Lilly chuckled when she saw Lisa Wang in panic. She continued... "I, Lady Lilly William, on behalf of my husband, Arnold William. I could tell you that we never have any sort of marriage arrangement of our children with any of the Wang Family. And sorry to say, we will never arrange any marriage with another family because my son already has a fiance." Lilly turned her head to look at Mel, took her hand, and placed her in her arm.

Her action is an obvious sign to this woman that Mel is her daughter-in-law. Not her.

Lilly’s action made Lisa Wang’s eyes widen. Especially when she realized the beautiful girl beside Lilly William is Andrew’s fiancé. She feels irritated, but now she is also scared because she claims to be Andrew’s fiancé and makes Lilly William angry.

"So, excuse us first..." Lilly said and left Lisa Wang, which is still frozen in place.

"Let’s go, my daughter-in-law, let’s go shopping and spoil ourselves...." Lilly’s voice purposely thundered for Lisa Wang to hear. They enter the elevator, which Irina and Lara had been guarding for a while.

After the elevator doors closed, Lisa Wang still stood in her place, feeling confused. How come brother Andrew William already had a fiancé? Wouldn’t she be the one getting engaged to brother Andrew? Why is there another woman? And since when?

Her heart rumbled, and her mind was chaotic. She can’t think straight at the moment. She immediately walked away from the elevator and called her grandfather.

"Grandpa, how could brother Andrew now have a fiance?? You told me that you were going to set him up with me?" Lisa immediately asked her grandfather.

"My Granddaughter, what did you say? Try to say it slowly, huh...?" Old Wang patiently hears his pampered granddaughter.

"Grandpa, I just met Aunty Lilly. She was with a young woman. Aunt Lilly said. The woman is Brother Andrew’s fiance..." Lisa still couldn’t control her emotions. She was distraught when she found out that the man she had always dreamed of to be her husband already engaged with another woman.

"Huh?! Grandpa didn’t even know about this news...Are you sure that girl is his fiancé?"

"Yes. Grandpa, I will not marry anyone other than Brother Andrew. So, if you want to see me married, then you must immediately make brother Andrew cut ties with his fiancé...."

Old Wang took a deep sigh hearing her angry granddaughter on the other end of the phone.

"Grandpa... I just want brother Andrew. You must help me. Do whatever you can do! By hook or by crook!" She said in a commanding and annoyed tone and then hung up the phone.

Meanwhile, when Lilly got into the elevator, she immediately grabbed Mel’s hand and said, "My daughter, don’t listen to that random girl, okay? You must know, we never discussed Andrew’s engagement with any family." Lilly was concerned her daughter-in-law would believe Lisa Wang’s claim.

"Mom... don’t worry. I will not waver with what she said." Mel hugged Lilly’s arm gently before continuing her words, "I believe in you and my husband..."

Lilly was relieved when she saw Mel’s face didn’t show any anger or disappointment with what just happened.

"Thank you, dear, you are such an angel. I always knew your heart was so pure. Now, I know why my son loves you so much. Because you are different from any other girl that I ever meet." She smiles dotingly at her daughter-in-law. "Alright, let’s forget what happened earlier. No need to think about it anymore. It’s a waste of time and spoils our mood..." She said while leading Mel to the boutique.

Mel silently smiles in her heart when she hears Lilly’s words, which makes her happy, and she feels a little bit warm in her heart. She was grateful to have a mother-in-law as good as Lilly. She is much different from what she saw in the dramas that Grandma and Aunty Chen watched. Most mother-in-laws on TV always hate their daughter-in-law and bullies them. Well, it turns out it’s all just a script and not the reality in general. She is a witness to it, having Lilly as a very kind and pleasant mother-in-law.

They did not stay long in the boutique. It only took 10 minutes to fit Mel and Lilly’s clothes for the cocktail party after the wedding ceremony. As for the wedding dress, unlike most women, Mel is clueless about what to wear. But, Andrew has some ideas about the wedding dress. So, Mel has agreed to let Andrew take care of it.

After finishing at the boutique, they decided to go shopping on the floor only reserved for VVIPs. Not many people visited this ground floor. They shop quietly without anyone disturbing them. All the staff on the floor had known Vivian and had great respect for her. All the team on the floor already knew her as the mistress of the William family. The owner of this shopping center, their lady boss.

As usual, Mel had no interest in buying things for herself. She was not interested in shopping. But her eyes roamed around to look for clothes for her husband.

But to her surprise, Lilly ended up buying so many things for her. Clothes, bags, shoes, and other things. Mel was amazed when she saw many shopping bags carried by Irina and Lara, who have become Lilly’s assistants today. And Mel was amazed even more when Lilly told her all of them were for her.

"Mom, why did you buy me this much?"

"Your husband said you were never shopping for fashion items. That’s why, while we’re here, I bought this many clothes for you to use...." She led her again to another shopping brand, "Let’s go, daughter... you still need more dress," She said with her eyes glimmering.

Mel speechless. It’s not that she doesn’t like shopping, but she already has a lot of clothes. And almost all of it is still usable. In her wardrobe, there are some dresses she hasn’t worn yet. Because she rarely goes to an event or hangs out with her friends outside. She is a homebody. She spends a lot of her time at home and in her office.

But seeing Lilly so enthusiastic and happy about buying it for her, Mel could only accept Lilly’s presents. In her heart, she scolded her husband, who told his mom that she rarely shopped. She promised to scold him later.
