Chapter 165: Personal Assistant

When she arrived at the office, she was immediately greeted by Amanda, Hiro’s secretary.

Mel told her about Lara and Irina who will soon come looking for her. When they came, she asked Amanda to take them to her office room.

Mel raised her hand, asking him to stop bringing it up again.

"Harry, this afternoon, you will treat us to lunch, right?" She asks him.

"Huh!? Aren’t you guys who invited me to lunch?"

She stopped her work and joined him on the sofa, she sat opposite him, "Harry, as far as I know, the one who celebrates the birthday is the one who will treat someone else, right?" She asked in a serious tone.

"Boss, how could you?" Harry was speechless with his shameless Boss. Annoyed, he continued his sentence, "Boss, you’re already this rich, your money can’t be counted anymore, you still ask your staff to pay for your lunch?"

Mel laughed.

Mel just laughed at him, she didn’t introduce them right away, but she waited for the others to come. She left the three of them chatting on the sofa while she sat behind her desk, finishing her pending task.

It wasn’t long before she received a short message from Grandma. This morning before leaving, she had texted Grandma, asking for uncle Liam’s phone number. It was only now that she received an answer from Grandma.

Windy and Mel ignore Harry.

"Guys, it’s almost twelve o’clock. We’d better leave now," Hiro said.

They all got ready to go to the restaurant, and they will meet Anna there.

Mel asks them to go first because she still has to call uncle Liam. And she also will go there with Irina and Lara.

When the others left her room, she took her cell phone and called uncle Liam.

For the second ring, uncle Liam answers the call. His voice is not so friendly because the incoming number is unknown.

"Uncle Liam, it’s me, Little Mel. Do you remember?" Mel greeted him cheerfully.

"Little Mel? Is this really you?" Uncle Liam’s voice sounded both surprised and happy. "We haven’t seen each other in a long time. Where are you now? Have you returned to country X?"

Mel lightly laughed when she heard her uncle sound excited with the call. She told him that she was currently in J and asked him to meet in her office without mentioning her intention to buy his company.

Uncle Liam happily agreed to meet right away. They would meet this afternoon at Mel’s office.

After hanging up the phone, she immediately straightened her shirt and left her room to the Double Six Club.

She arrived at the restaurant at almost 12 noon. She quickly headed to the sushi restaurant on the second floor with Irina while Lara parked the car. She will follow them after parking.

Just as Mel was heading for the VIP room they used to use, she heard someone calling out her name.

Mel looked in the direction of the voice, then smiled as she saw Anna running over them...

"I thought you had arrived, Anna."

Out of breath, she answered... "Blame it on the traffic jam."

They entered the VIP room at the same time. Irina followed closely behind.
