With a trembling heart and tense body she immediately opened a program on her laptop. She tried to bring back those few lost minutes. She also wants to know what the hacker wants to hide...

After a few minutes of typing fast, she successfully restored the original recording. Her eyes stared at her laptop screen without moving, as if she was frozen in her place. She was afraid to play the video.

"Wife... is something happening? Why do you look so tense?" Andrew said while walking toward her on the sofa. Mel spontaneously closes her laptop and puts it on the table.

"No nothing..." She doesn’t want to talk about that accident again to her husband because she already promised him will forget everything about it. She will watch the video later if her husband is not around.

"Are you done?" Mel asks him.

"Hmm... wife, let’s go take a nap. You still have a few hours before dinner with your friends." Mel agreed with him. She follows Andrew to the master bedroom for a short nap.

"Husband, I’m sorry because today I didn’t accompany you to lunch and we won’t even have dinner later..." She felt bad leaving him to eat alone.

"Don’t feel bad dear. Tonight I invite all my brothers to come here. We will also barbecue outside." He said while lying beside her.

"Is brother Alex also coming?"

"No. Looks like he and a few teams are at the border. They would just return the day before our marriage. And, Alex said, he will bring your comrade to our party."

"Wow! That’s great... Mario was finally able to come to our wedding as well as the others." Mel felt so happy. Finally, Alex confirmed their schedule to come to her wedding ceremony. Soon Mel felt her eyes getting heavy and a few moments later she was asleep in her husband’s arms.

Mel left for the MT Group building earlier.

She wanted to go to her office first before going up to her penthouse for dinner with her friends.

Arriving on the 24th floor, she went straight to the computer room and asked Max to play the repaired video.

She felt a little tense watching the video footage again, but she had to brace herself. She had to know what was really going on.

Since then, this has been a big question mark in her mind...

Why would anyone cover up footage showing her mother’s car catching fire?

Mel is now watching the CCTV footage; After her mother’s car stopped overturned, the vehicle hit the road divider. Not long after that appeared several prominent men in black outfits opening the car door. And they take her mother out of the car.

"W-What..? What the hell is it?" Mel screamed when she saw that. Her eyes widened in shock.

Someone took her mother’s body and replaced it with another woman’s. That woman’s body looks similar to her mother’s. After that, a few men spilled liquid all over the car and set the vehicle on fire.

Mel was completely shocked by what she saw at this moment. How could anyone show up at the scene and take her mother’s body? They didn’t even look at her, who was lying not far from the car.

Why do these people take her mother and replace her with another body?

Where’s her mother, now?

Who took her mother’s body?

Now she felt like her brain was about to burst with hundreds of questions suddenly popping up in her mind.

With shaking hands, she typed fast. Instantly the computer screen went black and green-codes, and numbers appeared and dashed on her screen. Not long after, she got CCTV footage from another angle showing the people’s cars who took her mother’s body.

She also looked at the autopsy records of her mother’s body. She feels weird why the autopsy results say that the ashes and skulls in the car match with her mother’s DNA?

Did anyone inside the police and hospital deliberately falsify all that data?

If there really is. Who is it?

And why?

Now her feelings were a mix of joy and fear. Possibly her mother is still alive and healthy. The thought of that possibility made her entire body tremble. She feels thrilled.

She re-watch many times the footage of her mother’s motionless body being carried out from the car. Although the quality of CCTV footage a dozen years ago was not as good as it is now, she was able to make the video quality better than the original. And she clearly saw her mother’s body was still intact, and she didn’t see any trace of blood on her head.

This makes her excited and happy. Because she is always so sure,100% sure, her mother is still alive.

But now the question is... where is her mother? Who took her? Are the people who have taken her mother a good person or a terrible one?

"Max... get any identification and location of the car carrying my mother’s body. You have to get some clue on it!" She orders Max with her shaking voice.

After she finished instructing Max, slowly she stood up from the command chair and stood in the large glass window overlooking the darkened city street of J.

In the distance, the lights of buildings, streets, and vehicles look so beautiful. Still, Mel could not enjoy the city light as usual because, at this moment, her mind was chaotic.

She wanted to share this new discovery with others, especially her husband. But she was worried that Andrew would be disappointed because she was still investigating the accident. Even though she had promised him to move on. What’s more, their wedding ceremony is just a few days away. She didn’t want to spoil the mood.

For the moment, she will keep this for herself. She will investigate it first. If there is a clue who the people who took her mother’s body are, she will look for and find them even though they are hiding at the bottom of the earth. This is her new mission; to find her mother.
