Chapter 347: Misunderstood Intentions

After their order is done. Amy and Harry returned to the beach. Soon they found an excellent spot to sit and drink their coffee.

"Amy, can you hold my coffee?" Amy immediately takes his coffee even though she is curious why he asked her to hold his coffee? But later, she feels astonished by Harry’s action.

Harry took off his coat and placed it on the sand as a mat for them to sit on. He was feeling sorry for Amy having to sit on the sand.

Amy was surprised to see Harry’s gentleness but also makes Amy feel guilty. "Friend... I feel sorry for your nice coat..." She said while giving back Harry’s ice coffee.

Harry could only laugh to hear that. He ignored her concern and instead asked her..."Are you going back to the office this afternoon, or are you thinking of going straight home?"

"Looks like I still have to go to the office. There are a few documents I need to sign." Amy said while sipping her ice americano. "How about you?" She glanced at him.

"Same with you, I should go back to the office. Well... my division’s working hours are different from yours. We usually work when you guys are asleep."

Amy was stunned. "Why the heck."

"We are creative people. We work anytime and anywhere. We don’t follow normal office hours." He laughed.

"Wow... I just found out that MSoft Games is like that. Does the boss know?" Amy is surprised to find a company in their group and their building with no fixed hours.

Harry did not reply to Amy right away, but he saw her with sharp eyes before saying, "Aren’t you close friends with her? How can you not know she’s like batman? She was energized when night fell. And during the day, she sleeps a lot...." Amy laughs at realizing that. Harry continued..."Well, our Lady boss is the one who made us like this." Harry chuckled when remembering when they had to work with her for a new game launching all night long.

He continued, "We used to have discussions about game ideas at night.... When most of the people in this city were asleep. But, ever since she got engaged to Mr. Andrew, everything has changed drastically. I think Mr. Andrew changed her so much...." Harry glanced at her... "What do you think, Amy? Am I right or wrong?"

"Yes. You’re right... Mr. Andrew William has changed her a lot. Luckily in a good way." Amy murmurs. "So, Harry, if you stay up late at the office, is there a special room to sleep in?" Amy feels weird when she asks that. Why should she feel worried about the condition of MSsoft Game employees?

"Yes, we have. Our Lady boss decided to make a mini dorm on my floor. So when my staff could not go home, they had a place to sleep." Harry said. Even though his employees have dorms, he doesn’t like to sleep in there. He usually sleeps on the sofa in his room.

"Harry, let’s get back now... I don’t want to be the girl who has interrupted your crazy working hours. Let’s go...." Teased Amy while she quickly stood. Although she looked and sounded joking, Amy did feel terrible for taking up so much of Harry’s time. She knows Harry must be busy.

Harry laughed, seeing Amy putting on a funny panicking and guilty face... "Relax, Friend... don’t worry about me. My division doesn’t have a new project launching soon. So far, I don’t even have much work..." He said while following her stand. He did not forget to take his coat which was exposed to the sand. After shaking it off, he walked after Amy to the car park.

Later in the car, they were both more relaxed and open when talking to each other. In fact, they didn’t look like they had just become close friends a few hours ago. There was no sign of awkwardness between them. There was always something they could talk about. Makes long journeys feel short.

"Friend... which area do you live in?" Harry asked as their car pulled down the freeway.

"I live in the central district near Anna’s apartment. You know her house, right?" She glanced at him, who was so focused on seeing the road in front of him.

He nods. "No wonder you guys used to get to the office together."

"Oh, I didn’t know you noticed that?" Amy was surprised that Harry had noticed her.

"Hahaha, several times I saw that when I was about to get out of the car."

"Oh... yeah. Sometimes, I’m too lazy to drive when I’m tired, and usually, I ride Anna’s car. But, ever since she dated Hiro, I can never ride her car again. Because Hiro always picks her up." She said in an annoyed tone.

"How about you, my Friend... Which area do you live in?" Amy asks.

"Me? Well... actually, I live in the office." He said seriously.

Amy is stunned to know that Harry lives in the office. Is he like Hiro and Mel, who have an apartment in the office?

Harry continued his words when he realized that Amy was looking at him questioningly, "Hahaha, Amy, I’m just kidding. I don’t really live in the office. But I mostly sleep there. I rarely go back to my apartment because its location is far from the office. I have a house near my campus in the south district. Driving there is quite far, about 45 minutes from the office."

"Gosh! I thought you were the same as Hiro and Mel." She also laughed.

"Actually, lady boss Mel once asked me whether I needed a restroom in my office, and she would build one if I did. That time, I refused her offer. But now, I regret it. Because now I sleep a lot in the office..." He regrets ever rejecting Mel. If only he had agreed to her offer. He wouldn’t have to sleep on the sofa every night when he had to work overtime.

Amy, who heard Harry’s words, immediately felt sorry for him. Well, in her office, she has a restroom and seldom uses it. Out of nowhere, Amy suddenly thought of offering Harry to sleep in her room and use her bathroom if he needed to. But, she held back... afraid Harry misunderstood her intentions.
