Chapter 221: Exposed and Skinned Alive

In the restroom, Mel woke up from her sleep. She looked around the room. There was no one else in the room.

"Wolf..." She calls Andrew AI personal assistant.

"Yes, Ms. Boss?" Wolf’s voice was heard on the room’s speakers.

"Please let Max have access to the system in this office." She ordered.

It wasn’t long before Max’s voice was heard. Mel smiled and got out of bed. Now she feels fresher. She walked towards the large glass window on the left side of the bed, her gaze fixed on the MT Group building, which was visible from where she was standing at the moment.

"Max, is anyone looking for me? Please summarize all the events that happened in the last 3 days...."

Max told her; Hiro was the one who contacted her the most. But, nothing critical. He just wanted to report on the preparations for launching the Digital SoftBank, held tomorrow.

Other than Hiro, no calls or text messages came in that were worthy of attention. Except for one call from Alex.

"Mr. Alex is looking for you. It seems urgent. He’s been calling you since you left town J until this morning."

Mel paused for a moment. She remembered that she had sent the files she got from Russian hackers to Alex a few days ago.

She immediately instructed Max to call Alex. It wasn’t long before the phone line was connected, and she could hear Alex’s voice from the other end...

"Little sister? Where have you been? I’ve been calling you for the last two days, but you didn’t pick up my phone call, and the text messages I sent were also unreadable." Alex was worried that something had happened to her.

Especially when the team of three who followed her said that they lost track of her after she left the hospital a few days ago.

At the same time, Andrew could not be contacted either. Even Raymond, Andrew’s assistant, did not give him a satisfactory answer when he asked him. Raymond just said that Andrew and Mel are currently unreachable, but they’re fine. It calmed him down a bit but not wholly calmed down because he hadn’t heard Mel’s voice.

"Brother Alex, don’t worry, I’m fine. Sorry for disappearing so suddenly. I went to the island with Andrew. And there, the signal is so bad it makes me too lazy to check my cell phone."

"Island?"

"Yes, I know." Suddenly he felt his heart being torn apart. It hurt.

But a moment later, he came back to his senses... "Little sister, we’ve studied all the files you sent, and after we cooperated with other teams, finally we found a lead about the Ghost network in this country."

"Really!!?" Mel was so happy. Finally, there is a chance to solve this case quicker.

Alex adds, "Yes. We will act immediately. I hope you can stand by to help us from afar because we’ll need your set of skills to track, locate and shadow them. They are so good at hiding their tracks...."

Mel listened quietly to Alex’s explanation and promised to be ready to help them if needed. Alex also asked her not to leave town J. Especially avoiding towns B and S. They believe that Ghost currently operates in those two cities.

"OK, Brother Alex, I will do as you command." She said after hearing all his explanations and orders.

After turning off the phone with Alex, Mel stood still in her place. Thinking of Ghost, the organization that had been testing her patience since the beginning of the year.

Lately, she feels like she is being watched from a distance. But they were deliberately stalling for time, not wanting to attack her right away.

Damn it!! This feeling bothered her so much.

She wishes Ghost could be eliminated immediately.

"What are you thinking, my wife?" Suddenly, Andrew’s arms wrapped around her waist.

"Husband... since when did you come?" Mel was startled as her husband hugged her from behind, resting his chin weightlessly on her shoulder.

"Only just." He kissed her cheek gently. "Did you sleep well?" Mel nodded. "Good. Now, go wash. We will go to lunch at Wolfgang Steakhouse."

Mel turned to face him. Her eyes sparkled when she heard Wolfgang Steakhouse.

"Really?"

"Hmm, go hurry. I’ve prepared your clothes for you."

Mel went into the bathroom and immediately took a shower to refresh her body. After a while, she came out of the bathroom wrapped in a large white towel. Her black ink hair had been dried with the hairdryer in the bathroom.

She didn’t see Andrew in the bedroom. But on the bed, she saw a shopping bag from a famous brand. She immediately opened the shopping bag and saw a blue sky dress with flower print, knee-length, long sleeves.

Mel chuckled when she realized what Andrew had done. He always gave her a dress that didn’t show much of her body’s curves.

"You done?"

Mel turned to see her husband standing staring at her from the door. She just realized that her husband was dressed formally. "Husband, you’re wearing formal clothes. What’s the occasion?"

He walked to her. "This morning, there was a press conference, and my father announced his resignation as President of W Group and handed it over to me."

Mel was stunned. She just found out that there was an important press conference today. No wonder since the morning her husband asked her to hurry back to the city.

"Congratulations, Mr. President, you look so handsome in this outfit. I love seeing you in a complete suit and accessories..." she touched the gold crown prince pin in his suit before continuing, "You look like a prince in a movie I’ve seen."

Andrew frowned casually with his wife’s words, "Wife, I am a prince. Didn’t you know that? Almost all the netizens out there call me Crown Prince W Group." He laughed.

Mel was speechless, but she also laughed with him a second later, "Hahahaha, you’re right. Even Anna calls you that." She wrapped her arms around Andrew’s waist tightly... "Gosh!! My husband, now that you are the prince, I am your princess, right?"

"Hmm, my beautiful, sexy, and kind princess..." Mel smiles at his word, and she feels a kiss landed above her head.

Seconds later, Mel’s body suddenly tensed as she realized something. She let go of her embrace. She then took a step back, creating a gap between them. Later, she lifted her head to see his face before saying...

"My Husband, what if... your die-hard female fans out there know I’m your wife? They will skin me alive!!" She bites her lip, worried.

Andrew chuckled and took her hand. "Don’t worry, I’m pretty sure they will never do that. Well, if they did, I would make sure they would be....sorry...." He said it lightly but with a threatening tone. "OK, my lovely wife, let’s go." Andrew then pulled Mel out of the room.

Andrew and Mel are strolling to the restaurant now. Andrew hasn’t told Mel that his parents were waiting for them there.

"Let’s hurry honey, the steaks are waiting for us."

Mel could only smile to hear his words. She follows him to the elevator.
