother..." Mel greeted her politely.

Mother Nakayama turned her head at the sound of the voice. And a genuine smile that could be seen from the look in her eyes adorned her distinctive oriental face. A small oval-shaped face with bright skin as smooth as a baby.

"Mel...you come." Mother Nakayama greeted Mel in Japanese.

"Yes, mother... What are you cooking today?" Mel answered her in fluent Japanese. Since knowing Hiro, she was immediately interested in learning this language, making her always use Japanese when meeting her adoptive family. What’s more, Mother Nakayama could only speak Japanese.

"Sushi...No worries dear, I also made specially cooked sushi for you..." She hurriedly explained when she saw Mel was slightly surprised.

Mel chuckled when she heard mother Nakayama’s words. "Hahaha, Mother, you’ve prepared everything. Thank you. My husband will be mad if he knows I eat raw food."

"Not only him... I will also be mad at you, dear. So never dream of it, at least for the next eight months. Hold yourself until you deliver your baby, then you can eat whatever you want." She whispers. Afraid someone will hear their conversation.

Mel choked.

Mother Nakayama is way too scary, scarier than Lilly. She gulped. And immediately accept a glass of juice from her. She enjoys her snack before dinner while talking with Mother Nakayama, who is preparing their dinner.

"Mother... How is your future daughter-in-law? Do you like her?" Mel wanted to know her impression of Anna.

Mother Nakayama stopped what she was doing and looked at Mel before saying, "She is beautiful... and of course, I like her. She suits your brother so well... You know, him, right? He rarely speaks. He is also cold to others. While Anna likes to talk and easily mingles with new people. They complement each other...."

Mel quietly smiles when she looks at Mother Nakayama’s eyes. There is a sense of joy and happiness that radiates from her brown eyes, she really likes Anna. Mel became relieved knowing this.

"Mother, I’m happy for you... Brother Hiro finally finds someone he loves. Now you can rest assured that my brother will not die alone." She laughs when she remembers Mother Nakayama always calls her. And in each call, she continuously babbles how she is worried that her cold and never dating son will die alone.

Mel continued, "And Anna is my best friend. I hope you can accept her into the family. She is a kind, smart and hard-working woman..." Mel sincerely said what she knew about her best friend. She wants Hiro’s family to accept her warmly.

"Daughter... don’t worry. Mother will take care of her. And what about you... everything is ready on your wedding day?" She asks while focusing on preparing their dinner again.

"Hmm... My mother-in-law takes care of everything. She doesn’t want me to be tired." Mel laughed. "Mother, have you met grandma recently?"

"Yes, today we have lunch together downstairs, at Grandma Recipe’s Restaurant. Why?"

"No...I’m just asking." Mel was just curious because a few days ago, Grandma had asked her about Mother Nakayama.

What Mel doesn’t know is, they had already communicated with each other without her knowing.

She feels happy because her real family and her new family care for each other. She feels blessed.

Mel joined her friend because Mother Nakayama told her to go out to join her friends.

Mel saw that the terrace near the living room had a long table that could fit 16 people. The table was already decorated with fresh and gorgeous flowers and candles. Apparently, Hiro has made a good arrangement for their dinner today.

When Mel reached the terrace, everyone immediately stood up and greeted her. She smiles happily, seeing all her friends from her university mingling with her friends in high school. They are right away familiar with each other, even though they’ve only met for a few hours.

"Hi All, you’ve been here since earlier?" Mel asked and sat down next to Maggie. On the other side sat Anna and then Hiro. Then in front of her, there is Cassandra, Amy, and Harry. Then Windy and Sam.

"Not too long, about 30 minutes." Anna said, then she looked at Harry with a mocking smile before continuing, "But Harry, as usual lately. He just came to this terrace a few seconds earlier than you."

Harry glared at Anna. "Oh, really? Now you snitch me to the teacher! Can you not say secret things like that, Ms. Perfect?" He said jokingly with a big grin.

"Harry, please speak more politely to women, why don’t you?" Hiro, who usually rarely talks to them, suddenly chimes in. Making everyone there look at him with surprise. With the same thought in their minds. Wow! Hiro had just defended his lover in public?

Anna immediately blushed when she heard Hiro defend her. She feels shy, but at the same time, she feels blessed. Meanwhile, Harry is grinning even broader. And now, with a slight chuckle could be heard in it.
