Chapter 281: Chapter 281: The Young Master Who Constantly Gives Out Candies
Eldest Young Master Yan never thought he’d see the day he would enter a pet shop.
As Zhu Qianying put it, he genuinely despised the smell of pets, as well as the incessant falling hairs.
In the past, he believed that people who kept pets were crazy, bringing trouble upon themselves. Imagine, deliberately disturbing your own clean and peaceful territory with a creature.
Yet, now he found himself with a hot head, completely forgetting his past aversion to pets and his disdain for those who owned them.
An unfamiliarity swept over Eldest Young Master Yan, who had never shown any interest in pets, as he entered the pet store. In contrast, his little boy was brimming with excitement and sprinted towards the dog cages as soon as they arrived.
As soon as Eldest Young Master Yan walked in, he naturally furrowed his brows and reflexively raised his hand to cover his nose.
Zhu Qianying gave him an amused glance, "You probably should have bought a mask earlier."
Eldest Young Master Yan immediately lowered his hand and pinched his nose, struggling to adapt to the odour which had once made him want to throw up.
"Sir, are you looking for any particular pet?"
Even though the little boy was already keenly squatting in front of a dog cage, the shop assistant still tactfully approached to address the adults.
Eldest Young Master Yan pointed to his son’s small silhouette, "It’s up to him, whatever he wants to buy."
The shop assistant immediately understood and led them to where the little boy was. She also squatted down to engage with him.
"Young brother, which pet do you like?"
The little boy had always loved small animals; cats, dogs, everything was adorable in his eyes.
Even those simple yellow dogs that you can buy for a few dozen yuan, he adored immensely.
However, precisely because of this affection, he was now facing the difficulty of choosing between dozens of big and small dogs.
After several rounds of scrutiny, the little boy finally pointed at a white puppy and said, "I want this one!"
The shop assistant’s face broke into a smile, "Alright, let me bring it out for you!"
"Wait a moment!" The Eldest Young Master Yan, who had been insisting that the little boy could choose any dog he liked, suddenly interrupted.
The little boy turned his head to glare at him, thinking that Eldest Young Master Yan was suddenly backing out of his promise and refusing to buy the dog.
"Miss, what breed is this dog, what’s its temperament, will it bite?" Eldest Young Master Yan asked while gently rubbing his son’s head.
The little boy relaxed and turned his curious eyes towards the shop assistant, waiting for her answer.
"Sir, I understand your worries, especially since children are naturally friendly with pets. If the pets are aggressive, it’s not good for the child. However, rest assured, this dog is a purebred Eskimo Dog, a friendly, alert, and intelligent breed. It might be a bit reserved, but it’s an excellent guard dog and would typically alert its owners with a warning bark at the approach of strangers. It won’t bite or attack people and it’s very good at learning new skills and eager to please its owner."
The little boy listened attentively, his eyes beaming even brighter the more he listened.
"Miss, can it play football?" The little boy tugged at the assistant’s clothes and blinked his eyes while asking.
"Yes, it can, as long as you patiently train it. It’s willing to learn!" The shop assistant beamed back at the boy.
The little boy’s eyes sparkled. He looked up at Eldest Young Master Yan and said, "Daddy, I want this one!"
Eldest Young Master Yan, thoroughly enjoyed his son’s affection, readily nodded his head, "Alright, this one it is!"
"If the young boy wants to teach it some complex skills, we have a professional coach offering specialized services!"
The boy became even more delighted, "Daddy, can we hire the coach to train him?"
Eldest Young Master Yan, consistently showered with his son’s affections, felt more than happy. How could he refuse?
Thus, they not only bought the dog but also purchased a dog house, dog toys, dog food and everything needed for a dog in the pet store.
While the shop assistants were busy packing the goods, the boy standing in front of the dog cage pulled the attention of the adults towards him.
"What should we name the dog?"
Eldest Young Master Yan and wife didn’t really have an opinion, and the Eldest Young Master didn’t seem to have one either, so it didn’t seem like they were going to think too much into it.
Pies! Only Zhu Qianying, upon seeing the little boy’s perplexed thinking pose, couldn’t help but chuckle.
"How about we call him ’One Billion Yan’?"
"One Billion?" The boy was a little puzzled about the origin of ’One Billion Yan’.
On the contrary, Eldest Young Master Yan understood immediately and gave Zhu Qianying a playful glare, "Ying’er, stop teasing! ’One Billion’ is the boy’s name!"
The little boy’s ears were sharp, and hearing this he sulked and pulled at Zhu Qianying’s wrist, pouting.
"Mommy, you said you would think of the best name in the world for me, but you came up with ’One Billion Yan’? I don’t want it! It sounds awful!"
Zhu Qianying barely stopped laughing, then pinched her son’s chubby little face, "I was just kidding!"
Meanwhile, Eldest Young Master Yan looked at his son, completely serious, "Who said it sounded bad? I think it’s good! I plan to name your siblings ’Two Billion Yan’, ’Three Billion Yan’ and so on in the future."
The little boy glared at him fiercely before burying his face in Zhu Qianying’s stomach in a fit of displeasure.
"Mommy, I’d rather be called Yan baby boy or Yan Young Master than One Billion! What kind of dumb name, One Billion Yan?!"
Zhu Qianying, trying hard not to laugh, patted his head, "Alright, I promise. You won’t be called ’One Billion Yan’. Is that okay?"
Even when Zhu Qianying promised not to name him ’One Billion Yan’, the name inexplicably stuck with the boy for many years until he found a wife, with his old man occasionally calling him One Billion Yan!
Of course, that is a story for another time. For now, with his mommy’s reassurances, the boy lifted his face from Zhu Qianying’s stomach. Opening his mouth wide, he stuck out his tongue at Eldest Young Master Yan and made a funny face.
"I am called Zhu-Zhu, not One Billion Yan."
Zhu-Zhu is the boy’s name when he is in M country.
"Ying’er, about the boy’s name, the old master’s idea is to take him back to the Capital City for a visit. There, they would find a master to look at his destiny and then choose a fitting name. What do you think about it?"
In fact, the naming of the little boy had been discussed quite a lot by the Yan family, but they never came to a decision. It wasn’t until the old master brought up the idea of naming him that they considered it.
However, the old lady thought that the final decision still lay in Zhu Qianying’s hands, given that she was the boy’s mommy. Hence, she had been hesitant to bring up the idea proposed by the old master.
As expected, upon hearing the old lady’s suggestion, Zhu Qianying fell silent immediately.
Did that mean that she would have to accompany the boy on a trip to the Capital City?
